Came here with a good impression left from a YEE here a few months prior, so my friend and I decided to dine here. The food was just average. Knowing the area it's in and the type of patrons that we saw coming in and out, I guess we can't say we didn't have some expectations. Definitely a place geared more towards special events or date nights, not if you want to be adventurous and try items you can't typically find elsewhere. We had the crispy shrimp rolls, curry noodles, and duck salad. The crispy shrimp rolls were nice, but weren't worth the $15. The curry noodle and duck salad, on the other hand, were much better but weren't anything that memorable for us to order again. This is definitely a great place to go for the ambiance, especially when you have a craving for Thai food. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come here again, unless I'm in the area and want some casual Thai food.
Enjoyed a delicious early dinner on a Saturday afternoon at Erawan Thai cuisine. Absolutely loved the atmosphere vibes in this beautiful restaurant. There were so many gorgeous portraits of the Thai culture from elephants to Buddha statues to colorful paintings. Appreciate how the staff politely greet me as they give me the menu and ask me if it's my first time dinning here; thought it was very personal with the finest customer experience. There were so many options on the menu; though I ended up ordering the Pad Kraprow served with chicken and white rice. Oh my! And let me tell you the wait was not that long. Totally devoured this delicious and tasty entree as it's my favorite, the chicken was perfectly sautéed with the right amount of bell peppers, chili peppers and basil leaves. Oh Ghosh! It's been a while since I had such an excellent Thai meal. And to top it off they have happy hour all day if I'm not mistaken with an affordable price. I'd obviously ended up ordering a lychee martini that hit the spot then the staff gave me a second drink on the house. I most definitely would visit again and I really enjoyed my experience here. Many thanks to the staff and chefs.
Haven't been here in a couple of years but this recent visit was a bit of a disappointment. We started with the papaya salad and roti massamum curry. Papaya salad was average, didn't have the bright flavors we are used to when ordering at other Thai restaurants or when in Thailand. The roti itself was delicious but the curry was super thin and watery, wish it was thicker for dipping. Our biggest issue was with the entrees. The drunken noodles were very salty and sweet. I will say for a small lunch order they did give a decent amount of beef and it was cooked well. Same with the tom yum soup, overly salty and sweet. We also had a grilled fish which was decent. Service was good and the restaurant is nicely decorated and intimate.
A woman of my word and I am back. We arrived before the crowd to experience the happy hour. We chose our seating. We kicked off with appetizers, portions for each item were enough to share with three.. Fried shrimp rolls, soft shell crab rolls, chicken satay and lobster triangles. Pineapple fried rice sans sausage as my partner is not eating pork. Light jazz set the mood and two tvs at the bar tuned into different stations. Dessert options were presented by the owner. I opted for fried ice cream and my partner the mango sticky rice. Outstanding!
I called Erawan Thai Cuisine this afternoon to ask about my food allergies. My dad and I decided to have lunch there. The restaurant was less than a 40-minute walk. The ambiance felt cozy and inviting, especially with the beautiful Buddha statue. Daily Happy Hour | 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Pomegranate Martini I took my first sip on an empty stomach because I couldn't resist the sexy cocktail. Crispy Salmon Salad This salad was delicious, with bite-sized crispy salmon, green apples, onions, and more. Thai Crispy Chicken Mmm, I dipped the Thai Crispy Chicken into the yummy, sweet chili sauce. Daily Lunch Specials | 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM Seafood Fried Rice + House Soup I couldn't stop eating the Seafood Fried Rice because it tasted scrumptious. I wasn't a fan of the bland House Soup. Bookmark this spot to try!
My last visit here was amazing as I attended a Black/Gold Yelp Elite event. I was so impressed that I had to bring my wife so she can experience this incredible food and wonderful hospitality for herself; from the moment we walked in, the experience was flawless, and a huge part of that was due to the exceptional service from our server, Hui. Hui is an absolute gem. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and had a fantastic knowledge of the menu. Now, for the food, which was equally impressive. We started with the Pad Sea Eiw with chicken. This is a dish I often order when I have Thai food, Erawan's version is now my gold standard. The flat rice noodles were incredibly fresh and had that perfect, slight chew and smoky "wok hei" flavor. The chicken was succulent and cooked perfectly. We also tried the Pad Kraprow with Pork, and it was a flavor explosion. The pork was not minced, but sliced and beautifully seasoned and stir-fried with fresh basil and chilies, creating an aromatic and savory dish that was both comforting and exciting. It had just the right amount of heat. The fried egg is an extra charge, but you have to order it as it brought everything together. For dessert the fried ice cream is a must. The thai fried chicken appetizer was the only dish that was average IMHO. Great specials on lunch and happy hour. Definitely a must go to spot!
We made reservations at this Thai place on Bell Boulevard. We greeted and sat right away. They had several specials on the menu, but we went with the drunken noodles, the baby back ribs, and the mango sticky rice We started with the baby back ribs, which were excellent. We fought over the last one. We also got dumplings, which were outstanding. For the main course, I got lobster pad thai, which was very flavorful and had lots of vegetables. The order was so big. I ended up taking some home. We shared a mango sticky rice. It was more than enough for two, plenty of mango, and it tasted wonderful. We will be back
I hadn't been here since before the new owner and redecorations. The owner and the staff are all friendly and attentive. It is a large and beautifully decorated space. Erawan Thai Cuisine is conveniently located on Bell Blvd, close to the Bayside LIRR station. One of my favorite things is when a Thai restaurant provides the assortment of hot sauces/chili powders/hot peppers. Another is Thai salad with peanut dressing and tofu. The lychee martini was so delicious! Not too sweet but. The baby back ribs had a deliciously unique sweet and tangy tamarind sauce. I definitely want to come back.
Ended up coming here because the Thai spot I usually go to on Francis Lewis Blvd closed early, and I was really in the mood for Thai food. I'm glad it did because this place was an awesome find. The staff was very welcoming, and the restaurant is super nice inside. I ordered the steak and baby back ribs. The ribs were probably the best I've ever had, and the steak was really good too, especially for the price. My partner had the pineapple fried rice, which was awesome. As I was leaving, I found out they have free parking in the rear of the building, which is pretty unusual for Bell Blvd and definitely a nice bonus. This place is definitely a must-try. I'd have to say it's the best Thai spot in the Bayside area and probably one of the top Thai restaurants in all of Queens. We'll definitely be back.
Greeted at the door, gentleman held the door open for my large group of over 30+ there for a Birthday celebration. They quickly accommodated us by rearranging the tables so we all fit and did it while having a pretty full house. Everyone was professional and very friendly, nice atmosphere. They were as kid friendly, as well as the menu to accommodate the kids - chicken finger, chicken wings, french fries, etc. They handled our large group very well. Taking care of everyone's drink orders as well as the need for the appetizer orders to be taken early, especially with the kids being hungry. Service was professional, fast and very friendly. The food was very good and so we're the drinks. I have had Thai Ice Tea many times at other places but this place made it creamy smooth. The appetizers were good from the calamari to the curry puffs. The main courses ranged from fish, lobster, crab to steak and my favor the curry noodles with big pieces of shrimp, chicken, scallops etc. The desserts were very good as well, the cake, rice pudding, mangos, and my Flaming Fried Ice Cream. The owner was so sweet and helpful - she took very good care of us and the Birthday Girl. I would definitely highly recommend this place whether you stop by just for Happy Hour or for a whole meal. Free parking around the corner or pay street parking. Bathrooms in the back. I paid with a credit card. Everyone spoke English, they were always smiling and willing to assist. They have booths and can configure tables for a large group.
We randomly chose this restaurant for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. They have lunch specials on weekends so that's a good bargain. They were friendly and attentive. Inside was spacious and decorated with many Thai elements as well as Halloween decorations for the season. I got the Gai Sum See (chicken, shrimp, squid). It had plenty of chicken, squid and shrimp. The squid was so tender. The sauce was a little salty but with the fried rice it cut the saltiness. My husband got yellow curry beef. He thought it was flavorful and liked it.

Covid outdoor dining was a mixed review. Food was delish, but service was pretty dismal. They kept accommodating guests by bringing out more dining tables. They had more diners than what they would've had if indoor dining was allowed. It took 20 minutes to get our order in and then at least an hour to see any food. In between that wait, we asked for water, utensils. So beware. read more

One of my favorite Thai places. A lot of Thai places taste pretty much the same (and they do it well), but this spot is a tier above the other spots. I highly recommend their Pad See Eiw. Great choice for noodle fans! This spot is pricey so just be aware, the bill will add up, but I say it's worth a try for the first timers. read more

Came here for something different. I had some bad experiences with Thai food, so now I'm just pretty picky. We were around the way, so we decided to try some place nice. I've been here years ago, but didn't get to review it. For the app, we ordered: - Satay - Strips of grilled marinated chicken or beef on skewers / peanut sauce / cucumber salad - Kanom Jeeb - Steamed Thai dumpling / minced pork / shrimp / mushroom / soy vinaigrette dip For the Entree: - Chicken Panang Curry - Panang curry / grounded peanut / chili peppers / kaffir lime leaves / coconut milk - Pad Sea-Eiw - Flat rice noodle /chicken, beef or pork / egg / Asian broccoli / sweet thick soy sauce For Dessert: - Banana Spring Roll With Jackfruit All of these were alright, but nothing spectacular. I've definitely had better. The Panang Curry was watery than what I was used to. Could have been better. The dessert was sub-par. I've made better banana spring rolls. I do like the ambiance of the place, and the servers were attentive and friendly. No huge complaints on my end. Will give them another try, though. read more

Really love this place. I came out yesterday and it was a very pleasant experience. The decor is so amazing. It keeps you busy. They have a full bar as well. Their food not only tastes amazing but it looks amazing as well. I ordered the pad kee mao and it was so tasty. The rice noodles were cooked perfect. The vegetables in it were so fresh. They also cooked the chicken in mine great. I also asked for it not to be spicy and they made it just the way I liked it. I was so happy. I will totally be coming back. Also the ladies room here is so cute. read more

Valentines Day could not have been better! We ordered our the lovely spring rolls with plum sauce, grilled branzinio with spinach and mushrooms and lobster stuffed with shrimp pad Thai. That and two chocolate martinis later made for the perfect meal. read more

One of the best Thai restaurants in Queens. I'm so happy they're still around. It's been a while since we ordered. Had some Drunken Noodles (Khee Mao) w shrimp. Easily made for two. Very generous portions. Hubby had Pad Kraprow (w beef). The appetizer of scallops and shrimp roll were amazing and came with a sweet and spicy sauce. Lovely decor and friendly staff. The food was excellent. As an appetizer I ordered a pumpkin/seafood soup. It was ok - too filling - and I couldn't taste the pumpkin at all. I'd pass on this next time. For an entree, I had Pad Krapow with beef. It was delicious! And the side of garlic rice was very flavorful... Good job. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. The only negative was that the tables are packed in pretty tight in this restaurant. People kept squeezing by us as they passed by, making our party a bit uncomfortable. Regardless, I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking good Thai food and good service. read more

I've visited this area quite a few times but never knew about this gem! Thanks to my friend who is much as a food enthusiast as I am now I indebtedly do. I'm glad this experience was on a weekday as it was very busy. The space is small and tight so can't image how it is on the weekend. My reference with Thai food has been unadventurous and limited ( pad thai and chicken satay mostly) so I asked my repeat customer friend to order. We start off with the Thai Spare Ribs and the Shrimp and Scallop Rolls. We go for the rolls first using our chopsticks. You get a nice crunch followed by a delicate balanced seafood blend. Neither overpowering the other. You could stop there but the sauce (sorry don't know what it was) brings it home. There's definitely a science to it. We quickly ditch our chopsticks and delve into the ribs. Thankfully they're bite size and you can still be cute eating them but who cares it's dark. Wowzers. Oh how I wish more came in the order. It comes with a sriracha dipping sauce which it did not need. I'm starting to see why this place is a best kept secret. For our mains my friend orders the Pad Sea-Eiw with chicken and egg, the Thai Shrimp Scampi and off the daily special a fried filet whole Red Snapper with a red curry sauce. The Red Snapper special was a good choice as there were no bones to pick and made it for better eating. It was fried perfectly with the right amount of sauce so the fish wasn't compromised. Although I'm not a Thai expert I think this qualifies as an authentic, solid and consistent establishment. The dishes not only tasted phenomenal but were appealing to the eyes. The tables were small so it was challenging having all those plates but my friend has table ocd as do I and condensed dishes at some point. Our waitress was pleasant. The service was a little slow. We had to ask for water several times and waited a long time for our drinks but we weren't bothered much. Just a notation. My next step? To come here during lunch to sample as many dishes so when it comes to dinner I'll be up one in my Thai game! read more
Today on my way to work. I decided to stop by Erawan for lunch. I was impressed with the restaurant's decorations.However I felt that the restaurant is very Americanize compared to other Thai restaurants in Woodside or Elmhurst which is more Thai. So if you like mild to little spicy, you will probably fall in love with this place. However if you like real Thai spicy, this might not be for you. However, I have to admitted that the food is tasted better than I expected for the review that I read. Today I ordered curry noodle (Kao Soi) which is Thai Northern style noodle and Thai Ice Tea. I'm actually love it. The noodle is very crispy and the soup that made from curry and coconut milk tasted great as well. The quantity is enough to fill me up and reasonable price. The servers were friendly and attentive. Overall experience is great. read more
