First time at this Escape Lounge! At first I thought it was small then I realized oh there's seats on the front of the entrance also with tables. Checking in went smoothly. This lounge is located right after the security check. It is very small and fills up quickly. There is usually a waitlist by 7 am but you just scan the qr code and they text you when a spot is available. Food choices are limited but there's water, coffee and canned soda. I have been several times now and food goes fast and is slow to be replenished...same with the plates and utensils. The mac and cheese is surprisingly very tasty. My other favorite is the meatballs. There is a full bar and is popular but I have never ordered a drink so can't speak to it. The staff are friendly. read more

Had a early flight & so glad this lounge was open. They open at 4am but don't think the hot breakfast items like eggs & sausage & waffles are served until closer to 5am. I was disappointed that they no longer have the coffee machine that you get to select latte/cappuccino/americano/espresso etc. it was just regular coffee. They had pastries no cookies, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit salad but it looked really sad & not fresh at all so I didn't want to grab any. They had yogurt & cottage cheese. No oatmeal either. When I was younger I used to take pride in getting to the airport as close to check out as possible-trying to minimize bag check time,TSA time and time waiting at the gate.My ultimate goal was to figure out a way to literally walk up to the gate 30 seconds before they started boarding so I could spend as little time as possible at the airport waiting to board. Flash forward to today and I find myself getting to the airport literally 3 hours before every flight-all thanks to discovering I had access to these silly little American Express lounges-a total game changer-I told my wife the other day when we were sitting in the lounge on my 3rd drink in terminal B awaiting our flight to Mexico City,"I don't think I will ever pay for an airport drink again" That being said-I've always considered the Sacramento Terminal B average at best-the food is pretty average,the drinks are just ok,only place I would ever even think of drinking Absolut Vodka-Yuck,but they are complimentary,so price is right,,they always seem to run out of something,either plates,or silverware,soup bowls,something that is a pretty simple task. I will say the workers are generally always nice and they do keep the seating area extremely clean,no stacks of dirty plates or dirty glasses will be found in the seating area. They do have machines for coffee,espresso,cereal.They have fridges full of canned sodas.No bottled water though,you will need to fill up your water bottle with water from a water dispenser located in The lounge if u want "to-go " or water. Bathrooms are located outside of the lounge area,minor inconvenience but overall not much of a hassle. Wait times can sometimes be a nuisance,as these lounges have become very popular and I have run into extended wait times if you come to the airport during popular times. All that being said-I do love my lounge access and will continue to try as many lounges as possible wherever I travel globally-it's a beautiful perk and one I hope never goes away. read more

(Can't much complain about a complimentary service in lounges when they still make it work!) Escape Lounge in Terminal B is small and cramped. I was literally sitting side by side with another traveler. Luckily, she was super sweet and nice and we had a nice long conversation. Although it was packed on Friday night, I was still able to get in less than 5 minutes after adding my name in the kiosk. Maybe because I was traveling solo. Food was mediocre. I didn't have a chance to take pictures. There was a salad, cooked broccoli, mini sandwiches and stored packaged cookies/pastries? No bottled water - only from tap. However, the bartender can make a killer lemon drop. It was even served in a chilled martini glass. Hence, the 3 stars instead of 1. I wasn't even half way through my drink. I got up to get more broccoli because the plate was tiny and can't fit much. I left my carry-on luggage next to the tiny table. When I returned, my drink, my utensils was all cleaned up. I was pissed! The drink was good and I was slowly sipping and enjoying it. I had to get in line again and ask the bartender to make me another one. She was very apologetic about it. Again, 3 stars instead of 1. I understand that staffs are told to clean up quickly so they can open the lounge to more travelers but not like this! Sigh! What a waste of good alcohol. 4/13/25 Heading out for spring break and was able to access the Escape Lounge with my priority access card as part of a couple of credit card benefits. Options of tea, coffee, soda. This lounge is one of the smallest ones I've been to. When we first got here at 6:30, it was packed with no seats left for us. About 10 minutes in, a good portion of people left but all tables were filled with leftovers leaving less to be desired seatings. Definitely not the greatest or worst lounges I've been to. Friendly staff and efficient wait list system for when they are booked. Very small lounge, but comfortable seating and tables with two TVs. Somewhat adequate amount of food (protein, grain, veggies, dairy, and desserts), adequate supply of coffee/tea/water/soda, and full bar for alcoholic drinks. Made it back here. Smaller than terminal A's lounge, but friendly staff makes up for it. Kylie the bartender was awesome - ask for the Toasted Almond if you like sweet cocktails (I do - it was perfect). This time around, pretty clean lounge, and food was plentiful. Was VERY busy around 7pm, but cleared out by 7:30pm. Felt a little like "Cheers" - there were clearly regulars, and they just popped in and popped out. Nice to know Escape Lounge options now available in both A and B terminals at Sacramento airport. Would definitely return if I was flying Southwest into SMF. read more

The Escape Lounges in Terminal B is located to the left just past the TSA security checkpoint. I accessed the lounge via Priority Pass, but not sure if they accept any other It is not a very big lounge so it can get crowded during busy times. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating. They open early at 4am, so it's convenient for those who are flying early. Breakfast offerings were pretty basic: eggs (scrambled and boiled), sausage patties, potatoes, fruit, cereal, pastries, etc. They have a decently stocked bar, but do not start serving alcoholic drinks until 6am (it's 5pm somewhere...lol). Bar seating is only for people aged 21 and over per state laws. The ladies that checked us in were really nice. Didn't really have any interaction with the staff once inside. They do not have any restroom facilities inside, but do allow you to leave and come back. Overall, it's a decent lounge to grab a quick bite and drink, but don't expect to get too comfortable as it can get a little crowded inside. read more

Nice experience at the Escape Lounge in Terminal B. I was able to use either the Priority Pass card, or the AMEX Centurion Card. If the venue is busy or has a waiting line, the AMEX card has higher priority to get in quicker. There are several small Chair pods, and small sofa arrangements in the front, and cafeteria char and table set ups in the back where the food is. There is also a small full bar service in the back room where alcoholic drinks are served complimentary as well. As there is no restroom in this venue, you do have to go out to the outside terminal to use the restroom. read more

I usually hate writing negative reviews so this one is new for me. This lounge is disappointing, I've attempted to visit this lounge 12 times in the past 2 years. I've only managed to get in 4 times. Those times I've been able to get in is when I show up at the airport 3 hours ahead of time because I've checked luggage. And waited 45 -95 mins. When I have arrived at the airport 90 mins to 60 mins before boarding, not the plane leaving, I've not gotten in. They always have a wait-list and I know my name has been skipped because I watch people go in who checked in over 20+ mins after me. Once you're in, it's no better. The lounge is extremely small, they tell you where to sit even if there are plenty of other seats open. If you're coming here to charge your phone or laptop, I hope you like gambling because only a selected few work. From my experience they are either out of 1 of 2 of the free wine and beer, it feels like a strategy so they make you buy the drinks. The food trays rarely have food. This time, I was at the airport 2 hours 30 mins before the plane boards. I waiting approximately 40-50 mins. The food was pretty empty so I asked how much longer, one employee said 40 mins and I only have 35 mins before boarding starts. Then two employees argue about putting out food, it sounds like they have to wait for certain times not when the trays are empty. This is bold strategy American express. I took the cold food since I figured I nothing was coming out. I also noticed that no one had he food quality is pretty bad, I've found hair in some of my food, such as inside the Mac'n' cheese. Wow, I thought they were actually getting better. Their water dispensers both broken (which is fine, it happens). My wife and I visited this lounge located in Terminal B on the left right after the TSA checkpoint. It was a busy morning, so we were put on the waitlist. The young gentleman who helped us was very courteous and professional. He was able to get us in the lounge in under 10 minutes. This lounge does accept Priority Pass. The lounge itself has several seating areas. There are some areas with couches and tables closer to the food. There is also a full bar with TVs showing the games. We were there during the morning time, so there were a variety of breakfast dishes laid out. The variety included fruits, yogurts, cereal, and orange juice. There was a chicken with rice dish, nachos and salsa, and tomato bisque soup. Refreshments included water, soda, and diet soda. Overall, this was your standard lounge. It is a good way to sit, relax, and get something to eat and drink before your flight. read more

A very decent lounge. You can get in if you have one of the higher end AMEX cards, Priority Pass, or you can also pay to get in. I haven't used it, but they also have a lounge in terminal A. The place is small, so it does fill up quickly. You can make a reservation ahead of time, but you have to arrive within a 30 minute window of your reservation time. When I tried to make a reservation, it said they weren't taking any more reservations, but I still got in when I got to the airport. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, there is a full bar, sodas, , coffee, espresso, , and a small but decent food section. It's much better than having to pay airport prices for food and/or drinks. . The lounge does not have a restroom, but it is very close to the airport restrooms. The seats are comfortable, and there are plenty of plugs and USB ports to charge your gear. there are also "flight boards", so you can keep up with the status of your flight. I like this lounge a lot. I'm glad I now have a place to stop at when I'm flying out of SMF. read more

I got to compare the Terminal A location to the Terminal B location. The lounge itself is pretty much exactly the same. Eggs, sausage, cereal, breads etc...the only thing that makes Terminal A nicer is the fact that Terminal A is sweet! Nice private restrooms, everything is new. Let's start with the fact that you are supposed to just have access to the lounges with an Amex platinum card you pay for. Obviously they made the lounge too small, and before it was busy; now you have to 'sign in' to get access in-line to be let in. The process of waiting can take 5-10 minutes on a light travel day and even longer if it's a heavy travel day. Which ultimately means you're eating someplace else or your expected time to relax for your flight is far shortened. Coming to the airport earlier makes zero sense for this forgotten-amenity. Now for the food. Meh. Small buffet. I guess it's a small airport. But food options are limited. If you drink alcohol the options of certain alcohols are limited to what you might consider 'from the well'. Like absolut for example. However other alcohols are more higher end. The staff, like anywhere, are hit or miss. Today we had a great bartender and great support staff cleaning tables pretty thoroughly. However the guy at the front desk was obviously slow playing letting people in because at all times there were several seats empty. Not sure what he was evaluating letting people in other than minimizing the workload of himself and others. Overall, if you're expecting an experience like other centurion lounges, lower your expectations. This is only a place you want to visit if it's available and don't think arriving early to the airport is going to give you a nice relaxed trip. read more

Facility was dirty and food mediocre at best. On initial entry the lounge was essentially full, only two staff. A sole male staffer was incredibly slovenly and spent most of his time playing on his cell phone. Meanwhile there was debris on the floor, dirty dishes left rather than being picked up and tables sanitized. This is really small lounge and its always busy! It was 6am and I needed some coffee and a snack before our 8am flight. Luckily I only waited for a few minutes. The food today was pretty good, sausages, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, fresh fruits and oatmeal. There were pastries, hot chocolate, coffee and other beverages. They had a good variety for a small lounge. The bartender lady (totally forgot her name) was super nice. Seemed like she knew the regulars and was very social with guests. This place has gone WAY downhill in the last year. Like, WAAAYYYYY downhill. We travel at least once a month out of SMF for work, always stopping at (or at least trying to) this Escape lounge using our American Express card to access. Let me explain the good things: If you get it, you can have a couple snack and a drink or two. Now the bad: They've resorted to a gate-keeping approach out front of having you sign-in on a wait list due to 'overcrowding' inside. We believed it at first, only to come in multiple time (several in the last 45 days) to find many open tables and seats, but the sign-in sign still out front. They are literally just trying to chase people away. Even worse? It's miserable inside now. Constantly dirty. Food unmarked (allergies alone warrant having food be identified). Crowded. Loud. In terms of what used to be a HUGE reason to stop here, grabbing a soda and water from their fridge, that's now been changed, too. They've gone to hiding the sodas behind the bar so you have to wait in line to ask for one. Absolute bonkers. My biggest pet peeve? There's a water dispenser for sparkling water that we always used to fill a water jug with. It's been broken...for almost a year!!! They refuse to fix it. It's literally become a piece of garbage. They have a sign on it now warning that it's not a drain. Seriously. The card companies (Amex and Chase) need to crack down and stop paying for their members to access this crap hole until they fix it up. It's a sad excuse for a lounge. read more

The food is just ok but since it's free, can't really complain. This lounge is really disappointing.
