The hubs and I recently had dinner here. It was a very nice experience. The restaurant itself is pretty new and clean. The server was really nice and we never felt rushed during our dinner. The apps:started with the brisket queso and I was surprised how much we liked it. It could have used little more brisket; but overall very tasty queso. It had a bit of pico de gallo on top too. Comes with chips. The steak: I had the renegade sirloin with shrimp. He had Flos filet. It's no lie because Flo knows steak ! His steak was better hands down, very tender and juice - and he ordered his well done. We go to Roadhouse frequently but may have to come here instead. The other star of the show: Mac and cheese bacon. It's as good as it sounds. The salad: very good salad, they use the premixed lettuces and all was fresh. I hate old lettuce. Ranch was on point. To-go: we took home the strawberry shortcake and cheesecake. I liked both but the kid said her favorite was the cheesecake. Side note: my shrimp and his corn on the cob were very salty. We were seated around 12:30, so lunch had just started. We asked fur baked potato as our dudes and were told they were out of baked potatoes. How is a steak house already out if baked potatoes not far into lunch time?? The service was not great, we had to flag our server down every time we needed water or drink refills. She was not very attentive. The steaks were cooked correctly, but the mashed potatoes they subbed for baked potatoes were bland and my fried okra was inedible. I ordered pick up from this location. Online was ordering was easy and efficient and the drive up pick up made it even better. My friend had been raving about the garlic lamb chops so I finally decided to order them. I had the lamb chops with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The lamb chops were pretty good. I chose to have mine cooked medium. They were a nice size and it came with five lamb chops. It came with a quite little loaf of bread too that was soft like a pillow! This is one of the newer locations so the inside reflects that in terms of wear/tear, smell and overall cleanliness. No complaints there. Jam was the server I had. Their level of service was pretty good. The only critique I have is that they better pace/space out the appetizer & entree arrival, as everything came out at once. They did mention there was a situation that happened in the kitchen that could've contributed to the delay of my appetizer, but I would've halted on calling the main until that was rectified. When it comes to food everything was prepared well & tasted good. No notes. I will say I was hoping they had the crazed parmesan crusted lamb chops on the menu, but they only had their chicken dish or the option to add the crust on top of your steak. Fingers crossed that it's more of a seasonal dish that hasn't been discontinued as I'd love to try that the next time I visit. read more

We tried the steakhouse out as a last-minute choice before a concert. The other options had too long of a wait. This restaurant was willing to accommodate the group of 10 of us in the bar with no weight and the service and food was outstanding. We tried just about every steak option on the menu and all were greatly enjoyed. The appetizers were also delicious. The cocktails were quick to come and well-made. Wow! I'm so glad we found this place. I took my dad here for an early Father's Day lunch, and I was so happy with the experience. As soon as we arrived, the hostess greeted us with genuineness. Then our server came and was so professional and pleasant. Our meal was delicious! The bread and salads were fresh, the steak was well cooked, and the chicken fried chicken was crispy and tasty! The strawberry shortcake was light and a perfect way to end the meal. This entire meal was so enjoyable and yet affordable. If we had all of this in uptown, we would have had to pay twice as much for the same quality of food, service, and ambiance. The salad was good. The sweet potato was good. We asked for medium rare steaks and they were spot on - medium rare. Our server was good. So, why the 1 star rating? It was the worst steak we've had since we moved to the DFW metroplex 14 years ago. You could not taste the steak through the heavy dose of spice. I even tried to rub it off with some bread, to no avail. To her credit, the waitress offered to give us new steaks cooked without the spices on them. But we were returning home after being at a car show all day and didn't want the added delay. So we ate our sides and a few forced a few more bites of steaks and left. Was there last night for my brothers graduation we got there about an hour before close and they had a us wait 25 minutes for a party of five. It's not the first time we've gone to Longhorn, but it was the first time at this location and it was very disappointing. We ordered a brisket queso to start and it was salty, and the chips were stale, we also ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they later came to tell us they were out. The side of broccoli was salty, the rice was salty, the shrimp was salty, and the two sirloin we had ordered were tough, and they were both medium rare. For a restaurant on the nicer side it did not meet its expectations. read more

Went with a group of close friends to celebrate a birthday. Our server from the start seemed to have a "rush" in her tone. Her name stayed with "D" and she had long red hair. A few of us were asking questions about items that we had ordered before but didn't see in the menu she told us that she had only be there "like a week so probably not". When taking my order I COULD NOT finish a single word without her asking me what else trying to rush through my order. Our table was full of app plates that she never once tried to clear before our mains started to come out. After food finished coming out I was missing one of my sides she brought it back and wasn't seen again until we had all finished. Never offered refills on drinks and never checked to see if everything came out okay. For the birthday dessert she brought it out sat it in front of her and said "here happy birthday" and walked away. Never asked if anyone else at the table wanted desserts just brought the check books. I had an e gift card that I received from work I waited for her to come back all she said was write down the number tossed me her pen and left. 10 minutes later she still hadn't come back. We had to go up to the server stand to close out. I left her pen at the table she said asked if id go get it and the I went to hand it to her and she said oh it was so you can sign and walked away and left the book with my boyfriend. Coming from a Restaurant Manager of 5+ years the quickest way to ruin a customers experience is by lack of QUALITY customer service. If she was that new the restaurant she probably still should have been side by side with another server or not sat a large party. read more

Good god, we were given plastic utensils to eat our steaks, which by the way, came out borderline cold. In what world can a plastic butterknife cut through a steak? I understand that they were short-staffed, but you cannot expect patrons to eat steaks with plastic utensils especially when we would have waited a little longer to receive a proper knife and fork. I believe this is the one of the worst locations in this chain establishment and I would go to Chili's instead which is more likely to be consistent. Should be called Longhorn Salthouse. Everything but the salad was way too salty. I mean just covered in salt. What a shame. My hungry belly loves steak but they not only destroyed mine with salt, but also overcooked my order of medium. Service is hectic and management staff seems to wander around but not really do anything. Four managers walked by our table and never said a word to us. One plus, the place is very new and looks really nice. We will try another location and see if salty is their thing or if it was a bad night for the Mesquite location. read more

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Mesquite, TX. From the moment we walked in, the experience was disappointing. The receptionist was not welcoming at all and came across as rude and uninterested in helping. We were there to celebrate my mom's 49th birthday. When we arrived, we politely asked the receptionist if she could store my mom's ice cream cake in the freezer. She already seemed reluctant to do so. We then waited about 30 minutes to be seated, even after letting the receptionist know that our entire party had arrived. Each time we asked for an update, she repeated the same response and eventually gave another excuse, saying the table wasn't ready because it was dirty. After we were finally seated, we waited an hour for our food to arrive. No one ever informed us about the expected wait time, even though we had younger children with us. There were gnats flying around our table, and when the food finally came out, it was cold. Our server never once checked on us during the meal. When it was time to bring out the cake, we discovered it had completely melted because the receptionist never placed it in the freezer like we had asked. I spent $60 on that cake, and we weren't even able to enjoy it. We asked for the manager multiple times, but the server never gave us any information about when the manager would come speak with us. By the time the manager finally approached us, it was at the door after we had already paid and were leaving. Overall, the service was extremely disappointing. If the staff does not want to work, they should reconsider being in a customer service role instead of treating guests with such an unwelcoming attitude. Unfortunately, because of the unprofessional service and poor experience, I wasn't able to properly celebrate my mom on her special day. read more

Place has been very hit and miss the first time I went there. Everything was phenomenal. The waiters were dressed in buttondowns. They were smiling and happy very welcoming. It really made me want to go back. The second time I went, the staff had gone downhill in my opinion they were in T-shirts that were not well kept shirts weren't tucked in food. Had to be replaced on both mine and my wife. By the time I received my food she was done with hers. This was on a weeknight and my wife encouraged me to go back a third time before I just give up. We eventually did go back a third time and what we've discovered is Friday Saturday Sunday management actually cares about what goes on however, Monday through Thursday it's very evident that they don't. The staff that's available on the weekends is top-tier. The staff that's provided Monday through Thursday, however is a bunch of children who is being managed by a child himself. Nothing I asked for or said was taking serious at all when we went during the week. I guess the old saying when the cats away the mouse comes out to play is a big factor here we will return again, but it will only be on the weekend during peak hours when actual management there is available to correct any issues or to encourage the staff to do their part read more

Laniah took care of me, and did a fantastic job, checking in on me often enough and bringing out things very quickly. The food was great, everything was hot, and I was in and out of there within 40 minutes, with a couple of to-go items courtesy of Laniah. Longhorn Steakhouse I had lunch today at the Longhorn Steakhouse Service was great, seated promptly, waitress was very attentive. A manger came by a couple of times to check. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin medium with mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked to perfection, as were the mashed potatoes. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfect size lunch for me. Water only They brought out a mini loaf of bread, which looked very tasty. I didnt try. I will return soon, and report back. I do highly recommend this location. read more

Waiter Damon was friendly. Food was delicious. The manager was very present. The restaurant is working out their kinks in getting efficient. The hostest had a few hiccups with the system. My sweet potatoe order was incorrect, but my waiter took care of it. The manager really backed his employees and helped to smooth things out at different tables. I will absolutely come back. We've been here SEVERAL times. However we'll be sticking with Saltgrass or Roadhouse who is fair with their lines. We got in line at 8:30pm on Saturday, 3/14/26. Arrived at 9pm. Continued waiting to be seated, at around 9:45pm, a family of 5 comes in. (I CAN SEE IM #5 IN THE WAITING LIST). Their kids are acting bad, screaming, etc. so at 10:05 or so, (when I'm #3 in the line atp, a party of 15 and party of 2 infront of me), the family go complain to the front and guess what. THEY SEAT THEM. We been waiting since 8:30 in line. But they seat someone else infront of us ? Because what? They complained ? We didn't get seated until around 10:20. And we saw the other 2 parties be seated who were infront of us. So basically they let them skip the line cause they complained. So now if I go back I'll make sure to just complain to screw everyone else in line over. I advise everyone to complain if you got a wait since that's how they roll. read more
