We checked this place out for dinner recently and had a good meal. We added ourselves to the wait list on our drive over and it worked out so we didn't have to wait much at the restaurant. We started with the fried pickles. They were flavorful and came out hot. My daughter enjoyed her kids steak bites and apple sauce. My wife ordered the Dallas filet with green beans and I had the sirloin combo with shrimp. So much food, but the portion sizes out match the price. read more

Food was great! My daughter and husband loved their steaks. I enjoyed my salad, I do wish you had more vegetarian options for people like me. The server was upset with me when I did not tip, I didn't tip because we are on a budget. Don't judge someone because you never know what is going on at home! It seemed clean and was a nice place. Complaint - Negligence and Failure to Respond | Mesquite, TX Location To Whom It May Concern, This email serves as a formal legal complaint regarding a serious injury caused by negligence at the Texas Roadhouse location in Mesquite, Texas, and the company's complete failure to respond, follow up, or demonstrate even minimal concern afterward. On July 30, 2025, my family and I visited the Mesquite, Texas Texas Roadhouse to celebrate my birthday. What should have been a routine family dinner turned into a medical emergency due to your company's failure to maintain a safe parking lot. My wife stepped into a pothole in your parking lot, lost her footing, and fell. The condition of the lot was dangerous and clearly not properly maintained. Several bystanders stopped to assist, and due to the severity of her injuries, we had no choice but to leave immediately and go straight to urgent care. At the medical facility, my wife was examined, X-rayed, placed in a medical boot for her foot, and given a hand wrap as well. The total medical bills resulting from this incident exceeded $48,000. These were not optional or precautionary visits--this was a direct result of an unsafe condition on your property. I contacted the Mesquite location promptly. An incident report was filed, but the staff appeared far more concerned with collecting information for liability purposes than with my wife's actual well-being. At no point did anyone ask how she was doing, express concern, or follow up afterward. I reasonably expected--at the very least--an apology, a return phone call, or some acknowledgment that a customer had been injured on your property. That expectation has proven to be grossly misplaced. Since July, I have: Called the Mesquite location multiple times Contacted the corporate office repeatedly Been assured that someone would "get back to me" Left voicemails and messages on at least a dozen occasions It is now the end of December, and no one has contacted us. Not once. This level of indifference is unacceptable. It demonstrates a complete lack of customer care, accountability, and empathy. The message is clear: once the money is spent, customers no longer matter. To be clear: I am not someone who looks for lawsuits. However, your continued silence has left us with no other option. Your company has been given more than adequate opportunity to address this matter informally and responsibly. You have chosen not to. As a result, I will now be filing formal legal complaints and pursuing all available remedies related to this incident, including but not limited to negligence, failure to maintain safe premises, and failure to respond in good faith after a documented injury. Everything was going good, mid way through our time there our waitress got switched out by the manager and we were told they were going to give us a new waitress but nobody ever came. We had to ask the person that brought out our food for refills and eventually the waitress we had before passed by and took care of us for a second when she saw the plates, empty glasses, and trash starting to pile up. Very unpleasant. Felt like we were bugging people just to get some service. I have mixed feelings about my experience at this location. I came in yesterday and sat at the bar but was a little disappointed when nobody was trying to ask me if I needed anything for a while. It wasn't until I tried getting one of the server's attention, that they finally helped me. After that, it all went well with the service. My issue is mainly with the food, the steak was cold and so were the fries and broccoli. I was starving so I didn't say anything and took the food home. I can put it in the air fryer and it would be ok. After all the bread filled me up. I'm willing to give the location a chance, as I've been to the Terrell location and they rock. Considering all the bad reviews, it's no wonder we had a horrible experience. My husband and 2 of our friends went to eat here on 01/03 and it was horrible. The waitress was never around when you needed her, she took 30 minutes to get a refill, the wrong food was brought out THREE different times. 2 of the times the wrong food was brought out it was by a MANAGER which is who we told what needed to be corrected. Then we decided to just cancel the whole order because at that point nobody wanted to wait for a 4th time to get a "corrected" order. My husband and I have always gone to this location for our anniversary and we've never had any problems until this visit. Texas Roadhouse, a BBQ franchise that really surprises me how good good their food and service is. The place is similar to a TGI Fridays. The staff use to sing and country dance near the bar to certain songs. The food is what really surprises me. They offer house made salad dressings and home made buns with the best honey butter. I often have way too many buns - but they are soo soo good. As you walk in, you will see a meat fridge. You an choose your own cut of meat if you so choose. I've been to several high-end steakhouses but the meat quality is average and the cook is typically started in a pan and finished in the oven. Tx Roadhouse cooks on a open flame on a seasoned grate grill. (Just like cooking at home.) I love being able to pick my ribeye from the display fridge (20oz-22oz). Sides are good too. The quality of beef is on the mark - perfect. The cooks know how to cook a true medium or what ever you ask for (you don't need to scale it - it will come as ordered). There can be a wait, but it's worth it. Secret - get the app and book ahead about 60-90 min in advance to skip the wait. I go between 4pm and 5:30pm and can usually get a table easily. Not sure why this place has such a low rating. It's a good ole Texas Roadhouse with fresh bread and cinnamon spread, happy faces of employees and delicious food. Service was quick and efficient considering that we were there during Saturday lunch time, food did not disappoint as always! I had Long Island tea top shelf and paid 7,5$. The price for two people ordering: fried pickles, blue moon, Long Island. Cheeseburger and smothered chicken came to 57$ without tip! I went to sit at the bar for lunch and a drink with a friend of mine. She doesn't get carded, but I do. They take my card and are gone for 10 minutes. When they finally return, they inform me that they can't take my New Hampshire id. I am well past the age of drinking. I explained that I had other cards with my name on it, and I have my graduate school id with my name and photo. The manager was incredibly condescending and seemed to be on a bit of a power trip. The happy hour margaritas were so good, and the bread and sweet butter were so appetizing. Literally ruined my dad's birthday. We had a small table of 6 adults and 2 kids. It took almost 2 hours until we all got our food and check and child leave. We also asked for them to sing happy birthday when we order dessert, and I guess our waitress forgot? But it didn't happen. Our dessert was just dumped off at our table.
