Delicious! I loved everything we tried. Pork was very tender and flavorful. Beans and rice well cooked and tasted great. Waited 45 minutes for a take out order. Food was sub par. I was unable to eat my flaun. It was gritty. I would not return. Ordered a cubana sandwich. It was not what I know to be traditional. No pickles or cole slaw but rather pork and lettuce. We had a hard time ordering for our group because there are no prices listed. My sandwich with flaun was $17. Far more than I typically spend for lunch but how could I possibly know that? Not what I know to be authentic. read more

I've eaten from this restaurant twice now. I wanted so badly to be wowed by the food, but I wasn't. That being said.. the food was not bad. The rice, despite being a different texture each time (more aldente the second time around), had a great flavor. It was not neon orange, but a light yellow color.. which lets me know that it was flavored with more fresh ingredients and not just a couple packets of sazón. The roasted pork was good. It was moist and seasoned perfectly. The texture of the mangú was a bit runny, which is different than what I'm used to... more like it was put in a blender with extra liquid than the traditional mashed finish. It was a bit on the bland side as well. The octopus salad was fresh and tasty - perfect amount of acidity.. although, the octopus itself could have been a bit more tender. I didn't try the beef pastelillo/empanada, but my husband did and he said it was the best he'd ever had. The side of potato salad was okay.. potatoes, eggs and mayo. The portions of the entire meal seemed appropriate for a large. I'd like to add.. actually emphasize.. that the food was not salty, which seems to be a trend in a lot of the Latin food restaurants here in Rochester - Thank you for that! recently i've stopped going there after having been served food there for so long, they hired new people who obviously don't know what they are doing or just don't care. the people who run the store are perfect but the service has definitely deteriorated from the portions they serve you and prices increased. why would i pay more for less? anyway i'd recommend cocina latina the food is equally as good and cheaper read more

We've gotten take out here twice. My S/O really likes the flavor to their jerk chicken. I really like the stewed pork he got last time we went there so i got it this time. It is actually stewed pork ribs and they were falling off the bone, with such great flavor!
