Located on the corner of Cypress St. and Hinds Ave. next to Hoagies and near the beach. We were walking by looking for coffee and walked in this Surf Store which also serves coffee. We ordered a couple of their 'Drip' coffee. The coffee was good, freshly brewed and super hot. Service was ok. There's a couple seats at the counter if you'd like to enjoy your coffee there, but we continued walking towards the pier. Overall, we had a good experience here.

"Not LA, Not The Bay" - Crème Brûlée With a Cherry On Top (Literally) This spot brings a refreshing originality to the coffee scene. I ordered what the barista called "ridiculous," (I don't even remember the actual name) and ridiculous it was-in the best way possible. Imagine this: a cloudy, velvety drink made with perfectly sweetened cow's milk, crowned with a layer of crème brûlée and drizzled with cherry syrup finished with an actual cherry on top. The texture? Light and smooth. The flavor? Balanced not too sweet, not too strong. Heavenly. I'm not usually one for small talk, but the barista's energy was hard to ignore, in a good way. The conversation was chill, and you could tell he genuinely cared about every step of crafting the drink. That kind of passion shows, true artist. It made the experience even better. We'll be back soon!

Great espressos and cappuccinos, and friendly people. We bought our coffees and walked around town.

So good! They really know good coffee and this seams to be a local favorite! Very friendly and just the vibe!! Loved the coffee and the atmosphere Very creative creations I came back twice in one day. Brought home the beans for my espresso machine. This is not your average chain coffee, very special. I can't wait to visit PB again. Loved walking here from the hotel every morning.

I went for their warehouse sale. They had a large amount of items available, but only a few styles. I ended up shopping at the original store where the coffee shop is located. The sweatshirts that they had to offer were really cute! However, I thought they were overpriced. I probably would've made the purchase if it was about $20-$30 less. - There is street parking and it's not metered. You're not too far from the pier... maybe a block away. So, it's nice to park near the shop and then walk around. - The staff was really welcoming and kind. They helped me obtain the size I wanted and kept one of the items on hold for me while I made my final decision. The decor of the space is well laid out and I would recommend checking it out if you're in Pismo.

I went here with my boyfriend to grab a coffee from the small coffee bar. The owner was the one who helped us. He was very down to earth & had an awesome story. The retail store is clean and has a great selection. We got a creme brulee latte and a salted caramel latte, both with sugar torched on top! You can tell the owner truly has fun with his work & we will visit again. SLO is definitely NOT LA & NOT THE BAY - that's why we all love it so much! Great branding!

Picked up a nice hat & patch from Esteem Surf Skate. Cacti Coffee Roasters was delicious!

My new go-to coffee spot (Cacti Coffee) when I'm in Pismo. Mocha + oatmilk, was one of the best cups of coffee I've had. The Esteem shop also had great style, with a super nice staff.

    Sea salt caramel latte

This was the best cup of coffee I've ever had in my life. The crème brûlée spin on this classic sea salt caramel latte is insane. The shop it's located in is a surf shop with a vintage feel. It sits perfectly on the corner of the street looking at the beach. Went there two times and the baristas were a pleasure to talk to each time.

    Words to live by.

A High Five to Big 5! Thanks for being there [which kind of reminds of the movie..."Being There",…read morewhich is quite funny & is even pertinent to today's goof-balls]! Congrats also to me, since I have had my shots [not Rabies] & so far remained semi-sane, but now am a proud owner of a SUMO-C-19 Ultra Jumbo Belly [TM:)]. If you too have managed to also sprout a SUMO-C-19 Ultra Jumbo or even just a slightly smaller Regular Jumbo Belly, then get here STAT! Big 5 has Belly Busting prices [with the multitude of email alerts] and some equipment & supplies to make either a dent in your waistline [not in your wallet] or at least impress your diabolical iwatch, which is always spying on my Coach-Potato ways. My demonic iWatch conspires with my dastardly iPhone to constantly defame me/you on my/your slothful ways. Mark my words, it even tracked your slothfulness for the whole duration of the pandemic. You get NO CREDITS for even living thru this nightmare, nor saving you & others from disease, nor death. It is ruthlessly judgmental & belongs in North Korea & not here. I am almost sure Kim Jung iLL had some hand in hacking these devices to demoralize patriotic people like me. The big Kim J. iLL or KiLL for short is really suspect. So yes, in part, my [K]i[LL]-devices made me come here...especially the pulse & EKG readings [I will not even acknowledge the horrid Cardio goals which I rarely meet...EEK!]. Once you somehow convince yourself that there are more things in life beyond eating Cheese Puffs & staring in horror at the idiot box waiting for any given Apocalypse scenario, you start to contemplate even walking up hills & mountains.... for FREE EVEN! Idiotic, I know! I do not think the lord would have let us invent flat smooth sidewalks, if he/she/other still wanted us to crawl ape-like up barren slopes...all the while being exposed to various Grey Wolf/Wolves [only one they say..but it takes only one rabid one to do you in...it's GPS tells us that it crossed the 101, but not where it is...ha...so useful!], rabid mountain lions, rabid bears, rabid Coyotes, & worst of all rapid rabid Rabbits! EEK! Anyway, since it I have to weight the relative dangers of rabid humans vs. rabid wildlife, I figure I will go with the dangers of wildlife anyway....but almost always bring one or two sticks with me... just in case a rabid mountain biker gets too hungry. The good humans at Big 5, DO NOT JUDGE YOU & are quite polite...at least to Geezers like me [THANKS!]. Not like my darned PCP, who is not even happy with the lowest Cholesterol reading in all my life! Anyway, after tormenting myself with almost weekly death defying walks or hikes for around two months, I decided to start upgrading my stuff. Some quite needed, like a trade in for my worn New Balance 99X "Made in the USA" fine {slippery on slopes} running sneakers to a generic made in Vietnam synthetic one with HUGE GRIPPY KNOBS on the bottom. If you have a SUMO-C-19 Ultra Jumbo Belly you definitely need HUGE GRIPPY KNOBS on either your bottom or on your soles, not souls. While you are busy gawking at the all the Gizmos on sale, at this almost lone relic of Brick & Mortar Pre-history, you may find other stuff you may not need. Since you are a guilt ridden rabid iWatch tormented confused ovoid human, you may even buy a Hydration Backpack. Even if you happen to be overtaken & overrun by blind arthritic decrepit rabid Rabbits, at least they can have a drink to go with one's bloated obese spherical shape. Why for Fauci's-sake would I pay $50 for a plastic Pickleball Racquet? Likely because I happen to see some other stir crazy young non-decrepit humans play this lame sport on the city's Tennis Courts....and since I am now a decrepit old Geezer, I thought...why not own yet another Sport Object that I may never use? At the very least, the lot of nice UA 77% Cotton socks that I grabbed here on a good sale can be also be used on the coach & are hardware compatible with Cheese Doodles. Cheese Doodles & Big 5 Socks do not judge one and best of all they do not begin with an i..... Thanks Big 5... [I have been please with Big 5's in Pismo/SLO, but will check out the other Coastal 3 for things that are out of stock]! Now where oh.... where is my Thorazine...and what is that foam coming out of my mouth? For fun, here is the incremental order of my ascent into "Hiking Delirium": 1-Use worn running sneakers on hike= slip & slide but mask stays on. 2-Use unused Costco hiking sticks stuck in car trunk for years. 3-Contact Running WH on line in SLO to send prof. hiking sneakers via UPS...not fitted. 4-Hike, slide more, get hot & thirsty, pass out, & EMTs called. 5-Return Running WH sneakers to them since they do not fit & reorder & repeat twice...still do not fit! 6-After 3+ visits to various Big 5's, get much of what I need for less $$$! 7-Still forget essential stuff in car, like H2O. i-Dummy!

I ended up picking e-bikes and The Wife was terrified. She said, "If one of us dies, I'll be so mad at you!" She really did say that. We waltzed into the bike shop, in the group of shops right off Front Street. Easy peasy. The gentleman running the place was super nice and answered all of our questions and gave us some options to choose. We looked around and picked a couple of bikes that looked like standard, step through beach cruisers. I skipped the helmets, just to mess with The Wife. The nice dude went through the operating such as throttle, brakes, kick stand, turning on/off, etc... We were ready to cruise the open highways, wind blowing through our hair as we sped helmet-less, laughing and yelling at people. We really didn't yell at people, or go on the highway, or speed. We did laugh and have a great time while not going more than 10mph! Ha! We were both a bit shakey to start, as we had not ridden any type of bicycle in some time. It was just like a pedal bike and in fact we peddled quite a bit and used the throttle for some of the small hills just to make it easier. We had a great time and when we returned the bikes, yet another nice dude met us and checked in the bikes. We hung out and chatted for a bit before venturing off to find some cocktails to sip by the beach. Oh, and on the way home The Wife said that she had a great time on the e-bike and maybe we should look into getting some. Huh? OK... Go! Ride Wild!! HAVE FUN!!!

It was pretty early on a Sunday and at the time they were one of the few shops that were open. I began talking to the employee and lo and behold the employee was the owner. I mentioned to her that since I was a kid my family would make annual trips to Pismo and we always came into her shop because it was "cool" and wasn't like anything we had in the Valley. This tradition has been going on for 39 years now. I mentioned to her that since having my own son (9y/o) he loves to go in and check out the merch. He had been looking for a Joe Montana jersey and during this particular visit and the one prior, the store was out of stock. The owner was nice enough to ask for my phone number and said when they got a new shipment she would let me know. Well, she held true to her word and contacted me about a week ago. We conversed via text and I asked for shipping details, price, etc and she was gracious enough to ship me the jersey and it arrived within a couple of days. The point of this post is that The Sports Forum is unlike any other sports memorabilia store you'll fined in or out of the area. The fact that the owner went out of her way to contact me and take the time to ship me the jersey speaks volumes of her and her business. I'd shop here or contact the Forum before going to a large chain store (i.e. LIDS) for their uniqueness, hospitality and prices. Thank you again and we hope to pop in soon!
