I live locally and there aren't many great places to go. Eureka really needs to up their game. I'm pretty bored with the menu and there aren't many great options that are healthy but not a salad. I don't want a burger or a salad. Like the beer and the mixed drink drinks. Would love a better happy hour menu. The one thing I really don't like is I've been in there many times for a drink at the bar and you wait for a long time even though there are many people working and wandering around. They need to do a much better job, greeting people, and make sure that they are taking care of more quickly at least with a beverage and a menu. Service people are nice, but it's just not very efficient. Sometimes they're just around talking to each other. Not my favorite place to go, unfortunately. Would love to be going here often, but just don't. read more

Decided to give Eureka another shot after a year. Unfortunately, they've somehow managed to make everything worse. In my first review I noted how good the truffle cheese fries were. You got a nice amount of fries and a healthy sized container of the truffle cheese sauce to dip them in. Now, you get a sad looking small plate of fries with a tablespoon of the sauce unevenly splattered on top. This costs almost $10. Bar service is still terrible. When we sat down, there was one bartender servicing all the table tickets and an almost full bar, with the table tickets keeping him from doing the bare minimum of filling drinks at the bar itself. We were handed a single menu to share and no napkins or silverware when we ordered food. When a second bartender materialized, she spent her time preparing garnishes and also servicing table tickets. No offers to refill drinks ever happened despite us sitting right in front of the ticket machine with empty glasses. Other bar patrons were visibly annoyed with the same slow/absent service. I don't need to be doted upon but when you sit at a bar to have a couple cocktails there is an expectation you will get prompt drink service. That's the point of a barstool but somehow after all this time Eureka still hasn't figured this out. I won't be returning. read more

Consistent quality and clean restaurant. Highly recommend the happy hour menu and the nine dollar double smash burgers on Wednesday are the best deal in town, better and cheap cheaper than fast food, hard to beat. read more

Wowza!!! 18.50 for 8 wings! Double Cheese burger - $21! Seriously? Service was non existent. I will say the dry rub wings are great. Wine selection, ok. Nice place. But between the abysmal service (obviously massively under staffing) and the wildly overpriced menu, not worth it. Remember, spend the buck on service, labor, and give great service, and we will forgive the egregious pricing. Food is good, lean into Hospitality. We eat next door often but have not checked this restaurant out since it's opened. Had dinner there last night. I had the kale caesar salad with blackened salmon. It was good. The kale was surprisingly tender and not tough at all. My husband had their American burger and he liked it. Restaurant was too dark for us. We can't read the menu, and I like to see what's on my plate and what I'm eating. It's more of a bar (with tons of whiskey & cocktails) if you'd like a place to hang out. Service was good. I arrived early just after 11:00 am so the restaurant was opening up. The areas were clean and inviting. I ordered a Eureka American burger with fries to go from the hostess. She welcomed me and was courteous taking my order. The manager assisted with a reward I had received. My food arrived in 15 minutes. I've always loved Eureka and I'm glad they have this new location closer to where I live. They've kept most items on the menu I love, except for the riblets that were discontinued. While I do miss them, they still have so many great options. Their burgers are all still fantastic and offer different flavor profiles from other restaurants. They also have an extensive drink list so it's fun just to come for bar drinks. The service is also always excellent with friendly and fast teamwork. I expect to be by many times. read more

Our server, Ava, was great. We arrived a few minutes before the end of Happy Hour and she quickly took our order so we could get our HH order placed in time. Food was great (HH cheeseburger, chicken lettuce wraps) as were our HH drinks. Our server regularly checked to make sure we had everything we needed (ie, extra ketchup, extra napkins) and overall a great experience. My friend and I came here last month to check out this new spot close to our office. We both got the double smash burger. Burger was juicy, seasoned well and loved the brioche bun! We also got the max n cheese balls in replacement of fries. We had to try them since it's something different. My friend really liked them. I thought they were good but not great. It was a little salty for me. Love that they had cocktails on the menu. We got the lavender iced tea and blackberry smash which were good! Service was a bit slow for it not being so busy. First time to visit and it's great restaurant to be with friends. The place is great for large groups. They have American food which are priced right. Servings are good and plated well. Our server was very pleasant and attentive all through the night . We stayed 3 hours and we were never rushed . One of our friend was celebrating her birthday and they even set up the cake we brought and sang for us. I will definitely go back here if I am in the area. We had a wonderful server on Monday, July 28th. Sarah is an amazing, helpful representative for your restaurant. She took my friend's food restrictions seriously and made sure to check with the kitchen about preparing her food and advised her about seasonings used etc. Sarah also suggested at the end of our meal, to download the loyalty app and get points and promotions. She said it could take $15 off of our bill that day. She helped us set that App up, applied the discount to our checks and continued to come back to see if we needed anything else. This was my first time here! The place looks so nice and the ambiance is great! The inside and outside are nice options! I went for happy hour and was able to sit away from the bar but still get happy hour prices. The food was great and our server was able to recommend different drinks and entrees for us! There was a point where we were waiting around but once our server got to us the rest was smooth sailing. I'm not the type of person to leave a review after a single issue. I understand that mistakes can happen. But unfortunately, this isn't the first or even the second time I've had a problem with orders from here, and this time was the final straw. My wife and I ordered two medium burgers for delivery. When the food arrived, we sat down to eat while watching TV. Distracted at first, I didn't immediately notice the strange taste and texture. It took a couple of bites before I realized something was seriously wrong. The burger was literally raw. What I don't understand is how two burgers, ordered at the same temperature, could be cooked so differently. The difference was extremely noticeable. I was really hungry and ended up throwing my meal away out of disgust. By the time I realized what had happened, it was too late to order anything else besides fast food since most places had closed. Even then, I wasn't planning to write a review but what pushed me to do it was that I got sick. I threw up all night and felt horrible the next day. It took me two full days to recover. Please make sure your food is being cooked properly. Undercooked meat can make people seriously ill. This should never happen. read more

My first time eating at a Eureka... this one opened across the street from where we live. It's a nice restaurant... very generic looking though, nothing too unique. I mainly went here bc I was meeting up with others for a quick lunch. The food is ok, not terrible, not amazing. The food is also not that unique, it's just normal American food. Nothing really stood out. The service was kinda slow during lunch time even though they weren't that busy. I think this is a type of place for middle- older aged people. Not really my cup of tea but many others like coming here based on each time I walk by there's people eating. It's definitely bringing life back into that little area. This was our first time at this location, we were really impressed with the friendly and efficient service, the quality of the food, the date night ambiance and the not too loud but fun music. I really enjoyed the meat in the smash burger and I am very picky with meat. The spa margarita was way too sour for my liking but the Anywhere IPA hit the spot! My husband got the $8 bloody mary which he enjoyed, said it was a good amount of vodka in it, he also got the pineapple tequila drink (forgot the name) and it was just ok, couldn't really taste the pineapple. Huge patio area with plenty of seating, a fire pit, & plenty of heaters. We've frequented Eureka at their Irvine & HB locations and it's always a good time. So far, we've been to this AV location 3x and have been satisfied with our visits. Great selection of cocktails and craft beer. I am a fan of their small plates & shareables. Our favorites are the Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower Bites, Mac & Cheese Balls, Truffle Parmesan Fries, and their wings. The wings are the best! Dry rub & very very crispy yet juicy on the inside. For entrees, the fish tacos are great. The double smash burger & the Fresno Fig burger are good. Grilled Chicken Nachos are okay. For salads, the Blackened Salmon Kale Ceasar & the Seared Ahi are what I recommend. Service has been okay. We've ordered drinks that were made wrong. Which they have graciously remade. Accidentally bit on a foreign object in our nachos. Found out it was the tip of the squeeze bottle they cut off. Manager came to our table, offered a new one, which we politely declined. So they just took it off our tab & gave us some gift cards for our next visit. Giving them grace since they're new. Overall, it's a good spot to hang out. read more
