Came here for the first time. Pretty good little spot here. Cobb salad was very good. As were the wings and the pickles. My fiancé got the pastrami and said it was good but bread should be toasted more. But all in all a good spot. Will definitely be back to try one of the burgers next time. This place is delicious! We got a regular cheeseburger and the southwest salad with chicken. We sat there and ate. There was no wait, and service was very fast. After we ordered we got our food in about 15 min. It was served very hot and fresh! The food quality is amazing! I didn't except such fresh and delicious ingredients so I was very pleased. Service was okay that day--I've been here many times and it could vary. Our waitress was not overly friendly, but at least courteous. It wasn't busy but it took some time to get attention. Our food was also an "okay"--I ordered the aged bone marrow burger, which was better than I expected. However, I requested medium-rare but the patty was definitely overcooked (it is more medium to well-done). Had there not been the fat from the bone marrow, it would not be desirable. (Last time I ordered bison and it was completely cooked..., so I guess this time was an improvement??) The rotating beer, 'She Shot First,' was surprising good. It was hoppy, but not bitter. Been a longtime fan of this location since I went to UCI for my bachelor's. The Food and ambiance have always been great, with really good happy hour deals and a very pleasant patio with waterfall fireplace. I got a 9 oz Pinot Noir for half priced wine Tuesdays, and the delicious Brussels sprouts, a delicious AND nutritious combination. I've spent a decent number of hours there as of late, doing work and enjoying the restaurant. All of the servers I've had have delivered very gracious and efficient service, and that includes everyone who has come by my table for any reason. Came to Eureka a few times and somehow keep getting Sarah. First time she was serving me and my friend Ethan. Came back with coworkers, now she's bartending. Came back again, she's still running everything. Not sure if she works every shift or just appears when needed. She recommended the protein bowl. Always love going to this place with my college roommates before a UCI basketball game because they had great burgers, they keep wife happy with her salmon and has a large enough variety that it keeps my roommate wives happy with their selection. Service has always been attentive, the patio is a nice area for lunch and/or dinner, and the food quality is up there with the price points. While the breakfast burrito is good for lunch, the burgers are a must here. Drink prices run a little high, but our group favors the espresso martini. I want to say the service was excellent and there were plenty of beers to choose from. The patio is nice except the umbrellas don't protect everyone from the sun my main complaint was there was no happy hour special for hors d' oeuvres that I was made aware of and the 4 we got were all rather small and the taste of the ingredients just didn't come together. This was the case in all 4 instances..I think they need to come up with better options or ingredients. I, for one, would have ordered a meal if I'd been impressed. read more

This place is a welcome respite to the fast food options at University Town Center off the UCI campus. Great indoor space and an even better outdoor setting with a modern fountain and ample umbrellas as well as space heater as needed to keep guests cozy and the conversation flowing. Service as usual was quick, friendly and constantly attentive. We had: nachos, the 28 day dry aged bone marrow burger with arugula salad, and the bratwurst beer dog. Both grilled items items were exceptionally prepared. We loved how fresh they tasted and savored the flavors. I have been here and in Eureka multiple times, late and during the day, and it has been great every single time. My go-to has been the bison burger and the Bone Marrow burger since both have such solid flavor. The bone marrow has an edge to it over the bison burger because of the bone marrow and how much flavor the bone marrow has. With a side of the potato fries that have the cinnamon paprika seasoning, it is phenomenal. I love the truffle fries as well, and the fries usually always have a great crunch to them, too. The Brussels sprouts and the Wings are always a go-to starter with any friend group we have, and they are always a big hit and gone in seconds. The wings and buffalo sauce are great and they don't mess up the classic either. The brussels sprouts are truly the best and honestly inspired our household to try and replicate them because of the glaze and bacon bits. its truly a game changer. Bison burger had a good combination of sweet charred red bell pepper and bacon-infused jalapeño jam (not too spicy despite the name). Bone marrow shiitake butter added an interesting taste twist to the meat. For sides, we had their Signature fries - tasty in a classical style and the arugula salad. Unpopular opinion, but honest!! Burgers, fries, and wings are overpriced. Everything on the burger except for the meat itself is under a dollar and it's not made in house. The fries are still relatively cheap potatoes also relatively cheap. So for what it is, it's overpriced. Still doesn't change the fact that I like Eureka. Just genuinely tired of companies, taking advantage of price points, but not considering really upgrading their food to something that can be better. I have a culinary degree.
