I've been to the Eureka! Location in LA and to this Fremont location a few times. I usually like to come to Eureka! And sit at the bar for late night happy hour. Their Mac & cheese balls are my favorite thing on the menu! I also really enjoy their chicken sandwich! Their drink options are great as well! I normally get the Wild Child which is fruity and refreshing. This time, I got the espresso martini and it was pretty standard The service is great, folks are friendly and all smiles. Sat at the bar as a solo diner. Everyone at the bar was real nice! They put in the dodgers for me. Ordered stack frites with bone marrow butter and a side of charred green beans. The steak was a perfect medium rare, and the bone marrow butter was a good addition. The fries were fine. The charred green beans were nothing to write home about. Bland and oily. I tasted the char and not much else. Not a great dish, in my opinion. Natalie was my server and even though they were busy, they took care of of me. Happy hour.. For some small bar bites, this place really hits the spot. Right next to El Cortez, it is an easy walk from anywhere on Fremont street. At 5 pm, there were not many people there in early Dec....we grabbed a table and ordered a few beers that were on special. I got an IPA and hub got a non alcohol beer he was into. We ordered the brussel sprouts, and Mac and cheese balls to start and we also ordered a smash burger to split. Bartender was amazing...brought our burger cut in two..nice touch. It's been two years (2023) since I raved about Eureka! I was able to make a stop two weeks ago (July 12th) while I was in Las Vegas. A huge shout out to the general manager, John, at the downtown location for accommodating my friends & I! Last time I was in Las Vegas it was to see Usher. This time it was to watch NBA Summer League live in action. The drinks that were tried amongst us all from order of favorite to least is Spa Day Margarita (10/10), Watermelon Hibiscus Spicy Agua Fresca (for my mocktail girlies) and Pineapple Tequila Sour (tart taste preference). The shareable wings were a major hit to our taste buds in the flavors orange chile glaze and Eureka! dry rub. In addition to our waiter, Draven, being attentive to detail such as providing four individual sauce cups of ranch dressing to accommodate our party. Full disclosure the Eureka! menu list has done a revamp! To substitute the Blackened Salmon Kale Caesar that's discontinued, I ordered the Caesar Salad with an add on of Blackened Salmon. The difference in taste were the lack of roasted pine nuts and kale but satisfaction still reign supreme! In my previous review, I mentioned the Bourbon Barrel Cake was shipped from New Orleans to Las Vegas. My description from two years ago hasn't changed! Unfortunately my girls & I couldn't finish the main attraction from the dessert menu because the nightlife for us just started. We didn't want to take a chance of an upset stomach with mixtures of alcohol. Came here on a Friday when our usual restaurants in the area had a long wait. Decided to sit at the bar and order a strawberry lychee martini and the fig burger which was INCREDIBLE. Our bartender was helpful in deciding what to order. I shared the Al pastor fish tacos with my bf and he ordered the loco moco. Everything was delicious and we ended with the bourbon barrel cake. Despite it being close to the end of the night, the bartender was super attentive--we never had to flag her down once, even though she was clearly trying to clean up and prep for close. The late night happy hour was a great surprise. We ordered the orange chili glaze wings, fried pickles, mac & cheese balls, spicy chicken sandwich, and an American burger. Eureka Discover American Craft is a casual American Restaurant and Bar on Fremont Street that is part of the El Cortez Hotel/Casino. It's kinda rich with wood inside. It's slightly dark but not too dark. They have a few TV's and classic rock music fills the air. We started out by trying the fried Mac-N-Cheese Balls. They came out pretty fast and were fried to perfection. They were a little different with a nice chili kick but did have a sort of Velveeta type taste to them. I tried the Al Pastor Fish Tacos. I got three maui maui street sized single shelled well packed tacos with arugula salad. The tomatillo sauce and fresh pineapple went especially well with the fish. Not fish house quality but this was really pretty good! My husband's BBQ Bacon burger was also pretty good. He enjoyed that they didn't over cook the bacon and he also liked that they were able to prepare a medium-rare burger. They did slightly burn the bun and our server did offer a replacement bun but my husband preferred to just remove the burnt end. Our sever was extra nice and efficient. He even pack up to go beverages without being asked. Worth a try if you are in the area. read more

What a great experience! I have been to Eureka countless times and haven't left a review for some reason. I took advantage of a great curated dinner to score some great variety out of the normal go to items on the menu. The food: each course was selected by the kitchen and paired with a featured Bottle Logic brewing beer. They did a great job complimenting, contrasting and also remaining balanced with the flavors in each course. The dorito crusted peppers were the crowd favorite and had us all looking for more. Drinks: The whiskey list here is one of the better and more fair priced in the city. The beer selection rotates regularly and features great in and out of market craft brews. It's always a go to for when people are looking for great craft beer or solid whiskey selection. The staff: the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to help out. Troy hosted the dinner and had a fun list of facts and info to share about each course of food as well as the beer. He kept the crowd entertained and had fun doing it. I found Eureka through Yelp, and the reviews and photos made it an enticing option. FOOD: There's plenty of variety on the menu for food and drinks! My family ordered a variety of entrées, and they seemed to enjoy what they ate. The Fish Tacos and Fish and Chips were a hit with the family. I ordered the Bison Burger, which was a favorite of our server. It had a big red chili that provided the spicy component. I requested the bison patty be cooked medium, and it was tender and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were okay. Some kind of maple syrup was added to the fries, which made them a bit too sweet for me. If you prefer the fries without the syrup, maybe request the fries without the syrup. SERVICE: Despite the size of our group, our server was great. She was kind and attentive and checked on us multiple times during our meal, ensuring we had everything we needed. The staff was overall excellent. AMBIANCE: We went for a late dinner and were fortunate to get seated for a large group. Downtown Las Vegas (Fremont Street) is generally loud at night, with plenty of ambiant music and night-goers walking by. The dining area was comfortable and dark, with plenty of mood lighting and TVs around the bar. Maybe lunch or daytime dining will have a quieter atmosphere if that's your jam. Mac and cheese bites were good and the pretzel bites with cheese were good, but you only get 7 very small bites for $13 and I didn't think it was worth the money. It is a block away from the Fremont experience, and would be four or five stars with better service. Walked right in on Valentine's Day for lunch. Nice and open ambiance, craft hipster decor, very clean. Staff very friendly. I'm knocking a star only because it took 45 minutes for our order to come out (restaurant about 1/3 full, so maybe BOH was understaffed or something. Not sure. We had to go back to the parking lot to buy more time because our food hadn't arrived. But the food was fantastic. Partner had the burger, I had the protein bowl. As a vegetarian it was one of the best things I've eaten and I'm glad we have a Eureka in my home county. It was good enough I'll go back and give a second chance despite this slow service. My friend had some resort credits with El Cortez so we decided to go to Eureka. He had been before but I hadn't. The restaurant was very busy for 8:30 PM on a Wednesday night until we realized it was the CES Convention crowd. We were seated immediately though as there was 1 table open for the 3 of us. The restaurants lighting was fairly dark until we sat down, then our table has a spotlight on it. Since my friend had already been before, I took his suggestion of having a burger.
