My family and I were walking down Fremont Street and wanted to get dinner somewhere other than hotel restaurants that offered cheap eats. I found Eureka through Yelp, and the reviews and photos made it an enticing option. FOOD: There's plenty of variety on the menu for food and drinks! My family ordered a variety of entrées, and they seemed to enjoy what they ate. The Fish Tacos and Fish and Chips were a hit with the family. I ordered the Bison Burger, which was a favorite of our server. It had a big red chili that provided the spicy component. I requested the bison patty be cooked medium, and it was tender and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were okay. Some kind of maple syrup was added to the fries, which made them a bit too sweet for me. If you prefer the fries without the syrup, maybe request the fries without the syrup. SERVICE: Despite the size of our group, our server was great. She was kind and attentive and checked on us multiple times during our meal, ensuring we had everything we needed. The staff was overall excellent. AMBIANCE: We went for a late dinner and were fortunate to get seated for a large group. Downtown Las Vegas (Fremont Street) is generally loud at night, with plenty of ambiant music and night-goers walking by. The dining area was comfortable and dark, with plenty of mood lighting and TVs around the bar. Maybe lunch or daytime dining will have a quieter atmosphere if that's your jam. What a great experience! I have been to Eureka countless times and haven't left a review for some reason. I took advantage of a great curated dinner to score some great variety out of the normal go to items on the menu. The food: each course was selected by the kitchen and paired with a featured Bottle Logic brewing beer. They did a great job complimenting, contrasting and also remaining balanced with the flavors in each course. The dorito crusted peppers were the crowd favorite and had us all looking for more. Drinks: The whiskey list here is one of the better and more fair priced in the city. The beer selection rotates regularly and features great in and out of market craft brews. It's always a go to for when people are looking for great craft beer or solid whiskey selection. The staff: the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to help out. Troy hosted the dinner and had a fun list of facts and info to share about each course of food as well as the beer. He kept the crowd entertained and had fun doing it. I've been here over 10 times. For about 3 of those visits, I've sat at a table. The times that I've been at a table have not been during busy times. Yet, the servers will hardly check on you and wait times to be served have been long. During our last visit, we were seated and sat there for over 10 minutes; never acknowledged. A server passed by multiple times. In fact, a couple of guys were seated next to us and were immediately acknowledged. That felt awful. I often give the benefit of the doubt, but..c'mon.. We should've just left after that, but ended up sitting at the bar and, of course, were acknowledged immediately. Luckily she made it a better experience. Almost all my experiences at the bar have been great. Food is good. The unfortunate visits have been in the actual dinning seating area. Maybe they need more severs? Or employees with better awareness. It's unfortunate because the bad experiences often overshadow the good. read more

I've been to a couple of different Eureka! 's. Unfortunately, the service at this one was incredibly slow. It is a block away from the Fremont experience, and would be four or five stars with better service. My favorite dishes at Eureka : - fried pickles - wings - they have crispy skin, meaty and well flavored - jalapeño egg burger - the sweet potato fries are a must get with a burger or just as a side dish. Our waiter was great. Iced tea was really nice. Mimosa flights were good and a great deal. Napa chicken sandwich was delish and I must note... not skimpy in the chicken which I liked. Mac and cheese bites were good and the pretzel bites with cheese were good, but you only get 7 very small bites for $13 and I didn't think it was worth the money. Not that big, but anyone can definitely have good time, specially listening to the live performance. Listening to live acoustic performance while eating was a wonderful idea. The service is great and the food as well. You do jot need to make a reservation. As a huge fries fan I will say the fries were perfectly satisfying! My friend had some resort credits with El Cortez so we decided to go to Eureka. He had been before but I hadn't. The restaurant was very busy for 8:30 PM on a Wednesday night until we realized it was the CES Convention crowd. We were seated immediately though as there was 1 table open for the 3 of us. The restaurants lighting was fairly dark until we sat down, then our table has a spotlight on it. Since my friend had already been before, I took his suggestion of having a burger. I got the American, added a fried egg, with truffle fries and Chipotle for a dip. My friends ordered the Mac and Cheese balls. I tried one and it was pretty good. My burger was cooked perfectly but the egg yolk had already leaked out prior to making it to the table to my bottom bun was already covered in or. The fries were hot. As I was traveling back to the Four Queens on Fremont, my Lyft driver was telling me about Eureka! and how good the hamburger was. Already haven eaten at In-n-out which I love BTW, I really didn't want another burger. But he said he drives all the way across town to eat at Eureka! and he makes a day of it. OK Here we go.... I walk down Fremont street, see the various performers, the crazy people yelling, the people that look like they want to ask you something to rip you off, the guys pulling fake AirPods 2 out of their jacket "no thank you, I got them already", the people jaywalking. I passed by Heart Attack Grill where Bead meets food got a spanking.... etc... etc... Finally I get to Eureka! It's a dark, trendy looking place with country music. The guy sounds good and he uses a looper sparingly. Kudos for having live music. My Lyft guy said their Eureka American Cheeseburger and truffles is the one so I ordered it along with an old fashioned. The burger was very good! The truffle fries were delicious and the old fashioned was one of the better ones. I don't know if this is the BEST burger in Vegas but it was good. The burger itself was cooked perfectly and it was nice and thick. I did enjoy this burger and the place, but now I wish I had read Rod U's review and tried the bone marrow burger. Walked right in on Valentine's Day for lunch. Nice and open ambiance, craft hipster decor, very clean. Staff very friendly. I'm knocking a star only because it took 45 minutes for our order to come out (restaurant about 1/3 full, so maybe BOH was understaffed or something. Not sure. We had to go back to the parking lot to buy more time because our food hadn't arrived. But the food was fantastic. Partner had the burger, I had the protein bowl. As a vegetarian it was one of the best things I've eaten and I'm glad we have a Eureka in my home county. It was good enough I'll go back and give a second chance despite this slow service. Came here with some co-workers after work to grab weekday dinner. We parked at a paid parking structure close by (entrance on 4th street). We were seated immediately by the friendly host, who also promptly brought over glasses and a pitcher of ice water for the table while we looked over the menu. My colleagues had been to a different Eureka! location in California and had high praise for their burgers, so I went with the double smash burger (caramelized smash shallots, American cheese, pickles, chipotle sauce, $18.75) which comes with choice of fries or salad. The burger was delicious -- the patty was tasty and juicy, the buns were toasted perfectly, and the chipotle sauce added a twist of flavor. I thought the fries were average and a bit bland, so I would consider upgrading them to truffle fries next time. The service was excellent, and the ambience was nice as well. There is an outdoor patio section if you want to be seated right by all the foot traffic on Fremont Street. They had all the front windows/walls open so even from our booth in the back, we could still hear and enjoy the sights and sounds of Fremont Street (for better or worse, lol). We went to the location in Henderson on St Rose Pkwy. The patio area is a great area to eat with friends They have misters to make it much more comfortable. After sunset or in the evening are the best time for patio dining in the summer The water fountain is a nice touch! I want to take my BFF to the location in Las Vegas. They use a flavorful cheese that goes well with the avocado and pico de gallo. The sauce adds spice to this dish. My order is always on time and the servers are always friendly. This is a great spot because the space is casual, we've had dinner with family and our kids here! But this time we were out on a date night and excited to have dinner at the bar. They have a couple of big TV's at the bar, so this is also a perfect place to watch some sports! The service was great and everything we ordered came out in a timely fashion. We ordered "the floor is lava" and "pineapple tequila sour" cocktails. Both were good, but I really enjoyed the spicy smokiness of the lava one. We chose a few apps to share. The brussel sprouts in an Asian sauce were delicious. We ordered the wings with the dry rub (which the bartender said was the best) and also asked for a side of the buffalo sauce. The wings were cooked to perfection. They were nice and crispy, without being overdone. For our third choice we went with the Mac and cheese balls. I think this place has some of the best Mac and cheese bites in Vegas. For an entree we shared the pulled pork sandwich. It was very pickle-heavy, but that was a huge bonus for me! lol. The only complaint I'd have is the sandwich was really difficult to pick up and eat without the whole thing falling apart. We think it had a lot to do with how they cut it diagonally.
