As a regular, I gotta say this place can be such a nice vibe especially as spot inside the mall. I love coming here for a feel key menu items - the cimmichurri Brussels Sprouts, the beet veggie burger (I ask for extra special sauce on the side) and the bourbon barrel cake. I have also got to make special mention of their steak salad! My favorite thing to do here for drinks is to enquire about their famers' market special for the month. It is always so delicious and made with fresh ingredients and you are always able to customize. The service is overall very good except for some days at the bar when it has been full, I have hard parts of my order forgotten but they correct it when it happens. The hype is so real! Such a well designed spot. Extremely clean and pleasantly decored. Good selection of craft beer, wine, spirits and food. Indoor and outdoor seating. There was live music on a Thursday night. Puppy water and treats outside!! I had the Cowboy burger "Naked" style, which meant a substitution of the bread for a bed of arugula and a lemon vingarette. Very disappointing. We started out great. We were seated quickly, but I should have listened to my gut when I heard the manager talking to an employee on the telephone who was calling in sick. This was my first indication that they didn't have enough help. We started out with chips with queso and guacamole. It hit the spot. My burger was tasty, but I feel it could have used more. Something else besides just the egg and bacon. Tasted plain. As we were eating we noticed the vast number of tables that weren't bussed. It really sounds weird, but after a long time of not being bussed, it makes for a strange, uncared for atmosphere. Then we asked for a soda refill and water. Took about 15 minutes. And we had to ask twice. I'd probably go again because I know it's difficult to hire right now and easy to be short staffed. And they were at the time I was there. read more

Came to this location for a quick birthday lunch last weekend with my husband and best friend and dog. They are dog friendly so that's lovely and we did get seated outside right away. Our table didn't seam to be cleaned up very well and was pretty sticky and I saw the other dogs seemed to have bowls of water for them but my dog wasn't offered that and by the time we thought to ask when we had our meal we never saw our server again till we asked someone else to track him down cause we had been done eating and wanting our check. Never got refills, couldn't have asked for any sides of anything if we wanted it cause he disappeared. The food here is usually pretty standard I do love the Mac and cheese balls. The Brussels were pretty bland, they need more ingredients I think. The chicken nachos seemed really cold by the time we got them like they had been sitting there maybe and the chips were stale. Truffle fries are good as well. It's good for a quick bite but I feel like every time I eat here a lot of it is pretty hit or miss. read more

Very disappointing this time. Waited at our table for 15 minutes until I had to go find a server. Three tables were occupied in the establishment.. the hostess ended up taking our order. I ordered the standard American burger... the beef tasted burnt even though I ordered it medium. This is a sign of a dirty grill. All the char and burned fat from the day deposited on the patty. Id complain but the server Bailey never came back. I muscled it down because I was starving... Disgusting and unimpressive. My last time going here. We stopped for lunch last Saturday. The waitress was very nice. Two of us ordered Asian Chicken Salad. Although there are many versions of Asian Chicken Salad, this one was a real surprise! Search through the bowl and yet, there was no chicken in either salad!?!? The bowl contained chopped romaine, two scrawny pieces of Manderin oranges. And not sure of the taste of this Asian dressing dressing. But where's the Chicken?????? We waited twenty minutes, we could not find our waitress. Finally my son went into the kitchen to round up someone to help. The wait staff came and said the chicken was on the bottom of the bowl. We lifted the romaine, which we already tossed before he arrived, and no chicken! He took the bowls, and came back fifteen minutes later with a fresh bowl. These bowls contained minuscule cubed chicken and no orange. Doubt I will recommend or return to Eureka. it does NOT live up to the definition of its name. read more

What an excellent experience! I went here with my Meetup group at the last minute after discovering that our original venue was closed. We had a fantastic experience. In all honesty, I was concerned about bringing a group of Black people to a place as homogeneous as La Jolla. Sometimes our group is made to fee unwelcome. Indeed, we were the only Black people that I saw in the entire mall, but my concerns were unfounded. Everyone was very nice. The food was fantastic (definitely best if you like burgers). This location is inside the UTC mall. Food is really good but the menu has changed a bit and we were missing some of the old go to's such as the sliders. Burgers are still really good though and we love their Mac and cheese balls as well as their sweet potato fries which have a drizzle of honey on them! Their truffle fries are DELICIOUS and one of my favorite sides!! The steak salad could use a little more steak but it was tasty. We tried the cauliflower appetizer but was unfortunately disappointed with how VERY small portion was and it just had no flavor at all despite the sauce it's in. Eureka! was another restaurant recommended by my secretary---she had dined there with an ex-boyfriend and he was a fan of the hamburgers. The location in UTC Mall is convenient after a visit to the 24 Hour Fitness, which is located in the same Mall [but I will avoid this area now until after Christmas because of the crowds]. The shopping center's massive new parking structure is up and running, and I see they will soon be charging for parking, so there will be the hassle of obtaining a validation every time you pay a visit. There was a pleasant and smiling male host/manager who greeted me at Eureka! when I walked in on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., and he promptly seated me. However, after being seated, service was non-existent because the main crew comes on at 5:00 p.m., and the one waitress on duty could simply not handle the room at all. Happily, the male host intervened and brought me the glass of Duckhorn Vineyard Chardonnay Napa Valley [Tuesday is 50% off wine day, so this $14.00 glass was priced at $7.00, which was a plus, although the tiny pour was miserly]. There is good music on the soundtrack. For dinner, I ordered the Bison Burger, charbroiled medium rare, with bacon-infused Jalapeño Jam, tri-color peppers, grilled red onion and "smashed" mozzarella. I enjoyed it, along with the French Fries. The hamburger married well with a Hitching Post Cork Dancer Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County. A new manager came on duty, named "Chelsea", and we chatted about the service glitches I had experienced on entering the restaurant. I was also able to order an Irish Coffee, but again, there was no whipped cream to be found. Chelsea mentioned the restaurant had a peanut butter infused cream they use on a dessert. Although I do not like the taste of peanut butter, I asked that it be served atop the Irish Coffee, and it wasn't too horrible [and, of course, it was my own fault for ordering it---I do not blame the restaurant for that at all]---other than not having whipped cream at all when it purports to be a restaurant offering a "full bar". read more

Best "Buffalo" Firecracker Wings! Awesome atmosphere, friendly and prompt servers, wide selection of beers (IPA's) and cocktails. Our table shared the cheeseburger, truffle fries, side salads, and wings. Five star goodness all around. This place reminded me of an upscale Yardhouse restaraunt. And the winds, unlike any other. Our group of 8 people + my dog came in for a late night meal on a Wednesday night. There weren't many other customers at the time and we practically had the whole outside patio to ourselves. Great atmosphere outside and not to cold with the outdoor heating system! Our waiter, Kevin, was awesome. He was so sweet to my dog, Theo, and gave him a full bowl of water and treats! Kevin was very attentive to our needs and we never had to ask for anything twice. He even split the check 4 different ways, which was above and beyond.
