This restaurant was awesome! This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area/Kapolei area. The food was on point, but the service was beyond expectations. They have the nicest, well mannered employees that I've ever encountered at a Chinese restaurant. Decided to come and eat lunch I wanted to eat soft won ton mein gravy style and husband wanted lemon chicken. The soft won ton mein was good but a little disappointed with the lemon chicken. Felt like eating Chinese food on Christmas - I know, weird huh? I was in the Ewa area And I seen a Chinese restaurant from ft. weaver road - as always you can always count on Chinese to be open on major holidays!!! Restaurant was busy, not too many places were open so of course options were limited. The workers there are not very nice but they are attentive. I ordered a "dinner plate" which consisted of Crispy Won Tom, Gau gee, sweet & sour spareribs, chicken chow mein, & friend rice. Portions were good, food was mediocre, and service was ah.... so - so I prolly won't ever be in a rush to go back but if options are limited I'd def go. read more

When it comes to Chinese cuisine though, the style is catered more towards family oriented visit but we were craving Chinese and since this location is near the house.. why not ?? Walking in we were greeted by the staff. Seems like there really is only 2 employees working foh. They are really nice & attentive and drinks came out soon as we sat down. As per traditional Chinese dining experience .. tes is brought out in a big metal kettle. The tea here is good, I love tea where the fragments sometimes spew out into the cup. Gives the tea a bit more kick. We went with a few classics. Mongolian beef and orange chicken. To my surprise, the Mongolian beef was infested with onions.. YUM. I wish it was a bit more spicy but the flavor was spot on. Orange chicken was crispy and had the right amount of tang. I wanted to order more but being that it was only the 2 of us there's no way we could have stomached another 2-3 more dishes. Over all the food here is delishhhh and the price is right. You can never go wrong with Chinese food! This place is just like any other chinese restaurant in the area, but close to my neighborhood and convenient. I always place a phone order. Since dine in has been allowed, they are always packed so phone order always works for me. Also, even though I place a phone order, sadly even when I arrive at the restaurant, I'm still waiting for about 5-10 more minutes, which includes already paying for the food. Staff is friendly, restaurant is clean, but they do have to improve on managing their time and getting their food out efficiently. Maybe their just getting used to the rush of people dining in again. I love to order the Minute Chicken with cake noodle, sauce and the veggies on the side, while my husband loves to order either the Crispy Gau Gee w/cake noodle, or the Beef w/Ong Choy, and Shrimp Ala Canton. Down from last time. They were more occupied by the graduation party. Cake noodles was hard. Service was slow to nonexistent. As ALWAYS, Scallop. Soup was thick and plenty scallops. And the major plus is the food stayed hot-warm through the entire meal. Too bad the Cake noodles and Service was up to normal standards. Lost points there. And I thought that business that uses "Yelp" are the individuals that post their business here. OH.... OK. So, I'm just letting others who might not know, like myself that, what's posted on YELP for this business is not their doing so, the prices on Yelp, don't reflect what they will charge you! Good value if you like getting a variety of food! Although you might need to be in a certain mood to really enjoy some of their menu. The plates are generous sizes and can be very tasty! However you probably need to be ready for heavy food that can be greasy or covered in gravy. The customer service is a strong point and the restaurant has a nice clean feel to it! It might not be for everyone all of the time but if you want some good value this place is good to go to! read more

The food had a smell and taste about it like it was spoiled. Now you can't tell at first, but once you bite into the shrimp canton this smell hits the air and the taste... I'm not sure if the batter is supposed to taste that way or if it is spoiled/old batter. The sauce was good but it does not mask the taste or smell. The chow fun had the same smell and a weird taste about it. The fried rice was very bland. You can't taste anything. When you look at it, you think you're gonna taste whatever made it brown, but it's just not there. The soup was okay. No smell or bad taste. For the 4 items, it was a little over $65. I've got Peking Duck from here before and it was good. Today was another story. This was a takeout order. First, it was packaged terrible. The box with the duck in it broke from the bottom and the entire bag was filled with meat juice. Then I open the box and see a bunch of bones with a bit of meat. There wasn't much skin, and the pieces I thought were meat were gristly and inedible. It looked like they had a picked away duck in the back and just chopped that up and put it in the box. Also the green onions were nearly dehydrated. Nothing about this food seemed fresh. There's too many Chinese restaurants around to try again. Not worth the money! read more

I've been here a few times now. It's not the greatest Chinese food I've had but it's really not that bad either. Because it's in a small center where Pinoy Grill and Royal Thai Garden is located, parking is not too bad and easily got. Some times it does get busy because of a holiday or some major event happening in the area. We were greeted immediately and sat down with menus passed out. Glassed of water were brought to us without asking who wanted water. That's a plus there. The wait staff is wonderful here always making sure our glasses are full and the hot tea is replenished when needed. Today, i came for watercress soup. My dad order this one time and it was wonderful. I wanted it again but they were out of watercress. The wait person said due to the rain it is difficult to get watercress at this time. Shucks. So, in place of that I tried the Hot Sour soup. We also ordered Beef with black bean sauce, Tofu Seafood soup, crispy fried chicken. The hot sour soup didn't seem to have the egg drop in it like I am use to getting from other places. Nor was it spicy enough but it was definitely hot. I'm not sure what they're using for a thickener but I don't think I am a fan. I like mine to have that spicy peppery taste and this did not have it. The seafood in the Tofu Seafood soup were in small bites that I couldn't taste what was what. I think the larger chunks are best atleast I know what I am eating. Now, the crispy chicken was spot on. A little more salty than I would like but eat it with the rice. The beef with black bean sauce was okay. Wish they would cook the vegetables a little more to soften them up so mom could eat them too. Tasty dish too. Everything may not be perfect but the food is nice and I can be forgiving as most of this is a matter of preference. Customer service is great especially with mom. Food Safety - Ewa Pointe Chinese Restaurant. Eat at your own risk. Apparently not much has changed since 2019 when I last went out of my way to notify the Department of Health about the unsanitary practices at this restaurant. I was told that, They talked to them but no one there at the time spoke much English so they weren't sure how much they really understood. I thought that was the whole point of the Food Safety Program and placard system, to make sure establishments serving food understood and followed the food safety guidelines/codes. If they don't/can't then red card them until they do, so it is safe for the customers. Now I feel compelled to warn my neighbors and community before someone gets really sick or worse. If they really cared about their customers, ie you who dine there, they wouldn't put your health at risk like this. It's difficult to tell from the photos because my phone focused on the door vs what was on the other side but the back two tubs of raw meat (1 chicken, 1 beef) are completely uncovered (no plastic over it) and sitting there to thaw on the floor just a few feet away from the back door. It's a standard (rusty) security door with big holes and gaps around it for insect, etc., to crawl/fly right in and help themselves to a snack. It's not uncommon to see them air drying their kitchen towels/rags and aprons simply by draping them over the pipes or bushes behind the restaurant as well, the same towels I assume they wipe the counters down with and then prepare food on. As you can see in that photo from 2019 they sometimes happen to fall on the sidewalk with all the bird poo. I definitely wouldn't be giving them a green placard nor will I ever be eating there but it's your body, your choice. read more

I'm not a picky eater, so it pains me greatly to write a negative review about a restaurant's food. However, if I find myself spending $19 and can only bring myself to take a few bites and then throw an entire container of food away, you can bet I will let others know. The chicken was rubbery and not spicy at all as indicated on the menu. It also had some grizzle which is never fun to chew. The spring rolls were very greasy and taste a bit fishy. On the positive side, the restaurant was very clean and had nice table settings. The woman who took my order was pleasant. My food was ready in ten minutes and was piping hot. The portion sizes are very large. Despite this, I won't be returning due to the poor quality and taste of the food. read more
