Do not use these guys they are awful and over charge I hired them to move things within my home I paid cash for 3 hours of service for 1 and half hours work they then charged my credit card for an additional $340.00. The guys at Express Moving are amazing. My move would have been an absolute disaster without them. I moved from a 2 bedroom condo to a house. This move should have taken only 6 or 7 hours total, but the HOA at my condo threw every sort of wrench you could think of, at the Express Moving guys. Yet they handled it with professionalism and courtesy. Even with four men, moving with speed that makes me tired just thinking about it, it still took almost 7 hours to move out of the condo and then another 3.5 - 4 to move into the new house. It was well past dark when they finished setting up my furniture (yes, even with the added hours, they stayed to set up all my furniture). To top it all off, at the end of the night, Mark showed me my contract and he agreed to stick with this earlier quoted price, even though they'd worked well past the timeline we had agreed on before my HOA interfered. After all their hard work, I wouldn't' imagine only paying what he had quoted earlier, so I wrote the check for what they really deserved. They are fair, professional, expert movers. Not one piece of furniture was damaged in anyway, and I was able to sleep in my new house that very night, even with all the speed bumps. First off, I want to warn you. All of their 5 star reviews, are bought and paid for. Or friends trying to make the business look better. Because if you've ever really used this company, you wouldn't rate 5 stars. We had a 700sq ft 2 bedroom. We were quoted 4-5 hours with two movers. Seems reasonable, since we didn't have much and the new apartment was only 10 minutes away, It took 9-10 hours. They broke our desk, some dishes and laid down a 55" plasma television. Our television ended up with blue lines. Awesome. They took their time. They even left for a hour lunch. With our stuff. Without telling us. My girlfriend ended up writing a review about them on their facebook page. Wow, do they like to fight back. There is no true customer service here. It's almost like a collage frat that moves you stuff. Seriously, no matter how much they quote you, find someone new. *As a rebuttal, I was never offered insurance. Second, our so called "friend" Jen, is a tweeker hooked on crystal meth. You shouldn't take the words of a drug addict who probably ended up having sexual affairs with one or both of your movers. I used express movers a few times, once for a full move and three more times for furniture deliveries from various stores. The guys were very detailed or iented and quick they delivered the furniture assembled it and placed it all how my wife and I wanted. The guys went through all our options with wrapping and packing and offered various options to have our belongings insured while in transit (above basic minimum insurance) Over all it was a pleasant experience to work with this company and we definitely will recommend them to all of our friends. read more

Mark and his crew of very kind and highly motivated movers helped me move to a new building in my complex and up two floors of stairs a couple weeks ago. Communication and service were excellent. I got his name from a neighbor who also had a great experience. I too passed his name on to a colleague who was very happy with the service as well. They took great care in wrapping and carefully guiding my belongings up the stairwell. This was the first experience I've had with movers. I figured it was a small price to pay to free my friends from helping out with yet another move. The movers showed up 1.5 hours late. When they arrived, they insisted on me paying cash even though I was told cash or check was acceptable over the phone when I booked the appointment. The movers themselves were some of the smallest guys I've seen! They took their time and was sure to use up pretty much all of the 3 hour minimum. I caught one of them texting/checking his phone at least twice on my time. One of them was cold and unfriendly. The other one just didn't speak a word of English (Russian, I think). I'll give the whole moving service another try but I will avoid Express Moving and you should too. read more

Outstanding customer service! I called at 6:00pm on a Saturday night because our original moving company never showed up and we were in a bind. The owner, Mark, answered my call immediately. Although he couldn't fit my move in for the next day, he did send me a text with the names and numbers to two other companies that might be able to help. We requested 4 movers and only 3 were provided to move a five bedroom home of 2900 sq ft. We requested 100 pads to move everything and they only came with 50 moving pads. They damaged the walls of both houses, the one we moved from and the one we moved into. Also, the kitchen floor of the old house was damaged as well. Some furniture was damaged due to not having enough moving pads. Mark Rybikov who is the owner of Movers Express, has refused to pay for damages done to the homes as well as pay for damaged furniture done by the movers. Mark and his team at Express Moving are excellent!! I have utilized their packing, wrapping, unwrapping, arranging, storage unit organizing, home moving and set up services numerous times over the last 5 years: four times for myself and one for my handicap mother. I cannot say every item has been perfect when we reached the next location, but I am a realist and know that unless I personally hand carry every item to my next locale, the reality is 'stuff happens' when in transition. I used express moving during a very difficult time and they were great. They charged a lot less and their minimum amount of hours was less than other companies. They arrived on time, were friendly, and respectful, and worked hard to make sure they didn't go over the agreed upon time frame. They managed to fit everything into the storage unit to ensure that if fit and nothing would be damaged. I called them again, to move me into my new place and out of storage, and again, they did a great job. Once again, they were on time, polite, and efficient. I used the Express movers service yesterday after seeing thr review on Yelp. Their was a slight delay but Mark make up for the delay by adding additional guys for the move... These guys worked non stop for 3+ hrs and were super fast. The furniture was packed nicely and all my furniture items were moved in record time and without a single scratch. Needless to say.. As if moving isn't painful as it is...I had an emergency situation in which I had to move on short notice while I was out of town. My Dad was able to arrange Express Movers to come do the job! I booked Express Moving at the last minute and they were able to accommodate for same-day move. I spoke with Mark. Very nice guy. When Mark and Jacob arrived to do the move I ran into a problem that delayed the move. The problem was my fault, not theirs. But here is the interesting part, Mark actually solved the problem and we were able to get the move started. He didn't have to do that, but he did. Mark and Jacob did a great job with the move and they were fast that we finished ahead of schedule, even with the delay I had. I booked a 330 move and got a call that they would be late, which is fine. Then another call saying they would be later,again fine but they said they would be there by 5. All their phones were dead so I couldn't get in touch with anyone. I assumed they were not going to show up at all. They showed up shortly after six and we just decided to cancel. Outstanding experience with a local move this past Saturday. I was 100% satisfied with every aspect of my move. Mark arrived on time with seven additional polite, clean cut, hard-working guys. All of them were exceptionally careful with my belongings, pleasant to my family, and willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. They arranged and rearranged my furniture at my request and are coming back after I unpack to recycle all of my boxes at no additional charge. I received quotes from several companies through Thumbtack for a recent move, and Express Movers offered the best deal. I coordinated with Mark, the general manager, and he recognized right away that we wanted to do this in the most cost-effective way possible. We wanted them to focus on the big items and keep it close to the 3-hour minimum. To save money we planned to just move the little stuff on our own. We have a lot of stuff. Plus, we have 2 little boys, pets galore, and both places had tricky logistics for getting things in and out (stairs, narrow doors, etc.). This move was a huge undertaking in every way. Manny and Marco were very courteous and careful, and they boogied! They got there right on time, and they didn't start charging us until they had the truck in place and the first load out the door. They got everything moved that we had hoped they would, and in almost exactly 3 hours. We were left with just a few easy minivan trips, and we're now happily enjoying our new home. Side note- our friends also recently moved and hired those guys outside of Home Depot to help them, and their experience was NOT good. Apparently there was a lot of bickering and dropping/banging things (and possibly sneaky drug use) going on. I'm relieved we hired professionals! read more

Mark's comments could not be more false. 300 yards is three football fields. This was a move from the front door of my building to the closest curb. If it was 30 yards I would be shocked. I also received emails from him threatening a defamation lawsuit because I chose to share my experience on sites like Yelp. I used Express Moving for our relocation from National City to Otay Ranch. The rates were reasonable and Mark explained all the details clearly so I decided to give them a chance. I called to confirm 2 days prior to the move and Mark assured me we were all set with 3 movers and a truck scheduled for 8AM. On moving day, I placed my first call to Mark at 8:15 because the movers were late. By the second call for no movers at 8:40, I was upset!! Mark calmed me down and we agreed to have a good day. The movers finally showed just before 9AM and they worked extremely hard. I couldn't have been more pleased. For a 3 bedroom home, our crew disassembled, loaded, transported, unloaded and reassembled all furniture in our new home in under 4 hours. Amazing! It was definitely money well spent. We reserved express moving a couple weeks in advance. I only wanted the movers, not a truck or anything. I thought I'd need them for 3 hours. The morning of they showed up right on time. We had 2 movers Shawn and Arthur. They were ready to work and told us it would probably take longer than 3 hours. They worked really hard, running back and forth from the truck. Took over what I expected but not for their lack of trying. Both were great guys who seemed to genuinely care. Don't trust a word they say, the moved me and promised to give me a percentage of the move as finders fee if I recommended my friends. My friends used them for a 8hr. move and Mark promised to send me the finders fee, at one point Mark the owner said he sent me the check, said he was sorry I didn't get and even said he would bring it by to my house, of course he never did. I was satisfied with our experience. The guys were on-time, friendly and did a great job protecting our possessions. We anticipated the move to go a little quicker, with an initial estimate for 3 hours and it took just a little over 5. They guys could have been a little quicker loading, but that may just be my personal work ethic clouding my judgement.
