This was my second time coming to this FedEx Ship Center and it's quickly becoming my go‑to spot. The parking is easy, the entrance is simple to navigate, and both times someone was already at the counter ready to help. That alone makes a huge difference. What really stands out is the staff. They're friendly, helpful, and they actually smile. I never felt like I was interrupting them or pulling them away from something more important. It's a completely different vibe from the FedEx store where you can hear employees talking about who is going to help the customers up front. Here, you walk in and you're taken care of right away. Their delivery try is are no longer parked in customer spaces and looks like that they have also figured out a way to stop no -customers from parking in the lot. Well done FedEx! Service 5: I have noticed that different FedEx locations exhibit different levels of customer service. Perhaps management and employee dependent? I've gone a couple times to this location and it's okay. First time, computer/scanners were down for a bit ...so took a bit of time to get at least one register working again. Second time, there was only 1 person helping everyone and well, the guy in front of me couldn't decide if he wanted his package shipped for the quoted price. Subject: Formal Complaint Against FedEx Facility at 2130 Vanowen St - Dishonest Staff, Falsified Delivery Attempts, and Supervisor Deception Since 2015 To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting a formal and serious complaint regarding the long-standing and unacceptable behavior of the staff at the FedEx facility located at 2130 Vanowen St. I have been living in this area and using this location since 2015, and over the past ten years I have experienced constant neglect, dishonesty, and what I believe to be deliberate mistreatment by the staff at this branch. I work from home and am physically present in my apartment during all delivery hours. Despite this, FedEx repeatedly marks packages as "delivery attempted -- recipient not home," which is completely false. No one ever knocks or rings my bell. In fact, in the earlier years (2015-2018), they did not even leave a notice -- just updated the tracking status with a false delivery attempt and left me guessing. After repeated verbal complaints, they changed tactics: now they do leave notices, but instead of placing them on my apartment door as required, they tape them to the mailbox area downstairs, which is not visible from my apartment. Often, these notices lack crucial information: no contact number, no delivery details, no name of the delivery person, and no instructions. I must track the package myself and visit the facility to get any answers -- and even then, I get none. What makes the situation worse is the behavior of the front desk staff when I try to speak to a supervisor. Every time I ask, they say the supervisor is on break, out of the building, or too busy. When I insist on waiting, they make me wait for 45 minutes to over an hour. Eventually, someone comes out and pretends to be the supervisor -- a different person every time. Here are two specific examples of deception:     *    A staff member named Juan, who previously introduced himself to me as the supervisor when another employee (Janet) called him out, denied being the supervisor on a later visit. When I asked him to call the real supervisor, he told me the person was on lunch.     *    After I insisted on waiting, a young man named Adam, no older than 23-24, came out and stated, without hesitation, "Yes, I am the supervisor. What's your issue?" It was painfully clear he was not. I believe they rotate staff members to pose as "supervisors" to avoid complaints reaching the right people. This is not just incompetence -- this is systemic deception and avoidance of accountability. I have been dealing with this facility for nearly a decade, and nothing has changed. The staff continue to disrespect customers, falsify delivery attempts, and lie to cover for one another. I demand a full investigation into the operations and staff conduct at this location. Their behavior undermines public trust in FedEx and violates the basic expectations of transparency and reliability. I use FedEx often to ship uniforms overnight and they usually do a good job. This time I paid around $130 to send a 17lb box to Bakersfield, but it ended up in a completely different state and my employee only received an envelope. When I went in to fix the issue, the heavy set woman at the counter was rude and dismissive, telling me to just call customer service. I asked to speak with a manager and she snapped that I had an "attitude." I waited 30 minutes before anyone helped me. Really disappointing experience, they took zero accountability for their mistake and offers no resolution. I will be definitely using a different courier service from now on. Called their customer service line and they were equally incompetent. My package with expensive uniforms was completely lost. They advised to file a claim online to refund me and that was denied because my package did not have "signature required". FedEx is an absolute joke. read more

This place is Holly-Molly Big BS Already 5 years this FedEx Center not delivered properly the packages to me (I think that the same happened with other customers). So, they'll not deliver packages to apartment and their carriers just put on the "Door Tag" to the mail box in the hallway on our building and EVERY TIME told that no one in the apartment - they are lied because I worked in home and I'm in my appointment 24/7 by 365 days a year. In addition, it's happened already 5 years, and I try to solve this issue politely, but representative on the front desk lied me that they will be speak with carrier ...NOTHING changes already 5 years!!! I already spoke with Mr.Jacki (Manager), with Mrs.Luna (Customer Service) - the results ZERO: 1. The carriers NEVER wrote the date on the "Door Tag" 2. The carriers NEVER brought the packages front my apparent 3. The management NEVER try to solve this issue! In addition, when I try to speak with their manager, the guys on the front desk lied me that manager gone - EVERY 5 years they lied me that manager not here! So, guys, this FedEx Center is the WORSE CENTER in California ...try to avoid this FedEx's service in this place. P.S. I had a frustrating experience at this location recently. I went to pick up a package for my mom using her FedEx receipt, but the employee working the morning shift, an older lady with brown hair, refused to give me the package because I wasn't the recipient. I understand that policy, but when I asked her to at least confirm if the package was at the location so I could bring my mom in, she still refused to give me any information. I explained that the delivery note left at our door was missing crucial information--like the time the package would be available at the store--and that this is information that would be visible to anyone. My mom has medical issues, so it's not easy for me to pick her up and bring her to the store. Despite all this, the employee was uncooperative. Later, I went home, brought my mom, and a younger lady at the counter was much more helpful. She told me that unfortunately, the package wasn't there yet and wouldn't be until 5:30 pm. When I mentioned the earlier experience, she even said that if it had been her, she would have given me that information right away. I had a very bad experience at this office, and I believe the lady working the morning shift could use additional training. She seems more focused on creating problems than helping customers. While I was there, I also witnessed another customer struggling because she didn't have her tracking number. I have been trying to pick my package for the past 3 days. 6/23- FedEx came to my door and I wasn't home the gentleman informed me that the package required and adult and a signature. He said I can pick up my package at the FedEx location in Canoga Park later that day. I was not able to pick it up. 6/24- I went the following day during my lunch around 12:20pm a lady was there and I informed her that I came to pick up my package. She stated that it was out for delivery. I asked if I can put it on hold and she said yes to call not to do it online because the hold won't be placed on time. Before I left work I tracked my package and I saw the driver was back to the FedEx pick up location, therefore I drove there. I got there and I notice the lights were off, I walked in to a guy eating food and on his phone at the front. I told him I was here to pick up a package and he said the power is out. I can't track your package and I would not know where it is. I asked the guy how I can put my package on hold. He said "you can call the number at the bottom of your door tag paper". I called and I was not able to speak to someone only the automated system, which is very frustrating when you need to reach someone ASAP. The guy sitting there was no help at all. The nominated system informed me my package with be held at the Canoga park location ready for pick on 6/25. 6/25- I get there this morning. I had a Hispanic man in front of me. The guy mention to the lady that he was here to pick up a package. The guy was trying to look for the tracking number on his phone. The lady (GLADYS E) was asking for the tracking number. The guy was like which number pointing at his phone. Gladys stated rudely "the tracking number to the package you came to pick up" and made a face. The guy gave her one and she "stated that package got picked up already, so the guy gave her another one. Gladys stated "the driver already has that one in his truck, let me see if I can still get it ", she was able to get his package. I was up next I told her I was here to pick up my package. I placed the door tag paper on the counter in front of me. While I was checking on my phone if the driver was still at the FedEx location. She was like "what is the tracking number" twice. I was like the paper is right here while I was mentioning to her "I think the driver left already" she rudely said "yes he did you can come back after 5:30pm" and was ready to move on to the next person. I was like I called yesterday and put it on hold. She stated "well it is not on hold". I was like I called yesterday after 5pm while I was here since the power was out. Then she stated "I'm telling you that there is no hold". I was like understand. "I'm telling you that I called yesterday and did it through the automated system". I had enough of her and told her "I need to speak to a manager or supervisor". She's stated rudely again "okay you need to wait because the manager is busy". I was like well can you at least inform the manager that someone needs to speak to her/him that way the manager is aware. She was like I already told you the manager can't come until all the trucks are out. So of course she help everyone else and left me there waiting. Once she was done she went to the back I guess to inform the manager. While I waited the customer behind me stated "wow she was very rude and he apologized" which he should not have. After 10 minutes waiting, she came up to me and stated "so your package will be back at the facility at 2pm. I was like sorry but I don't want to speak to you. I need your manager. She was so disrespectful and rude. Speaking to customers like we were trash. Horrible customer service. She does not know how to work under pressure she seemed stressed out, unhappy and in a bad as mood. No good morning. No hello. Only "what's the tracking number". It seemed like she hated being there. To top it off she is Hispanic.... We Raza should not be treating each other with disrespect. We have enough with this cruel world. I've come here a few times to drop off packages over the last year and have always had a great experience. I've never had to wait long. The staff have been great. Very nice people. Always know what they're doing. They have a few carts for taking large or several packages from the car. The parking lot can get a little crowded, but so far I've always been able to find a spot. I've seen so many bad reviews for this place here on Yelp, I just had to leave a good one. In my personal experience, this is a perfectly good place to drop off packages. read more

I hate FedEx with every fiber of my being, by far worse than UPS, Amazon, USPS. Getting packages at my door ALWAYS requires a ridiculous amount of effort and calling and emailing to try and track down why the driver won't use our call box or leave a slip to let us know an attempt was made. With that said... I'm forced to come to this center to try and get my packages way more than I want to. But when I come here like 6:30p, these two guys working are amazing and super patient and helpful. One guy has a slight Russian (?) accent, dude couldn't be nicer, as frustrated as people are. I just went in to deliver a FedEx package. The woman there was wearing her mask but pulled below her nose. I'm sorry but it's kind of like looking at a guy with his pants pulled down. "Oh I'm sorry - are my pants pulled down gosh! How did that happen?" Half right takes away from the whole aspect of feeling safe going into a store. When questioned, her explanation was that her mask kind of falls down and she didn't realize it. I tried to shrug it off, in order for her to feel better. But why was I doing this? Fedex is never able to access the building, even the fact that I gave the Code in Delivery Instructions. I have this issue almost every time I have an order arriving through FEDEX! No other delivery service has this issue on a regular basis. The Customer Service people apologize, but are unable to help or understand why they are not using the delivery code at the gate as it shows. I was told, as a help, they would call my cell phone when they arrived at the gate if they still had a problem, so I could physically go to the gate. That did not happen, only an email saying they could not access the building. Five minutes later another service used the code as indicated with no problem! read more

INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEE, NEEDS TRAINING ASAP. I visited today, 1/19/23 around 6pm to pick up a package that was put on hold. FedEX lady, brown skin, curly hair, around 50 years old, a little on the heavy side said I can't pick up a package because my name isn't the recipient's despite having the same address. Policy on the package says REQUIRES A SIGNATURE FROM ANYONE OVER 21. FedEx Lady says that recipient on the package is the only person that can pick it up. Well you see, we work and can't be home to wait for Fedex to knock once and sprint it back to their truck. So I drive home and call customer service, customer service rep said I can pick it up because policy says REQUIRES A SIGNATURE FROM ANYONE OVER 21, apparently Ms. FedEx-No-You-Can't-Pick-It-Up was wrong and was making her own damn policies. I'm home now, wasted gas, and I have to go drive back. Customer service rep on the phone was surprised I was told that I can't pick it up. He ended up confirming with this damn store that they are wrong, incompetent, and to stop making their own crackhead policies. Anyways, I go back to the store and Ms. FedEx-No-You-Can't-Pick-It-Up probably was done for the day. Another lady helped me out and apologized for Ms. FedEx-No-You-Can't-Pick-It-Up, wasting my time/gas. To Managers: Invest more time in training your employees with policies, please! I took my frustration out here on YELP and not on the employees. Someone out there is more frustrated and crazier than I am and if they encountered this situation this could have turned out very different in person. On the phone, You can NOT talk to a human being, no matter what. This is no reflection of this specific location, but their whole customer service policy of not being able to talk to a representative on the phone is absolutely ludicrous and ridiculous In my own language, it's complete b*******. A Karen might say that this is unacceptable. And it is! Everything is automated, and you keep getting the same error message that a representative does not have any further information. Sometimes you just need to talk to a frigg'n representative. And with Fed Ex, you can't. There aren't that many proper FedEx locations on my end of the Valley, at least not as close as the competitor. FedEx prices are better than said competitor for smaller packages & so I drive the few miles to this location. Parking can often be scarce & the wait time while waiting in line inside can be long. Came here today about 12:15pm and this just about ruined my day, came in just to drop off an international package that was going overseas and the heavy set Hispanic lady tending the counter (she was the only one there) was such a "B"tch on wheels! I don't know what she had against me but she had such a bad attitude first thing she asked was where's the label which confused me because I had the label and packing slip in the plastic envelope on my package plus I had FedEx copy in my hand. She said that's not the label the one in my hand was we have to scan the label. I was so confused but she was also saying this very aggressively like she was angry btw she did not want to take the paperwork from my hands or look at anything like she didn't wanna help me, this went on her a minute and she kept asking me "what do you want me to do!" She started to say other things but at that point my confusion turn to anger and I said shut up I'll just get somebody else to deal with you because you're effing rude and as I was walking out she says I wasn't being rude so I called her the b word. Anyway called my boss he calmed me down and told me just to go to the Northridge location he might be calling into complain but I'm not sure, Btw the ladies at Northridge were so sweet but had to go to the North hills hub because they were not authorized to ship the type of package I had. They lie about delivering packages. If you request redelivery, it won't be done. I had a surprise present sent by My mother that didn't get delivered. I requested redelivery for a month with no signature. They claimed they came multiple times. This is lie, I have a Ring camera and there was never even one attempt; also I had waived the signature so that excuse was also invalid. And I could not pick it up since I worked 2 jobs. Come to find out, it was an edible gift and they had eaten it. I found out because she sent My sister the same package and when they refused to re-deliver, to her as well, she called and they tried the same lies; she also had proof they were lying due to her camera and she works from home. One of the actual employees told her he wanted to eat them. That is stealing a package. They then reported that we both were unresponsive and that they tried to redeliver multiple times and the mailer said to destroy them. So they stole both of our gifts, opened them, ate them, and lied about it. I went in to speak to a manager about it and dealt with Gladys. She was highly unprofessional, childish, disrespectful, carried a pathetic and disgusting attitude, and refused to get a manager. When I requested the phone number to make a complaint, she responded in the manner of an 8 year old. She smiled and in a childish voice went, "1-800-fedex." I responded "What is the actual number" 3-4 times to which she continuously kept saying in a childish manner, "1-800-FedEx." Thinking she was cute when she is anything but. Congrats on employing trashy, thieving people. Gladys should be fired and this entire FedEx center needs to be audited and re-staffed, including the manager that clearly allows all of this. read more

Not sure whose fault this is but I'd say the company as a whole is trash. I have missed two deliveries and now I am out of medication because this company is 10000% costumer unfriendly. I will now go out of my way to use USPS and avoid FedEx like the PLAGUE. When I missed a delivery, I actually felt powerless to ask this location to hold my package longer than 5 business days because I spent 20 minutes in an endless loop of talking to robots through menus and gave up. How stupid of me for thinking if I called a specific location's phone number, I would actually get to speak to a human who works there! Imagine my frustration that when I did try to pick it up, my package was already returned to sender. This, after I got a text earlier in the day that it was still there for pickup. I wouldn't even be here writing a 1-star review if FedEx actually gave me information or instructions on how to schedule a delivery, and if when I finally caved and paid for expedited overnight delivery, they actually LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY ARRIVED SO I CAN SIGN THE PAPER TO GET MY FLIPPIN MEDS.
