I love how they always manage to close 5 minutes early. So frustrating and not very professional.

I am an unhoused constituent with a valid, government-issued photo ID. Despite having an active mail hold and an application for a PO Box, the line supervisor at this location explicitly refused to allow me to retrieve mail and packages that have already been delivered here. Her reasoning? She claimed I must provide "proof of a local physical address"--a manufactured requirement that she knows a homeless person cannot fulfill. She then explicitly stated she is executing a "Return to Sender" protocol on my essential incoming packages and property. This is a direct violation of the USPS Postal Operations Manual (POM) Section 508.6.1 and official federal guidelines regarding mail service for the homeless. Federal law states that individuals without a fixed address are completely eligible for free, indefinite General Delivery service, and a matching photo ID is the ONLY legal requirement to pick it up. By fabricating fake address rules, this supervisor is actively obstructing access to the federal mail system and engaging in housing-status discrimination. A formal case has been opened with the Sierra Coastal District Consumer & Industry Affairs Office, an emergency complaint has been filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC), and an official federal inquiry is underway through the office of U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman. Station Postmaster Clarissa Bognot needs to immediately retrain her staff, rein in this supervisor, halt the unlawful returning of my property, and bring this branch into compliance with federal DMM and POM postal laws. Disgraceful service.

And even by Bicycle!!! Wait, whattttt????? Yes, the company which was started by two teenagers who began a messenger delivery service by bicycle in 1907 turned out to be the largest package delivery system globally of its time. Of course, nowadays, other companies have come into play, putting their own spin on how they can get you your package even quicker. Despite this.... UPS is still a Global Leader in its industry and ships nearly 6 billion packages per year. Fun fact: UPS stands for United Parcel Service. ------------------------------ Personally, I love shipping items via UPS. The guaranteed tracking number that comes with every single thing you ship and not having to pay extra (I know I know, the price is built in) but it's the principle of it and I like being able to track what I'm sending out. Also, sending something with USPS aka snail mail just doesn't give me the same confidence that my package will arrive like when I ship it with UPS. Also, I love UPS' consistency. If you see a UPS driver in your neighborhood around 1pm today, you will more than likely see them in your neighborhood tomorrow at.... You guessed it, 1 p.m. Yeah, Their routes are carefully researched and designed for consistency which makes for a reliable service that you can count on. Fun Fact: UPS has implemented for drivers to only make "right hand turns" to avoid accidents and improve efficiency. Anyone ever see a UPS driver go left?? lol But Lance, what if you don't have time to sit on your porch and wait for that reliable UPS driver to roll through at 1 pm like you claim they do? Enter the UPS store!! Yeah baby! A brick and mortar store front where Monday through Friday you can drop off your package from 830-7pm (10-4 on Saturdays, 10-3 on Sundays) and leave there with the confidence that your package will get picked up by a UPS driver and then later delivered to its destination as scheduled. Other than dropping off your UPS packages.... The UPS Store offers the following services: -Fax Machine Services -Notary -Passport ID Photos -Office & Mailing Supplies -Amazon Returns!!! So.... Who's ready to ship some stuff??

The woman who was an older brunette with glasses was refusing to scan it in. I asked why and she kept saying the return label and the hazard signage had to be together. She kept pointing to a sign to supposedly "show" me the way it was supposed to look but all she was pointing to was a sign saying the proper items needed to be on the package and legible. Which they all were! I told her that's how the label and signage was provided to me and it was together and she kept saying I needed a bigger box because the return label and signage needed to be side by side. I'm like it's in it's original packaging why would I get a bigger box? She refused to scan it in and made me drive to another post office where they confirmed everything was perfect and they scanned it in and took it just as it was. It's not my first time sending off one of these packages and I've never been given so many issues. She was extremely rude, unhelpful, and not knowledgeable. I even asked her to show me exactly how I would place the return label and signage and she just kept referring me to a not relevant sign on the wall.
