My 8 year old daughter was being teased about not being able to say her R's. Adults and children…read morealike would mimic her speech and a rude child on the soccer field pointed out the irony that her name had R's in it but she couldn't say them. Her name begins and ends with R, and she began to avoid saying her name when introducing herself or when people would ask her name. This broke my heart and solidified the need to seek speech therapy. She began therapy in February 2024 with Mikayla, and by October/November she had made drastic improvements in the ability to say R's but the habit of saying R sounds the old way was hard to break. It is now January 2025 and our insurance has changed so she is no longer able to attend therapy, but I am so happy to report that she has now mostly broken the habit of saying R's the old way all on her own without reminders, and most importantly can confidently say her own name. I also want to thank Karen for her diligence in working with my insurance company getting the claims paid. Without her extra work getting sessions covered we would not have been able to afford services. I am so grateful to Let's Talk Speech & Language Therapy for helping my daughter.

When my son was 3 years old, I brought him to Chatterbox since he was no longer developing verbally. In fact, he had regressed badly in preschool, and was largely not verbal there during the day. We later had him diagnosed with autism (ASD), and were able to pursue other services, but at the time, all we had was Chatterbox. After the initial intake with Courtney, he was accepted as a patient, and we got on the schedule pretty quickly. I don't believe it is this available or open normally, so I guess we got lucky. We set goals and we were coming to Chatterbox for 30 minute sessions (really 25 minutes) twice a week. We worked on some basic things, but given the later ASD diagnosis, we did what we could here. The end result was that after almost a year, he was verbal again and we met some of our goals. I didn't mind continuing with Chatterbox, but by that point, my son's needs were greater in other areas, so most of his time afterschool was allocated to behavior therapy instead. All in all, we are very thankful for the services that Chatterbox provided. Eternally grateful for the services delivered by Marina, Denny, Amanda, and Jenn. Also thankful to Priscilla for being great to work with from a scheduling and administrative perspective. Anyone who comes here will know right away that the parking lot is comical. The entrance on Cherry actually features bi-directional traffic, even though it's only wide enough for a single vehicle. If I do manage to get in this way, I'll do a quick pass through the lot, and if no spots, I'll make a right in the alleyway and another right on Reagan St., then another right back onto Katella, where there is usually street parking in front of the dentist.

The…read moreinstructors here suggest that they are teaching skills, but spend the time playing and commenting on how "cute" the children are every 5 minutes without actually assisting in their development. When we asked the instructor about this, she insisted that he was too young to learn and they were unsure why the insurance sent them due to their young age, yet they continued to insist the next appointment would be different (I guess it was a money grab) My son showed no growth during his time here, but incredible growth after deciding to no longer use this company. Also, please make sure you keep your insurance documents handy, as their billing team will change terms in payments without notifying you and then blame someone else (blaming insurance, due to their errors and requesting additional payment. Poor practice being run here.

When we were told that she should have been saying at least 50 words by 24 months, we knew that speech therapy was necessary. I contacted Jessica to start the process, and during our first phone conversation, I knew she was the right choice for our daughter. Jessica was extremely patient. She took time with me explaining the process of speech therapy, going over options, and overall, easing my mind about everything. After the initial evaluation, Jessica was able to give us a diagnosis, an overall plan, and an estimated timetable for therapy. Our daughter had sessions with Jessica for about 5 months. Jessica was very flexible with our family's schedule. She came to our home, as well as my parents' home, as they took care of our daughter a few days a week. Jessica immediately bonded with our daughter. She would sit with her on the floor and interact with her in a very calm and patient manner. Our daughter always thought that she and Jessica were just playing. She loved the games they played and the activities they did together. She looked forward to her visits every week. Jessica involved all family members in the therapy process, giving us tools to be able to work with our daughter on skills in our everyday life. She provided us with strategies to be able to reinforce what she had been working on with our daughter. All the tactics and routines that were part of her therapy plan were made known to everyone, and this approach, we truly believe, hastened her development of speech. We saw improvements in our daughter's expressive speech very quickly. Not only was she saying new words, her overall demeanor changed. Before she started speech therapy, she would get easily frustrated, as it was difficult for her to communicate with us. As her speech developed and she was able to express herself more to the people in her life, she became more content and calm. I called to ask if they can do labs and testing she said YES. She said on the phone they could do a blood draw and test for potassium overload. When I got there she said I needed to be evaluated and the dr. Would decide if I needed to be tested. I ask how long would results take and she said 3 to 5 days it goes to a third party lab. So NO YOU DON'T DO LABS!! If you lie to me once you don't get a second chance. I will be looking somewhere else for my urgent care needs. Training is key. UPDATE: The response isn't what I was told. It wasn't a miscommunication problem. Your girl, I came in contact with needs training. She is the first person the public comes in contact with. I don't remember her name but I remember her attitude. I ask specifically if you did labs and testing her answer was NO we send it to a third party. So Instead of leaving an advertisement for your business in the response you should use your time to train your staff. I don't need to discuss this further you know what you need to do.

Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

I have driven passed Expressions for over a year and decided to come check it out once my doctor recommended speech therapy for my son. The front office staff welcomed me and asked if I was checking in for myself or family member. I then said I wanted to check out the clinic so the woman at the front went to another room then introduced me to the office manager, Karen. the manager gave me a tour, showed me different treatment rooms that were vacant due to clinicians being out of the office, explained their practice and how their company works. After the tour the lady in the front introduced herself again as Victoria, gave me the managers card and told me if she wasn't available to ask for her. Overall very kind, thoughtful, clean and Im happy to say my son starts there in May. read more

They always try their hardest to fit us in with my son's primary therapists but we understand how the waiting list works. I am writing as a…read morewitness to share how the front desk experience with receptionist Teresa, has been consistently unprofessional and inappropriate. On multiple occasions, Teresa ignored us at check-in and check-out because she was talking on her personal phone or sometimes because she is chatting with others. She always makes us wait without acknowledgment, and when we did approach the desk, she was visibly irritated and made rude facial expressions. Worse, Teresa is always spoking loudly about other clients and their children, mocking and making disrespectful comments where everyone could hear. She was even talking incredibly loud about her own personal matters, including how she's having a baby, getting tax money, and was being mad because her baby's father gives money to his other child's mother -- all conversations we can hear in the waiting room. The last incident was especially upsetting: she openly gossiped about my niece, and her parents by name to another staff member while we were sitting right there. This made us feel disrespected and humiliated in a place where families should feel supported and safe. I want to make it clear that this type of unprofessional conduct will cost you clients and money. Families will refuse to come to a place where they feel mocked, disrespected, and gossiped about. As Kaiser members, we have already filed formal complaints about this establishment, and we sincerely hope you take immediate action before more families choose to leave for good.

My 8 year old daughter was being teased about not being able to say her R's. Adults and children…read morealike would mimic her speech and a rude child on the soccer field pointed out the irony that her name had R's in it but she couldn't say them. Her name begins and ends with R, and she began to avoid saying her name when introducing herself or when people would ask her name. This broke my heart and solidified the need to seek speech therapy. She began therapy in February 2024 with Mikayla, and by October/November she had made drastic improvements in the ability to say R's but the habit of saying R sounds the old way was hard to break. It is now January 2025 and our insurance has changed so she is no longer able to attend therapy, but I am so happy to report that she has now mostly broken the habit of saying R's the old way all on her own without reminders, and most importantly can confidently say her own name. I also want to thank Karen for her diligence in working with my insurance company getting the claims paid. Without her extra work getting sessions covered we would not have been able to afford services. I am so grateful to Let's Talk Speech & Language Therapy for helping my daughter.

Kirk & Leslie who are at the front desk are very communicative, caring, respectful, organized, and responsible. The office just upgraded to a bigger place so that was very exciting for the kiddos. Long overdue review of Chatterbox. It's been about a year since we left Chatterbox, but I'm very…read morethankful for the services that they provided to my son. When my son was 3 years old, I brought him to Chatterbox since he was no longer developing verbally. In fact, he had regressed badly in preschool, and was largely not verbal there during the day. We later had him diagnosed with autism (ASD), and were able to pursue other services, but at the time, all we had was Chatterbox. After the initial intake with Courtney, he was accepted as a patient, and we got on the schedule pretty quickly. I don't believe it is this available or open normally, so I guess we got lucky. We set goals and we were coming to Chatterbox for 30 minute sessions (really 25 minutes) twice a week. We worked on some basic things, but given the later ASD diagnosis, we did what we could here. The end result was that after almost a year, he was verbal again and we met some of our goals. I didn't mind continuing with Chatterbox, but by that point, my son's needs were greater in other areas, so most of his time afterschool was allocated to behavior therapy instead. All in all, we are very thankful for the services that Chatterbox provided. Eternally grateful for the services delivered by Marina, Denny, Amanda, and Jenn. Also thankful to Priscilla for being great to work with from a scheduling and administrative perspective. Anyone who comes here will know right away that the parking lot is comical. The entrance on Cherry actually features bi-directional traffic, even though it's only wide enough for a single vehicle. If I do manage to get in this way, I'll do a quick pass through the lot, and if no spots, I'll make a right in the alleyway and another right on Reagan St., then another right back onto Katella, where there is usually street parking in front of the dentist.

The…read moreinstructors here suggest that they are teaching skills, but spend the time playing and commenting on how "cute" the children are every 5 minutes without actually assisting in their development. When we asked the instructor about this, she insisted that he was too young to learn and they were unsure why the insurance sent them due to their young age, yet they continued to insist the next appointment would be different (I guess it was a money grab) My son showed no growth during his time here, but incredible growth after deciding to no longer use this company. Also, please make sure you keep your insurance documents handy, as their billing team will change terms in payments without notifying you and then blame someone else (blaming insurance, due to their errors and requesting additional payment. Poor practice being run here.

It's very unfortunate because they've gone thru a lot of new hires at the front. Hopefully they can hire friendlier staff who smile and make you feel valued and appreciated as a client/patient. The speech therapists, on the other hand are sweet and my toddler does enjoy coming to his speech sessions.
