This was the worst experience i have ever had with purchasing a car, purchasing anything really. Angelo and Paul in financing gave me the worst customer service, they would have me come in on my limited schedule, for an appointment, make me wait for hours...even to sign papers and to pick up my vehicle. They forced me into purchasing this car because they wanted to get rid of it, lied to me, telling me that the bank only approved me for a specific 11,900 car, but when I found cheap cars, of the same price and less, of the same warranty they lied to me and did all they had to do to make sure i could not purchase it. I had numerous people call in, and come in to take a look at these vehicles confirming they were for sale even though i was told by Angelo that they were on hold. I had my uncle, who is the manager at a different branch even look into the system and confirm these vehicles were available. Because i was strapped for time, i had to purchase this vehicle and they knew that, and took advantage of that fact. All i want to do is be ride of expressway toyota and yet once again, i have been hounding them to give me my extra copy of keys with no luck. Now that they have gotten rid of this car, they do no give a shit what else I need to make the purchase complete. I have heard horrible reviews about this locations customer service and will do anything in my power, to ensure that anyone i know, doesn't even think to set foot in this poor excuse for a dealership. read more

I take my car in for its 45k service. usually I know exactly what that is. But today I went in unprepared and got whacked for 168.00 for a oil change and some other charges I have no idea what they even mean. The service adviser tells me that they need to roll back the rear brakes. HUH? So in addition to this I had a problem with the remote start and they fixed it and hit me for another 90 dollars. I explain that I purchased the extended warranty and the service advisor spouts out that he called the warranty people and its not. So I pay it and ask to see the Service Manager. The Service Manager was very helpful and reviewed my warranty and refunded me my money. He was the only highlight in the place. The front line people don't care and don't take the time to know what they are talking about. Very frustrating getting taken for 75.00 dollars over the price of an oil change. read more

My car start acting funny. So i called them to make an appointment. I just got rear ended,but the very same day the engine start acting funny. Like wouldn t go any faster than 40miles. So i brought the car in to see if the engine issue is related w the accident . When i got there i let the guy know i only have 1.5 hours at my disposal and asked him if i can get a diagnostic in that time frame. He said sure, and told me to wait in the cafeteria until they call me. An hour later my car is parked in the parking lot and they tell me they need more time to investigate. All they did was driving the car around, performed 0 tests and than told me they need more time. On top of that the guy at the desk was laughing at me. Horrible services. Like countless others before me, when purchasing a vehicle, I decided to do my due diligence and read reviews of dealerships. When it came to Toyota Expressway, I decided to forgo all of the warnings and purchase a vehicle from them (yes, I thought my experience would be better...I am a savvy consumer, how could I get snowed?). After 5 hours waiting for the paperwork to go through, I purchased a beautiful used Lexus GX 470 -- heck, I even negotiated new tires with the deal as I saw that the tires on the vehicle had dry rot (yeah, me!). Well, apparently, as they were going to put the inspection sticker and tires on my vehicle, a sensor light came on. What did that mean? That meant, that I wouldn't see my newly purchased vehicle for 13 days, as they sent it to Lexus of Danvers to be looked over and repaired as necessary. Because the car came at a good price and because I trusted that Toyota Expressway and Lexus of Danvers were doing right by me, I let the 13 days slide. FINALLY came the day when I picked up my new vehicle. As I drove it home, a sensor light came on again for low tire pressure. I kid you not! So, instead of dealing with Toyota Expressway again, I took it to Lexus of Norwell the very next day. They (literally) saved my life. How did they save my life? I truly truly wish that I could attach pictures here, but I cannot. They saved my life because they showed me the horrific horrific rust rot and total destruction that was the underside of my newly purchased vehicle. There wasn't even a skid plate on the car - every part was exposed. The likelihood of pieces literally snapping off -- extremely high. My car is now a legend in certain mechanic circles - seriously! True, Toyota Expressway took the vehicle back and they were courteous - um, they should be! But, no no, my story does not end here. Despite the fact that they confirmed with me that my loan did NOT go through for the vehicle, I received a bill from the lending bank. I have been told repeatedly by the Finance folks at Toyota Expressway that they have paid off the loan but the bank keeps saying they have not received any funds. And, on and on, I go with this nightmare. A full month of a nightmare - during which I actually had physical possession of the vehicle for ONE DAY. Please, please, please, heed my warnings. Do not purchase from these people and, if you do, ask that they put your vehicle up on a lift and get it looked at by another mechanic! In general, stay away! read more

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! Issues: 2 cars in 1 month 08 and 13 Toyota Corolla (supposedly certified used) Failed brakes in the first car! The second car has had Internal failure in the engine (the whole thing had to be replaced) miss aligned head lights and running lights, Leaking antifreeze. Since purchasing the car the service center has had it longer than I have!! It took 1 month to have my initial $500 deposit refunded ( I made bunch of calls and sent emails to the sales manager, I also spoke to him in person twice. In the end I had to call the corporate Toyota office, they opened a ticket by 8am the next morning I had my refund. It took 3 1/2 weeks to have my towing $200 fee refunded (I called and went down to the dealership twice before I got my refund). This was my first car and it was meant to be a really happy and exciting time I my life. This was hands down the worst experience of my life!!! They won't let me out of the contract, and so stressed and I have no idea what to do. It looks like i'm going to have to get a lawyer to resolve this. read more

I brought my car for a simple service at 7 am. 6 hours later I called and apparently the call was rerouted to two ladies who said that "unfortunately there are no service respondents at this time blah blah blah". So i decided to get there and to make matters worse, the car was not even looked at when I went for pick up!! Who the hell is the manager at this dump? This is the WORST dealership we have ever been to. They quoted us a price online that was great, so we drove down to take a look. The truck looked like it had been taken 4 wheeling (completely covered in mud and we noticed something had hit the front bumper, drivers side carpeting completely covered in mud). They said we could test drive it and if we were interested they would locate one without damage and clean. We agreed and were interested in purchasing the truck, as we were negotiating the manger Mark (absolutely awful) came over and said there was no way they could honor the price given to us via email, he said it was an error (we believe they just wanted us in the door) didn't even want to deal with us, just said he would fill our gas tank if we just left. This particular truck wasn't easy to locate so we wanted to stay and negotiate anyways with the new price. The whole time they said they would locate us a new truck and not the damaged one. We finally came to a reasonable price and we're ready to do paperwork when we noticed the damaged truck was what they were using on the paperwork , we questioned it and again the manager Mark came said that for the price we negotiated it would be the damaged truck and that's it , and just walked away from us. After 4 hours of being in that dealership I just wanted to jump of a bridge. Manager Mark should be fired, he's rude,arrogant, and won't let you get a word in. read more

I must say this is the worse dealership I have ever dealt with. I want to start by saying they quoted a price and when it came time to close the deal they told me it was more money to buy the car. I had to go back to the dealership five times and spent over ten hours trying to buy a car. I had an issue on the color of the car they couldn't get me what I wanted. I was called down to the dealer because they told me my car was ready and when I got there it was a totally different color. I had to go through finance twice because they didn't have the proper paperwork on file. I brought a new camery don't ask me why from Expressway and when I picked it up it was dirty. I spoke to the custom relations manger Ann and she did nothing but make excuses for her people. I am going to reach out to TOYOTA but it seems like they don't care either. Had a great buying experience here working with Tony got the car for the price I wanted. They initially didn't have the car I was looking for when I went in even though it was listed online as being in stock. All the dealerships seem to have this issue so I will give them a pass as far as that goes. Tony ended up getting back to me later that day after one of the other buyers fell through on the car I was looking for. There was another review complaining about not receiving an inspection sticker but that was not the dealerships fault MA was swapping out the inspection equipment, they also reimbursed me after I got the sticker myself. read more

Grumpy grumpy ancient old man registered me....took 15+ minutes to type in my name, address, phone number and VIN number....like the guy was seeing the computer keyboard for the first time in his life. Then it took an additional hour and a half for my car to be serviced...getting inspection sticker and oil change....not rocket science....and I had an appointment! Could've been in and out of jiffy lube in 15 min! The final straw was that they overcharged me for the oil change...$15 more than the dealer I usually go to does! They are deceitful and shameless. Be very careful! Before you show up in person, email them and ask for an official quote that they can not dispute. They don't care what they have offered you over the phone. Their business model is to drag you to their store and cajole you into a deal that you will regret right away. In my case, they firmly said that they will beat every quote of their competitors. I was in the parking lot of Boch Toyota (relatively more honest people from whom I eventually got a way better deal) and I called these charlatans in Exprssway. They assured me that they will give me a better deal. So, I drove an hour to their dealership and they shamelessly denied everything. That guy Billy is a douchebag that you should certainly avoid. If they assigned him to you, simply ask for another sales associate. You will be better off working with any other associate. Again, I cannot stress enough: ask for an official quote to be emailed to you before you step foot in their dealership. Good luck. read more

I spent a long time negotiating a car purchase with them and gave my credit card for a deposit for a particular vehicle identified by VIN. The salesman called back to say they didn't have it. Said he'd call when he could get a different one. Then the "business manager" called several days later to "take the next step and finish the deal." He hadn't done his homework: didn't know that they couldn't actually get the car they had sold me. So he too said he'd call me back when he'd tracked it down. He never did. Purchased a used car from Expressway Toyota and every month since getting the car it has been back for service. When we purchased the car it was said that new brakes were put on them, however, 2 weeks later the brakes were scrubbing. We brought the car back to find out that nothing had been done. The brakes and rotors were bad. We take it home again, go to the carwash and the car shuts down on us. Take the car back and find out the wiring harness was bad. Now we come into one of the few warm days we get in Massachusetts and go to put the a/c on and it blows out hot air. Take the car back and they said the compressor was gone and there would be a $100 deductible. We paid it thought it would take care of the problem, but NOOOOO, took the car home and found out that it still not work. Brought the car back a second time and they found out something else was wrong with it and they had to order the part. Well that took 2 days (in their defense they did give us a loaner car). Well picked the car up and was assured it was working fine. Was told that it had to run for a bit and guess what, it did not work. Brought it back a 3rd time for the same issue before it was fixed. Will never purchase a car or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have bad credit, and they were able to get me a lease on a 2011 car! They were very nice, and overall it was a good experience.

This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. As someone else said, we also walked around the lot without any sales person approaching us, but as soon as we walked inside people were friendly and eager to help. One of the reasons the sales team doesn't bombard people as soon as they walk on the lot is because many people come to the service center and are just waiting for their car to be serviced and are not actually looking for a car. So when you go, make sure to step inside and someone will help you. We went in to just look at cars the first day and we let our sales guy Ismael know that we would not be buying that day. I test drove a few cars, talked some numbers, and we left. He did not employ any high pressure sales tactics to keep us there. When we came back a few days later I was prepared to negotiate the price of the car down, my trade-in value up, and get rid of any additional fees dealerships like to add. I didn't really need to bother though, they were having a special on the car I wanted that saved me over 2 grand off of MSRP, they don't charge ANY bogus fees, and they actually gave me more than the Kelly Blue Book value of my car. Ismael was incredibly nice and helpful and not the typical "salesman". Karyn Ingram in finance was also incredibly nice and she explained line by line all the charges and worked really hard to get me their advertised special of 0% APR. This was an incredibly positive experience and this may be the one time I go back to the dealer for all my servicing. read more

What a rotten place to buy a car. The sales people are very shady and try to use a lot of tricks in their approach. I bought a Certified Mini van there and was not happy with a couple of things. It is understandable that minor thing can occur but how matters are dealt with is what counts. Just this week I had to replace my rotors for my brakes because the company resurface the old ones and did not have the courtesy to change the brakes pads. ( I have a copy of their service request to prove it). When you go in to service they recommend unnecessary procedures. i once did some servicing with them and a guy name Benjamin had the Audacity to tell me I signed off on it. This is the WORST car dealership ever in Massachusetts. JOEL GORDON, a business development director called my brother and agreed to give us a deal of $29,000 for a TOYOTA Hybrid car 2016. We talked over the phone (around 9:45am) and promised to come over within an hour. Before stopping by, I've called to TONY TIEN HUYNH, a salesman, (at 10:04 am) because he's the one who had every information of mine. I was regret to tell Tony about that deal. Tony said $29,000 is a perfect deal, come and buy it now. But when I stop by, a receptionist arranged me with Andy Xia. Tony saw us with Andy and sold the car immediately at the same time to someone else. Tony Tien Huynh is a cunning salesman!!!! He thought he lost the commission and wasted his time before, because we didn't make a final decision with him. Tony is a noneducational and unprofessional salesman. WE CALLED OVER 20 calls to JOEL to report this manner issue but he never respond or call back. I waited for a while and they arranged to meet with MIKE JELLEY, a Sales Manager. This is the second impolite man besides Tony. Everything he did was to protect his employee for nonsense. DON'T GO TO TONY TIEN HUYNH! We bought a used certified pre-owned Sienna. The price was okay but in the ad it mentioned NEW tires and brakes. Take their "new" with a pinch of salt. The rear tires had a slow leak which I noticed in few weeks (TPMS light came on). Long story short While vacationing 200 miles away, I had to take my car to a tire store to check the rear tires.Mechanic told me that tires were patched up earlier and were over 2 years old. So they just put some old tires on their cars and passed them out as new. Had to replace them at a cost of $ 400.00. Car I traded in had 24k miles and they put 124K on the paper to lower the value. SHADY!!! Will go to toyota of woburn for all servcing now. read more

Shady shady busines practices going on here! From the moment I walked in I could tell this place wasn't professional, the sales woman that helped me was wearing bright purple pants and a sweatshirt. She made me walk around the lot with her while she tried to find the car that I had seen online and wanted to test drive. then once she found it she went back to get the keys and made me walk back out again instead of pulling it up. I liked the car so I wanted to get a feel for how much my monthly payments would be. She said to write her a check for the downpayment and they could run the numbers. I made it very clear I wasn't buying anything until I had all my information so she went and got a manager. He said the very same thing that they can't give me those numbers until i'm ready to buy. I went home to think about it and do the math myself and decide on a number I was comfortable with. I went back and made my offer-- 2k below asking price and I dug my heels in. I told them I did my homework and I'm an educated consumer and they instantly hated me and were rude from there on out. Another manager came over and said they wouldn't budge and that I was ridiculous because no one uses kelly blue book or other estimates to price a car...but I'm pretty sure everyone does!? I then got up to leave because i had other cars I was looking at so it wasn't the end of the world. Suddenly they could drop the price 1k. So I stopped, and met them in the middle and went up 500$ on my price and said that was it finally offer. They used every sales tactic in the book to try to stay at the price. At one point the MANAGER even said "then why did you even come here if theres another car you can get for cheaper" I said "good point" and started walking away. Magically they can meet my price. I shake his hand and say we have a deal...and then they STILL can't give me a quote for a monthly payment until I sign the papers and hand them a check. I brought my daughter to Toyota Expressway for her car. We were then introduced to sales representative Aeon King. Mr.King started off wonderful and very professional. Later on he became unprofessional, very rude and wanted my daughter to settle for a car that was on the lot that she did not want. He became angry when my daughter wanted to order the color that she originally wanted because he wanted to close the deal with a car that was already in stock.After I insisted that my daughter gets color she wanted he told her that she would have to wait two to three days. Two to three days turned into eight days. When my daughter called Mr.King he told her "you shouldn't have taken the day of of work no one said you were getting the car today." When he told her that would be the day she could get her car. He also said "you should've taken what I had available then you wouldn't have had this problem and don't call me I'll call you." After seven days my daughter called to check in with Mr.King. He spoke to me and my daughter in the most demeaning and belittling manner EVER telling us "I came in on my day off to help you." I took me 2 days to reach Mr.King's sales manager,after being given the run around by several employees as to why I can't speak to a sales manager I said I would talk to another location and get my daughters car. A sales manager by the name Michael Hasing seemed to call me back immediately. Michael Hasing said "I apologize on behalf of Toyota Expressway,our sales representative, and the treatment you've received." After his five minute apology he said let's cut to the chase and get your daughters car. My daughter arrived twenty minutes later to pick up her new 2016 Corolla. She was meet by Mr.King and Mr. Hasing who delivered her car and told her how important it was how she shouldn't give a bad review. Mr.Hasing signed a IOU paper for my daughter's new car mats that did not come with the car. The following night my daughter thought it was important to write a review on how she was feeling about the way she was treated. The next day she came in to get her mats and Mr.King said to my daughter "you will not be getting you mats for your car. Would you like to speak to the manager" and my daughter replied yes. Mr.Hasing came over to Mr.King and my daughter. Mr.Hasing and Mr.King then said "Since you gave us a bad review go buy your own mats!" My daughter is feeling so afraid that she is now in a contract with a car dealer that has treated her in this manner. We will not be working with this branch again. I would seriously give this place negative stars if i could. I will NEVER take any car here for servicing or repairs again. They lie and have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. After going back and forth consistently for 5 months trying to get this car fixed and running properly, it's in even worse shape than it was when i initially brought it in. They fixed absolutely NOTHING! Yeah...so the people are friendly but who cares...they don't know what theyre doing. I asked if the car was on to drive, given the issues i brought it in for, and was told yes. 5 months later, I'm told that i shouldn't have been driving it by the SAME PERSON that told me it was ok to drive. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE! Not even my worst enemy would i recommend this horrid place. My obvious advice...find someplace else to go. You might even have better luck googling and fixing the issue yourself. Maybe that's what I should have done. On top of that, they're over priced.
