They and their main and regional offices all responded extremely quickly to my complaint and wanted to make it right. That's very much appreciated. I think a great solution would be to not bury the fine print so far from the pricing but put a short notice below the pricing for each unit - simply that price is subject to change at anytime with 15 days notice. I certainly would've paused and considered other options. Original one star review: Bait and switch pricing. Increased my rent 65% after less than 3 months with only 20 days notice. You have to scroll down 6 pages to find the fine print that says they can change pricing at any time with 15 days notice. This is a summer storage unit for my daughter's dorm and we're not local so it wouldn't make sense for us to fly out and move to another facility. Will never do business with them again. Utterly ridiculous and shady business practice.

Cons: America gave me a map of facility but such tiny print made it difficult to use. Simple reflective numbers as you round corners would be extremely helpful. The pad for access code, the hand sensor to open the door leaving, the elevator buttons, have all seen better days. America was busy in the facility and out of office when we arrived. The sign on door said 1245 return, almost hour and half later. Called the facility number, remote customer service bot, etc. America did call us about 20 mins later. Explained that when she is rounding, she can't be contacted by customer service (no beeper, cell, walkie-talkie) etc. That's an issue for customers needing assistance ie needing a lock cut off or someone needing a storage unit tour. My sister was clearing out her storage unit. We had movers scheduled. It was a smooth process after a rocky start. America is an asset to this facility.

After I called to confirm our move with them the day before, they sent one less mover than I contracted for (they sent 2, not 3) and THE TRUCK WAS TOO SMALL TO FIT EVEN 3/4 OF OUR 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT. How does that even happen? I've seen larger trucks used for smaller moves. My husband spent 7 hours moving heavy boxes and furniture alongside the crew because they literally could not get the job done without him. After 7 hours, we hired a Task Rabbit with a moving truck to come assist, for $250, and I still paid $900 to Mark's. Again, this was a 2 bedroom apartment, not a mansion. I have not received a call back to mend this situation and am appalled. I suggest you do not work with this company.
