My grandma doesn't speak much English but the language barrier proved no problem in the face of Ty and Brandon's kindness. Ty and Brandon were undoubtedly impressive. Professional from start to finish. Crazy strong and fast. They were efficient yet careful. No damage to any of our belongings. Ty and Brandon worked quickly in order to help my family save costs--even doing extra things to help like move a whole fridge to make my life easier. What was estimated to take 3.5-5 hours took the pair of them 2.5 hours. This is with one tall flight of stairs at the old apartment and FOUR flights of winding stairs at the new. Unreal. My family has moved twice before but no other moving company left anywhere near the same positive impression as YouMoveMe. It involved three pallets of windows. I checked out the items at HD to get size measurements to figure out where to store the load At our house. I explained the tight single lane road approach to our driveway requiring a certain sized truck. I made contact with the driver on the road at my driveway. We discussed the way to move the truck and fork lift. Long story short, the whole unloading operation was perfect. Fitting the pallets into the storage structure was tight, but uneventful. He asked about my threshold, but I was still groggy and didn't quite understand. I mentioned that I had already paid $20 for the threshold service. He then asked if I had my receipt, which I confirmed, it's on my phone. He said he would call me before the delivery. About an hour later, he called back, still stressed. He informed me that the delivery would be made on a flatbed and that someone else would come and move the item through the threshold. I asked if that made sense. His agitation escalated, and he became increasingly angry. He yelled at me, demanding to know if I wanted the delivery or not, three times. I requested his name and the company he worked for. He refused to provide that information. I urged him to drop off the item so that I could meet him and the delivery service he worked for. I called Home Depot and spoke to a representative at the local store. As I explained the situation, Home Depot called, I asked if I could put her on hold. I switched over and spoke to Home Depot delivery department. She was pleasant. They apologized for the mover's demeanor. I explained the incident and informed her that Home Depot would lose a significant amount of business due to the unprofessional behavior of this individual. The situation was utterly ridiculous, and I believe the mover has a bias toward women.

I've dealt with another moving company in the past where I suspected some jewelry went missing. My Samsung 55" TV and computer monitor arrived completely shattered. Ten smaller boxes of my china collection were missing, and the pieces that did arrive were broken. These were high-value items, and I was never compensated because the movers failed to put stickers on the boxes -- which honestly felt negligent at best, and intentional at worst. On top of that, around 15 boxes either never arrived or showed up heavily damaged. I communicated with both Hawaiian Movers and the local company, and neither showed any sympathy or sense of responsibility. Their response was cold and dismissive: just "go talk to the insurance company." This happened about two years ago, and I am only writing this review now because I was recently going through my china collection while preparing for an event, and it brought everything back. It still makes me angry and sad. Please be extremely careful if you use this company. Make sure the movers put stickers on every single item and box. In my case, they did not label many of my items, and that became the reason I could not get compensated. Worst of the worst. Do not use them.

We had originally been planning on renting a UHaul from Pam (WSS) but I figured that this might be better since our move was from Waianae to Makiki. I contacted Hero and they called me back. . .I swear like 12 minutes later. I spoke to Jordan and received a rough quote, informing him that our move date was still fluid. A few weeks later we got our confirmation into the apartment and I actually communicated with Jordan through TEXT to sign the quote and make the final arrangements as I had gotten sick and lost my voice. That was VERY useful because it took a few days for my voice to come back. From Waianae to Makiki I was quoted under $1,500 to move furniture from the single bedroom we were in to a one bedroom apartment. Which might seem like a lot for 2 desks, 2 shelves, a bed and boxes but you need to remember that this is Waianae to Makiki. . . Anyway, 3 days before the move disaster struck! Our new landlord decided that they didn't want us there and they were going to keep the apartment empty in order to have an easier time selling the building in the future. With 72 hours notice I was able to contact Jordan and redirect our move from Makiki to our storage unit at Waikele Self Storage. What did Jordan say? "Yes we can!" No additional charges, no argument, no triggering some weird policy to make the process a pain, just a "Yeah, sure." Which was excellent in such a stressful situation. Moving day! Our crew was great. They packed random loose items fast, hauled furniture out quickly and safely, and were respectful in our home. They moved 5 large furniture items down a hall, a flight of stairs and down another hall without hitting a single wall, navigating long furniture items down our tight staircase with no damage. The people they sent, who gave us their names but my ADHD couldn't hold onto them, were approachable, friendly and thorough throughout the process and they were in and out quick. Once we got to WSS they helped us load everything into our unit, called their boss, their boss called me and everything was paid for. This was such an easy process from when I picked up the advertisement in the storage office to when we watched them drive away with our money. 10/10 service, I highly recommend Hero Moving.

Moving to Baltimore from Hawaii was stressful enough and they offered me to share a container with another party, no discount but added more expense. When my things got here the crate, when unloaded, lots of my things fell to the ground. Glass was broken on pictures, things were hapazorardly thrown into other boxes. No inventory of boxes checked off. I have sent recipts and pictures of damage, which I was told to do. Several emails and no reponse. Tried to send recipts certified mail and it was sent back, address unknown. I am a single, disable, veteran woman and I would have expected more from them as they target miltary and veterans. Do not recommend after my experience. I would have expected more from a Hawaii based business
