Check for signs of deception and as well bad service, like the constant 5 years of rate increases and yet never saw a single upgrade and the elevator is always is down or on the fritz, now lets talk about the lack of carts or have to wait for one, look i get it real estate is up in Los Angeles but for 300$ a month i think i would get treated with better service! and a lot more equally. Now lets get back to the parking lot, hardly any parking spaces so be prepared to fight with customer for either trying to park or attempting to leave, big trucks usually hog up the limited parking space, now the keypad being broken in January and had to endure the painful management transition that wow !! nice replacement guys My concern is that is you really want to get treated poorly this is the right place for you, if you want to fork over lots of money for no upgrades! yup this is the place. If you want to be asked for money while pulling out of the parking then yup! this is for you, Thanks for nothing, god the place smells and for the price you pay you think it would look decent lol, nope it ain't even that close. Storage companies are all organized crimes, the elite set them up to steal from the less fortunate, I give them lots of credit for how brilliant they are and have no morals or conscience. I'm a single mom with a couple little kids, I recently had got evicted and I stored my belongings in the Simi Valley location, BIG MISTAKE. I want everyone to know is that this companies KNOWS the value of your belongings and they will do anything to get you evicted so they can auction off your stuff. I had stored my furniture there for about a year and I would pay in 3 months increments, always cash and I got to know the employees pretty well and they are very nice. It was shortly after Christmas, I was waiting for my student loan to pay my storage, I wasn't even a month behind and they auctioned off my unit. CRAZY! They will tell you that they called you or that they mailed you notices but this is not true, they never call nor mail notices. I had a $20K value of furniture and they sold it, they wouldnt even let me get my personal belongings that BY LAW they are suppose to let you keep. The reason they are able to get away with this is because they know we won't be able to hire a lawyer because we are broke citizens in need of storage. The company doesn't care to auction off your stuff, they have no morals but the only thing that keeps me sane is that GOD SEES EVERYTHING AND THERE WILL ONE DAY BE CONSEQUENCES. read more

My mom just started renting with Extra Space on Vine. Center of Hollywood, what can be better - Holywood and vine. So far it's the best storage place we've used . And my mom used it quite a lot. The location is easy to access and once you pull in with your vehicle there's several spaces you can park and use carts to unload. There are three gates you can use to enter the building and then two elevators to access the second floor. We have made several trips to unload our things and it's always very smooth, pull in, park, unload, open gate, pull cart into elevator and take to the unit. (I've had past experiences with stalled elevators, lack of parking, too many people taking up entrance space etc). The whole building is clean and tidy and the staff is very friendly. The lights come on automatically as you walk through the halls and there's good ventilation - so it's bright and not stuffy (like other places). I just moved to LA from Florida and placed about $20,000 worth of stuff in this storage unit at 5825 Santa Monica blvd Extra Space storage in good faith, The security who signed me up ensured my stuff was safe and they have only had water damage. I went back a week later to find my lock bent and scraped with all my things stolen. Identity, laptop, iPad, about 15,000 in designer clothes Louis Vuitton backpack etc... Absolute scam. They signed me up in April 2018 for $135 for a storage unit and the service agent assured me there would "small pricing increases over time." I checked my automatically billed credit card statement and since August 2018 they have without notice increased the fee to $280 - yes, they've doubled it. I called and the agent was extremely rude and said "we have every right to increase the rent it's in the agreement." So these guys tell you one thing and bury massive increases in the fine print. This was not any kind of promotional offer. It's simply a scam. AVOID EXTRA SPACE STORAGE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! read more

Big shoutout to Chenice, the manager! She's incredibly accommodating and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic experience. The place is safe and clean with indoor storage units, so no dust at all. They've got a roomy elevator, perfect for big furniture. Only downside is parking if you've got a tall truck (over 13' I guess). The facility is right by the freeway, so you have to either park on the sidewalk or be prepared for a bit of an uphill walk to get to the place. For regular cars tho, their garage offers plenty of space. read more
