We are very happy with the quality of the barbecue island and it took less time to be completed than originally quoted. The temperature gauge has moisture in it after the rain, but James said he would order a new one for us as it is under warranty. Delivery and set-up was exceptional considering the size of the island and navigating through the gate to my yard!!! James was very helpful and provided us with information on different options and what would look good. When we decided to go ahead with the build James drew up the design and told us it would take 4 weeks to delivery. James had tons of options, styles and looks for the counter top. Customer service was great until they got paid and I signed the "all sales are final" invoice. I found this business on Yelp and contacted them to coordinate a last minute BBQ purchase. James, the owner, was quick to respond, gave me his cell number, and asked me to text him pictures of the existing BBQ/island with the dimensions of the opening. I sent him the info and we scheduled to meet at the store. James walked me through the showroom, showing me several options that would supposedly fit the current opening. He started to point out others that wouldn't exactly fit and I said I wasn't interested (then I'd have to modify the island). I didn't take a tape measure and thought he understood exactly what size I needed based on our texts. I decided on one of the BBQs he recommended, paid for it, and scheduled to have it delivered by a contract vendor. The installer arrived on time and, I soon found out, had to widen the opening by removing approx 1 1/2" of countertop. Umm, I thought it was supposed to fit?? When I got home that evening, I looked at it again and realized a 2 3/4"+ horizontal gap along the bottom because the new grill had a much smaller face than the old grill. Now, the edges of the cut tile and unpainted stucco are completely exposed and it looks unfinished. The bbq and the island don't look like they belong together at all. This is exactly what I DIDN'T want to happen. I text the installer and he said he would have closed the gap with a piece of stainless steel trim had that been on the work order, but it wasn't. I then called the store and spoke to a woman, who ask me to text her a picture of the gap and directed me to James. When he picked up, I was appalled at his tone. He was so EXTREMELY condescending, like I'm supposed to be the bbq expert and should have known better. He was talking over me, yelling into the phone, and scolding me like a child. I have never been so disrespected and even had to ask him to lower his voice, which he really didn't do. Just because he kept yelling "ma'am" doesn't mean he wasn't completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I was just trying to voice my disappointment in the final outcome and see how it could be corrected. Sorry my Master's Degree isn't in BBQs! By the end of the call, he said there was nothing he could do and directed me to the manufacturer's website to verify they require a 2" gap under the front of the grill. Umm, yeah, I checked that and there's no such info. The pictures of island BBQs on the Napoleon website don't even show gaps. Nice try. Like another reviewer already stated, what a liar. Prices seemed decent, but I'll never do business here again. Please go somewhere else. read more

I met a very helpful sales rep at the OC Swapmeet who came to my home to measure and recommend an island barbecue that would fit perfectly. I was invited to visit the Ontario store to look at the inventory. There are tons of stuff to look at and James is extremely helpful in making sure you get exactly what you want. Pricing is good too! Disclaimer - This review is more about the product than the service. The salespersons were helpful and easy to work with. We visited the showroom and ended up spending $3,000 on the JJ Wicker brand sectional sofa and a dining table. Resin wicker products come with a 3 year warranty and when I pulled the furniture out for summer use just after the 3 year mark, I noticed that the wickers was warping, cracking and breaking off. It was covered during the off seasons and now I have tiny pieces of wicker all over my patio. The salesperson I dealt with nicely offered to replace the pieces at cost. It was a nice gesture but why would I spend more money on an inferior product. The sales brochure indicates "Premium woven wicker made to last a lifetime." I got 3 years out of it. I'll probably buy something from Costco or Target next time. read more

I would give zero stars but can't. My husband went her to purchase a drop in Fire pan and was told it was $429. He had a friend go in and the friend was told it was over $600. My husband took me in yesterday the 7th to show me the pan, and again the same sales man said it was $429. Another sales person was bringing the pan for me to see and I guess the owner or the person in charge, came out hollering saying I told you and your friend that its $600. That's it and we can't go lower. Asked, the person why are you getting indignant with us, you should be talking to your sells rep, as he's the one who said it was $429, and the person just kept yell. When we were leaving the same sales rep said it was $429 again. This person is just trying to get a 75% mark up, due to the 48x14 pans being out of stock right now from American Glass, in Lake Elsinor. America Glass is where every dealers get them from and should have them back in stock by April 30. Please wait, Amazon should also have them back in stock then. Do not shop here. read more

I will tell you that my wife and I did a lot of research before we decided on Extreme Backyard Designs. They'd been recommended by friends of ours who had had a very good experience with them, so we weren't going in cold. Of all the companies we visited, Extreme Backyard Designs had by far the largest showroom, including multiple options in every category we needed to consider. The choices in colors, stone, tile, etc. were phenomenal. We feel like we got very competitive pricing on a large U-shaped island and hutch, the "Delta Heat" grill we selected, and on some additional bar seating we picked out. We're still planning to go back out for a large 8-person outdoor dining set when things settle down. The team at EBD was outstanding. We asked lots of questions, and they had the answers. It's a little ways out to Ontario from Orange County, but believe us when we say, it was worth the drive! I planned on building my own station and set up and had a budget in the $5-7k range for the island and equipment, went in to this place to check things out and not only did they have a customizable one that had very good craftsmanship, it easily beat my budget so it was a no brainer. These guys were great and have already recommended to a couple co-workers. I ordered a Pizza Oven and Barbeque + the island and it works amazing. These guys are awesome until the check clears. Then you can forget about "customer service". We had purchased a $3000 small BBQ island. First of all the BBQ is beautiful and looks great before installation. Once installed the BBQ was completely over scaled for the size of my backyard as well as not leveled. Put it to you like this, the grill was up to my chest and I'm 5'5"... So this was a week ago today, I immediately called them the next day with my concerns. After I called several times and left multiple messages I did receive a call back saying "we'll get back to you" I spoke to JAMES who told me to "wear 6" heels so I can use the grill" hmm that's nice. ... Initially took it as a joke, but now I realize after a week of no returned calls they aren't coming back. I had to pay a demolition concrete company to have them break up the bricks in my patio and actually have the BBQ lowered into it. Cost me an additional $500. In conclusion, hopefully you'll see this yelp and make a different decision than I did. Karma will come back around! read more

However, I was very impressed with the information given to me by James regarding everything from the brand of BBQ grill, the brands of refrigerators, the size, etc. James was very thorough and never pushy. This place has awful customer service!!! We ordered our built in BBQ and that went smoothly, however after that it went down hill. They said it would be done in four weeks. After the four weeks were up we never received a phone call from the place. We called them and they said it would be ready in a week. Another week passes and we have to call back again. They set up a time for delivery. On the delivery day we wait and wait and no one shows up. So, once again we call and apparently they mixed up the delivery days with someone with the same last name. So, they can't come for another couple of days! Finally it is delivered and the product itself is good, but they can't hook up the BBQ lines. Who sells barbecues and doesn't install too? But, that wasn't too big of an issue. We hooked it up and the led lights under the island turn on and off without being put on and one of the bottom line of the chairs is missing a piece. We call again and they said they would call us back.... A week later they call and say someone will be out on Friday between 10-12pm. Guess what no one shows up! Call again a day we are told they got stuck in a job and would not be ok of they came later in day. Sure no problem. They were supposed to come over between 4-5pm. No one showed up!! My husband the spends 20 plus minutes on hold to find out where the person was but got hung on. Now that is after 6pm they stopped answering the phone!! Don't ever do business with these people. Spending over $7600 on a product you would think they would have better customer service!! read more

We bought an outdoor kitchen from James last May and are very happy with the finished product. His prices were goos and his advise sound. We had a few issues during installation but James sent an installer back to our house who spent almost 8 hours correcting the tile installation issues and small problems and told us not to pay him the 1/2 balance we owed until; we were satisfied. Then we had an installation issue with the Twin Eagles BBQ week one and James sent out his Twin eagles rep to us at no charge to fix the problem.
