Had my annual eye exam at the clinic and it was smooth and a very pleasant visit. All eye tests ran pretty smoothly, explanations before each helped to really understand how the staff was checking the eye health. Additionally, the doctor again explained the tests results later in details which added another layer of confidence and satisfaction to this visit. Finally, the final staff member came in to talk in detail about the prescription and frames + lenses, very transparent and helpful overall. Me and spouse visited them for our eye exam and getting new glasses, I don't think I am going to visit them again : 1. We went during time when we were not getting vaccinated, but only the health care worker. One of the worker there was hardly wearing proper mask as it was constantly getting below her nose, and also the Dr. was closing the door making the area less ventilated. I felt very scared due to this. 2. We in total ordered 4 pair of glasses, and they did not even gave a single bottle of cleaning liquid. When i asked for one, they asked for $5. 3. During ordering they had taken various measurement so I was hopeful they would fit good, but the glass does not fit proper at all, to the degree that most of the time I end up wearing my old glasses. I had told them and they even asked me to sign waiver that further adjustment might break the frame and they seemed least interested in fixing the issue. read more

Dr. Oh is the best eye doctor around here for Ortho-K therapy. She's incredibly nice, professional, and genuinely cares for her patients. Throughout the time I've been seeing her (She's been my eye doctor from elementary school thru middle school, and when I moved back here a few years ago I came back to see Dr. Oh), she always clearly explains the state of my eyesight, and always answers any questions I have regarding eye care and health. I've been seeing her since I was in elementary school, and thanks to her expertise, my eyes are still 20/20 without any sort of corrective contact lenses or glasses during the day. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an eye doctor, or looking to try Ortho-K therapy to correct their vision. read more

Friend got a last minute appointment at 4:30 PM and the staff enforced COVID-19 precautionary practices from arrival to departure. They was very helpful in frame selection and did not rush my friend into a decision, despite the late appt. All frames tried on were placed in bin for sanitation/disinfection afterwards and no other customers were in the store during our scheduled slot. The doctor was very personable, attentive and thorough during the exam. She offered explanations along the way, and encouraged questions. Optometrist as friendly and energetic despite getting us in later in the day. There was no compromise in customer service due to late scheduling which was greatly appreciated. read more

Wonderful, friendly, quick and to the point. 2nd year here and this go around they got the Pink Floyd retina scanner thingy that is cool. They take a photo of your eye then show you on their computer all parts of your eye(looks like an alien planet" Very courteous and I was in and out. PASS. Dr. Ngo isn't here anymore. They say hindsight is 20/20, and thanks to Dr. Christine Ngo my vision is as close as it can get to it. This optometry is weirdly located within an asian (mostly Korean methinks) shopping complex. I like that I can keep myself busy with sweets from Paris Baguette, grab a bite from one of the many Korean food vendors at the food court, or grab a lotion from the Face Shop should a wait occur. I didn't have a wait for Dr. Ngo, so they had to wait after the appointment. My visit with her was informative, quick, and pleasant. They sell designer frames (Gucci, Chanel, etc.) and even prescription circle contacts (remember Lady Gaga?). If you've got VSP, they take that here too. read more

The Dr. is wonderful here, but the manager has an attitude, similar to what other customers mentioned. Had been seeing the Doctor for almost 10 years. We wanted a larger frame for our daughter, as I expect the frame to last for 2-3 years, which anyway should not be her concern. I am going to call VSP to report her unruly behavior and also to BBB. This place use to have some very good people, and I can understand why they chose to leave. Not going back until they apologize for this mistake and get rid of this manager. Replying to comment from Kate: Firstly, you have a very few selection so was asked to look on your screen for frame selections, secondly the size recommendation was from the office staff that helped and agreed to the size that fits. Lastly, as a parent we chose the frame we want, and you should keep that suggestion to yourself and stop accusing customers. Reply to second post- I am not sure what are you referring to? We took an appointment almost a month ago for Monday at 3 pm. The appointment time was confirmed and we also received a reminder call. We arrived before time and there was no issue with the checkup, the issue the manager raised is on frame selection, there maybe some misunderstanding on your part as to who said what, clearly we are asked to select a frame from your online selection and we obliged. I am not sure how else we would've tried it on if the frame selection is online. Obviously the office staff doesn't respect customers and accuse of wrongdoing when in fact these accusations are false and the staff has no right to interfere with our selection. I had an annual eye exam plus contact lenses fitting with Dr. Justina Cho. She was very patient, professional, and she made sure I was happy with the contact lenses. I actually went back 2 other times to adjust my fitting, but she's been super nice and helpful each time. In the end I didn't purchase contact lenses with them because of better pricing elsewhere but I'm glad they didn't try to pressure me to order with them. Had an eye exam there then bought a pair of computer glasses. The staffs' attitude is OK, the doctor was nice and patient, some exam apparatus was malfunction, I ended up repeat the procedure twice. However, the computer glasses I got is barely better than my existing $12 glasses bough from Amazon, and they charged my $100+ out of pocket ($150 was covered by my plan), feel they just ripped me off. The doctor was very friendly and I applaud her for her expertise. However, the staff was quite unpleasant and extremely unprofessional--whether it was how they handled the patients or just their display of poor attitude. When asked for clarification about pricing for contact fittings due to confusion on insurance, the staff worker was rude, impatient, and gave negative body language. I was promised to have my contacts delivered within 3-5 business days but did not receive them. I called the office, left a voice message, and emailed them, only to have a stale response via email one week later. My contacts came 16 days late which has never happened in my 8 years of receiving contacts. Though my experience with the doctor was quite positive, I was disappointed at the unfriendly staff and lack of professionalism. I will not be coming here again. read more

I am trying to get OrthoK for my son. I did OrthoK consultation, eye exam and prescription glasses with Dr. Oh. I didn't choose to do OrthoK with her. Her price was way much higher than other places. She even charged for $150 for 2 of the exams not covered by insurance. Later, when I went to other places for consultation, those test are FREE! I felt so ripped off. It was an okay experience for eye exam and prescription glasses. The technician was not very experienced, it took quite a while to get the exams done on 4 equipment. When I picked up the glasses, they told me to make an appointment for fitting and adjustment. So I did 2 trips for the glasses - 1 for pick up, 1 for adjustment. However, at our adjustment appointment, there were a few walk-ins. read more

I was dreading it, but I was pleasantly surprised. A family friend recommended this place since I was in town. I've been a patient of Dr. Oh's for many years, even before she opened this location. I have had a great experience with the Ortho-K contact lenses, which I wore overnight for some 11 years and enjoyed good vision in the day without wearing any contacts or glasses (great for swimming, going to the beach, running, other outdoor activities...). This shop is located inside the Lawrence plaza in a very convenient location next to a large (and delicious) food court and Paris Baguette (love love love!). The staff is really nice and friendly and the selection of frames is really nice. If you have high-end tastes, this is definitely the place for you. :) I definitely would recommend my more style-conscious friends to come here, and also those interested in the Ortho-K contact lenses. read more

Generally, I don't like visiting the optometrist office, and I definitely am not a fan of writing extensive online reviews. (This is my first yelp review. I guess that means my review is apparently unreliable and invalid, but you gotta start somewhere right?) However, my recent experience at Eye Boutique Optometry has convinced me to break my own rules, because the service I received from Dr. Noorie Dong on my Saturday afternoon appointment was exceptional, informative, and most importantly, quick. Here's the bottom line: 1. The office atmosphere is sleek, clean, and quiet. 2. The exam was efficient and effective. 3. I cannot evaluate all the doctors on staff, but Dr. NOORIE DONG, who examined me, and the head doctor, Dr. SOMI OH, are the most professional, comforting, entertaining, and non-intimidating optometrists I have ever run across. They are genuine people that know how to get the job done without annoying you, OR without trying to sell you anything you don't need during the process of the exam. I have elderly parents with poor eyesight. I'm not going to take them to some mass chain optometrist office, come on man really??.. I'm taking them to Eye Boutique. I'm not taking my kids to sears or lenscrafters or walmart or something. I'm taking them to Eye Boutique. I expect professionalism, is that too much to ask? In the South Bay, this is where I'm going to get it. Lastly, when I'm done with the necessary exam, it doesn't hurt that I can step outside, grab some Korean food for lunch at the food court, meet a friend over shaved ice at Snow Ice, and buy a sweet potato cake to take back home from Paris Baguette.
