The blinds in the bedroom were chewed by my dog a bit. I asked the owner if I could remove the items he said no and I was on a group thread with danielle and I was able to go remove some items. Screen door was mine so I took it off. He was trying to charge me 300 for a replacement that cost 150 at Home Depot $300 to remove the bamboo and string lights in the backyard that I removed in two minutes and the bidet I was charged $95 for not removing. Applying she charged me $300 for and I sent him the exact measurements of the same ones at Home Depot that were $35 Again, Danielle is great unfortunately the owner of the building really gouge me .

V mentioned that the scent of cleaning products was too strong, but we explained that we prioritize sanitization between each guest to ensure a safe and clean environment. This has never been an issue for previous guests. Additionally, she mentioned construction next door. We personally checked the property earlier in the day, and there was no active construction at the time. While it's possible the neighbors were doing light work, there was no disruption during her stay. Despite our best efforts to accommodate V and address her concerns, she continued to insist on a full refund and threatened a bad review. We ultimately had to reach out to Airbnb for assistance due to the ongoing threats. We always strive to provide a positive experience for our guests and are sorry that this stay did not meet her expectations.

However, with that being said, Westland and the staff I worked with when renting in West LA were beyond helpful. When I moved in, my dishwasher backed up, and I immediately called Westland. They had a plumber out the next day, and when it wasn't repairable they had a new one in two days later - it was really faster and easier than I would have thought. I also appreciated the flexibility with my needs and how I was treated as a person rather than just another tenant. Westland (and Doris specifically), made my move to Los Angeles that much easier by helping me find a home right away for me and my cat. On the note of my cat - whenever they had to do building or maintenance inspections (which wasn't often but happened twice or three times), the voicemail always said the maintenance men have been told about my cat, and would be sure to shut the doors right away. This company is what wrong with the housing market and what will cause the next house crisis, they are bullies. I'm 37 years old. In almost 20 years of renting in LA, I've never been asked for tax returns -- not even when I bought a property. This is ridiculous. Extremely rude, invasive, and discriminatory. I want to…read moremention some of the issues that one should look for prior to moving into the community. - The apartments here have severe moisture/mold & rust issues, which means that the windows and walls drip for no reason ( rains/no rains). Please make sure you look for signs behind white-washed walls. I was very frustrated with this issue during my stay as there was no fix and we had to leave our windows open in the dead of winter. - Upstairs noise nuisance- While this might not be the case in every apartment. Our upstairs neighbors would refuse to sleep until 4 am and was every tenant's worst nightmare. - Double-check before placing your security deposit - I had a conflict with the management for charging unnecessary utilities. The water charges in this community are insane. It was a monthly dilemma to pay the high utilities when your personal usage is close to nil. While I did not receive any response in my favor and was helpless for the crazy amount they withheld. I want to make sure you do not trust the management easily with your money & make sure you take all the documentation with you before moving. Would highly recommend getting it cleaned yourself to give another opportunity to the community to charge you $195 in cleaning and more. Apart from these issues, the community was safe & in close proximity to all utilities. I was very upset over the management's behavior during emergency maintenance when helplines would not work & when questioned about charges- they would call out any month of any year and make you pay by hook or crook.
