I got a blueberry early grey and wanted to put it in the small box that they provide. The lady who worked there refused to give me a box unless I chose a peanut butter flavor or bought six. I've been searching for the best gluten free donuts and I saw the reviews so I ended up buying practically almost all of the flavors just to taste and compare. It's more cake than donut texture for me. I enjoyed the olive oil blueberry fonut the best - maybe because it wasn't the sweetest and I prefer my donuts to be mildly sweetened. The overly sweetened glaze don't really appeal with my palette. The second best flavor was the churro. My kids especially liked this flavor the best! I really appreciate that all their donuts are now gluten-free. As someone with Celiac, any place claiming to have gluten-free and regular pastries is a red flag for me. After a Celiac diagnosis years ago, I've tried a couple of really shitty gluten-free donuts - some donut places offer a gluten free option and it's always a "plain" donut and it's usually stale and terrible. I'm not too embarrassed to admit I actually cried eating my first Fonut. They have multiple flavors and everything I've had has been great (although I'm partial to the Churro one). Being forced to go gluten free as an adult (when you know how delicious regular food tastes) really sucks, and it was weirdly powerful to walk into a baked goods shop where I could eat everything again. If you like cake-style donuts, you'll like these. If you hate that style donut and opt for a more Krispy Kreme style, you may be disappointed. A friend of mine sent me a Fonuts home kit as a gift, which came with a mix and a pan and all of that, which was really fun, and they came out well at home also! Strongly recommend if you have a dietary restriction, and recommend even MORE strongly to get a box as a gift for someone in your life that does. read more

Meh. I gut the blueberry olive oil, churro. The olive oil one is good. Soft. Course texture, lightly sweet. Churro is simply the same grainy textured dough w churro on top minus blueberry flavor. Pretty average but tasty. Not the kind of donut that ill crave or go out of my way for and TBH being fit means these calories better be ultra worth it. I give it a 7/10 read more

It's been years probably since I've been to the 3rd St. location but I soon recognized the name when they sprouted up near Alfred and Joan's on Third here in Studio City. I had just picked up a gibraltar from Alfred so I figured I'd drop in and it was 100% WORTH IT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Pure GF love here. We got the strawberry, raspberry, maple, chocolate, and blueberry earl gray doughnuts. By far the maple was the most delicious in my opinion. A little sweeter than the rest but not too sweet. We were the most excited about the blueberry earl gray but were a bit disappointed. There was not even a hint of earl gray in the flavor. Amazing!! Finding gluten free and vegan desserts can be difficult as most places only offer something that's vegan or gluten free, not both. I have not had a donut since finding out I had a wheat allergy so I was really excited to try this place out. There were so many options to choose from! Sweet, fruity, or chocolatey. All their donuts are gluten free and when I went the majority were also vegan. I ended up going with their churro, vanilla, and black & white flavor. These are not fried, but a baked cake-like donut and more dense. The churro was so good! Perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar flavor. I ate this one as soon as I got home. The black & white was similar to a New York black and white cookie. I ate this one the next day and unfortunately the icing was stuck to the wrapper as each of my donuts was individually wrapped and I left it on my counter. I was a little bummed about this but it was yummy anyway. Due to this, I put my last donut in the fridge and it helped the icing stay on better when unwrapping. I first came here with a friend who has celiac. I am not GF but I'm always very curious about how foods like this stand up to their gluten filled competitors. Super pricey (4.50 for 1 small donut, $51 for a dozen!!!!! What?!) Also, they weren't very good. We had the earl gray raspberry and the churro. The consistency was a bit off, very crumble but alright it's not flour. The flavor started pretty good but got worse as you went. If you can't eat gluten it's probably worth a try, but I wouldn't buy this again. Too bad. I love donut shops, especially the NYC ones, and was hoping this would be a designer donut more like theirs. Also, seen a few people ask about calories on here and while they don't list them, there's a reason. They tasted almost oily even though they're baked and it's highly unlikely that they are lower calorie (certainly not lower enough to matter) than a regular donut.
