Hunting around OKC for a place to grab a quick bite and avoid the rush hour traffic and I stumbled…read moreupon this place. Kind of threw me through a loop when I realized it was located in what appeared to be like a dining hall. The food however, was fantastic. Got the patty melt which is recommended by staff. Packed with flavor and met every staple a good patty melt should have. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be swinging by this place again

I'm a fan of patty melts, but this one left me feeling underwhelmed. Patty melts typically use rye…read morebread and a thin, almost smash burger patty to achieve that grilled cheese/hamburger crossover. However, this patty melt used sourdough bread, which I'm a fan of, but the bread-to-patty ratio was off. They used the same frozen 1/3-pound patties for every burger, resulting in a huge amount of bread, a frozen grilled patty, and every bite feeling greasy and dirty. (They say fresh daily patties... I'm not sure what that means, fresh cooked from frozen? Fresh frozen delivered? Fresh inspired...I just saw frozen pucks thrown on a grill so....) Perhaps my expectations were too high, but honestly, it's just a burger on thick sourdough labeled "Patty Melt." I wouldn't go back, but the location is cool, and there are other places to try, so there's probably something for everyone.

We found only a brunch menu until 4. So about only option that wasn't breakfast type was fried pickles and one hamburger. Yelp, ordered them and hamburger was pretty good. I really wish now we had waited for dinner. We did get to watch line dance lessons while we ate today. This place is set up to hold larger groups to dine and party together. The major neg was the flies! Lots of flies! Not even any of the garage doors open ? They have lots of outdoor seating too. Huge bar inside goes all the way around the oval bar station. Room to back has several pool tables and of course the riding bull. Rugged place good for drinking, entertainment nights. Love to come back on a Tuesday evening for karaoke.

The rolls look dense and heavy but they're surprisingly light and sweet. Mac and cheese gives a 'queso' vibe which is addictive. Okra is hand breaded. The steak was ok. Honestly not a fan of the jalapeño glaze so even in the side it was a bit hot. If the steak was seasoned, it was bleak because the meat was extremely bland. But it was hot and fresh and Mikayla, our server, took the best care of us!! We will be back! Wifey tip- the drinks look impressive! Everyone around us was partaking. Yummy!

A New #1 Burger in OKC!…read more Our Burger Passport adventure brought us to Spark at Scissortail Park, and I think I may have found my new favorite burger in Oklahoma City! This was our first visit, and from the moment we took our first bite, I couldn't stop telling my wife how incredible these burgers were. I ordered the BLC Burger topped with pimento cheese, bacon, a crispy cheddar crust, pickles, and Prairie Ranch. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the crispy cheddar crust took it over the top. Outstanding! My wife, Lori, ordered the Spark Burger, swapping the American cheese for cheddar. She absolutely loved it, especially the fresh dill pickles that added the perfect crunch and flavor. The crinkle-cut fries deserve a shout-out, too. They were cooked just the way I like them--nice and crispy. I ordered the signature Pink Sauce on the side, and the garlic aioli was excellent. Before we left, I asked to speak with a manager--not because there was a problem, but because I wanted to compliment the team. Marisol was genuinely excited to hear how much we enjoyed our meal. She also told us about their limited-time Chicken Salad Sandwich, available through the end of the summer, and after this experience, I think we'll definitely be back to give it a try. Spark checks every box for me: outstanding burgers, perfectly cooked fries, a fun atmosphere, and a friendly, welcoming staff. If you're looking for one of the best burgers in Oklahoma City, put Spark on your list. This one earns an easy 5 stars from me.

We also opted for a nearby restaurant or food trucks. Until we finally walked in and gave it a shot. Now I'm a little upset we took so long to do it! I got the Park Power Bowl - quinoa, sweet potatoes, avocado hummus, roasted chickpeas, candied jalapeños, almonds, and a little more. The candied jalapeños were the best part, but the whole bowl was amazing! And it was huge! I only at half and took the rest home. The kids got an uncrustable and the chicken bites and shared some fries - pretty standard, exactly what you expect. But my husband got a burger. For the life of me can't remember which one now, but he was so surprised with how good it was that he ordered a second to take home with us. I surprised the kids with a seasonal Lemon Pound Cake shake to share for dessert. I'm not a huge fan of milkshakes, but it was tempting to get a second just so I didn't have to share this with the kids! I don't know if it was the Lemon Pound Cake in there or if they secretly added some crack, but our straw was slurping the very bottom just from the time it left the counter and made it outside to the sidewalk walk. I will forever try any new food trucks that come around, but on days they aren't at scissor tail but I am, Spark will have my business now.
