I have never been so grossed out in my life. We walked in to a coffee house that was full of smoke - something must have happened in the kitchen. She took our order - coffee and two orders of toast (one was avocado and one was jam/butter). She said the food would take some time---obviously from the smoke coming from the kitchen something was wrong. No big deal - we sat in a couple chairs in the corner and waited. Place had people in it, seemed like they were all content. But then i started to really look around. Dust everywhere. The lights hanging from the ceiling were covered in it. Cobwebs all over windows. Tables dirty. Chairs/couches so old and worn out, dirty. Fruit flies started flying around us. Our coffee arrived and it was good so I tried to overlook the other stuff. Tried to be "chill" like the rest of the people in the place. Toast orders came out. I ordered mine without sun-dried tomatoes (avocado toast) - it arrived loaded with sun-dried tomatoes. Husband ordered toast with Jam/butter. She dropped it off and ran away so fast that she didn't hear us ask for a knife to actually spread it. I started eating and the fruit flies came in like am army. One stuck to my toast and I was dunzo. He saw the look on my face and said, "let's go". Walked our plates to the dish bin and flies infested the area. Garbage overflowing. It was absolutely disgusting in there. Do not go. Hire a cleaner! read more

Cute looking and busy spot right off the canal, so we had high expectations. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and an iced coffee for to-go at 10:45am and did not receive our food until 12pm. Truly horrible experience to wait over an hour for a to-go order! Granted it was a Sunday, but still extremely concerning. My iced coffee completely melted as I waited for my food. I was really disappointed in the operations and would not come back. The sandwiches were decent, but my experienced was greatly soured by the nightmare of a wait. We wish they had a little more variety on their breakfast menu but their Veggie B Fast sandwich is our go-to! The coffee is always good as is the service. Really enjoyed the food and coffee here. It is slower service but I believe that's because everything is done to order, from scratch. Been here numerous times and always love what we've ordered. I just wish they had better outdoor seating. If this place had the location that Lulu's is in that would be amazing (especially since the service at FairPour is exceedingly better than at Lulu's!). Ahhh the sister of the infamous Pour coffee parlor. Came across this spot after finishing a day at work, and I was so happy I did. The coffee shop sits right next to the canal a little hidden if you try to find it from the street side. Personally, I liked the design of this place more than the original Pour. It resembled every cute cafe that you'd find in good ol' NYC. And I'm a HUGE sucker for the city so obviously I was giddy from the get go. The prices and selections were the same as it is at Pour. The service was just as good too, still upbeat, welcoming and very engaging. Loved that the most! read more

Good coffee. Yes, pour over takes a bit but you have to understand what type of place you're walking into - who doesn't get that. They also have drip coffee. A nice room to meet friends or have a meeting. The guy behind the counter (maybe the owner) is great. The hipster chick that works there, couldn't care less if you were there but she just may have engineering brain or maybe she's miserable but who cares. A great place. read more

Biggest waste of $17... my latte took ten minutes and was served Luke warm. My pressed panini took 45 minutes (after asking twice where it was) and was not even warmed up. I visited the day after Christmas, i get that's a busy day but I'm certain I'll never give this place another try. read more

I understand that this is under new ownership and was previously called something else. This was my first visit to this location and can't compare to the last owners. What I can tell you is that the staff was extremely helpful and cheery. I was bit of a pain because I needed to read the ingredients of a mix they had, but the owner was happy to oblige. My sister and I ordered a matcha latte which was amazing. The matcha was not too astringent, and we had the choice of dairy alternatives. We both chose almond milk. The best part was is it didn't have any simple syrup so you can enjoy your beverage with out a cavity. You could really appreciate the matcha flavor. My mother ordred a drip de cafe coffee and a blueberry crepe that looked pretty incredible. She was thrilled with her order and thought everything was fantastic. The interior is a tad blah, but I'm not sure how new it is. It needs some art pieces on the walls or something to snazz up the decor a bit. The take away is that it's clean, intimate, the staff is wonderful, and I will be going back again. read more

i ordered my food with a girl who was a little too in my face with what they didn't have...which was half the menu! my boyfriend and i sat down and waited over half an hour for TWO wraps!!! other orders came out way before ours and even got up after eating while we still had not gotten our food. when i asked how much longer i got a snarky response by the same girl " oh, i know!". needless to say i will not be coming back and the food is not worth the return or the prices for that matter. don't recommend coming here!!!! i would also like to add that my food didn't even come out made correctly and had a while item missing from it. worst place i've eaten in fairport. read more

OK, I understand most people do not really know what a good crepe is so their point of reference may not be the same as my family or anyone who has traveled outside the US. First, we went in at 7:30 PM on a Tuesday. One man sitting at the espresso bar and two ladies in the corner chatting. They close at 8 (we didn't know this until we arrived) and could sense the young woman behind the counter was less than pleased with our "late" arrival. I get that. Have worked in the restaurant business myself and had we arrived at 7:50 and learned they closed at 8 we would have left. We came for crepes as we were excited to learn that the new cafe had a crepe griddle and maybe, just maybe, the staff was trained on how to make a proper crepe...? Yeah...wishful thinking. Hands down the WORST crepes in town. We asked for well done because it is not uncommon for places in smaller towns in the US to undercook their crepes. Crepes should be golden brown. So, despite asking for well done these were so undercooked they were nearly raw. The batter was thick and chewy and pretty much inedible. To the tune of $7 a crepe...!! We watched her make them and noticed she poured the batter, leaving it cooking for a LONG time (first red flag! A crepe griddle should be so hot that it only needs to cook less than a minute each side) but she never even flipped the crepe so the other side never even cooked at all! We are so puzzled. Why would the owner invest in a crepe griddle and have those as only 2 kinds of offerings on the menu (crepes and panini's) but not bother to learn or teach anyone to make them properly? The griddle needs to be HOT, the crepes should be a dark GOLD, not white! Such a shame. It would be SO easy to make good crepes. We spent $14 plus $3 tip and most of the crepes finished in the trash. read more

First time here and we were impressed. Service was quick and friendly. Breakfast sandwiches were delicious, drip coffee was great and the beer selection was small but local. My dad and I love stopping here when we bike on the canal through Fairport! It's located right by the draw bridge making it easy park your bike and stop inside for a quick coffee and refreshment! The drinks are a bit expensive but the atmosphere is quaint and nice for enjoying a coffee with family or friends. As I went to cut into a piece of prosciutto in avocado toast, I discovered a two inch black curly hair under and over the layered toppings. Gross. (and in case there's any question, this was absolutely not my hair). I brought the remainder of the dish up to the counter. The staff's response... "Oh sorry." And that's it. This is a very cute well designed space (with beautiful lighting in a sunny day) in the heart of the Village. If I was a tea or coffee drinker I would be in more often. Hubby and I stopped in hoping for hot chocolate and were momentarily disappointed when we didn't see it anywhere in the massive chalkboards. It's a little confusing, but there were some supplemental menus on the counter and that's where we spotted the sea salt hot chocolate. I am typically very pleased with the service at Fairpour - but recently have been experiencing various issues regarding to service. This particular experience was enough to never recommend food from this establishment again. When ordering a standard Crepe Breakfast, I asked if I was able to substitute the breakfast sausage for Turkey. I was told that it would be no problem, and was warned that there would be a few minutes before it would be made due to other crepe orders in front of mine. I waited 28 minutes and finally the crepe was brought out, with sausage. I went up and mentioned that I ordered turkey, not sausage, and they took the plate and said that they'd make it again. Minutes later, two workers were talking about how ridiculous it is that "whoever ordered the breakfast crepe is making us make it again because the whole thing wasn't wrong, just the meat" in front of me. I am disgusted in the quality of service at Fairpour, especially considering that the menu is by no means cheap. From initially ordering my crepe, the wait to receive my food was 50 minutes. I will never purchase food from this establishment again, as there were no actions taken to rectify the situation. When mentioning how long the wait was, their response was "we're human," which is NOT an appropriate response for any food establishment. They also claimed that it's been "hectic," while the tables are not even at half capacity, and only one other table had ordered food. There were FOUR people working during this time, one was the owner, and one was on their phone, with another working on a college assignment while working. I have worked in the food service industry for many years and never have I experienced such poor customer service. read more

We go here all the time and their coffee is hands down the best in the area. Breakfast sandwiches are great, Fairport is lucky to have Fairpour. They recently revamped their menu and added more food options. They have plenty of seating by huge windows in a bright and airy space. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about, we have been here almost weekly for the past year and never had an issue with service, food or drinks which was were all spot on. I needed an espresso. I was in the village. Thusly: I decided to give this place a try. The atmosphere is friendly, and fairly simple. Hanging lights, various tables and a couch fail to give it an aesthetic that is unique, but are sufficient and somewhat charming. I ordered the harvest spice latte, because I'm a sucker for the so-called "fall flavors". All the coffee prices were tax-included whole numbers, which is nice for a cash-paying youngster like me. They gave it to me as a cup-within-a-cup instead of a cardboard sleeve, which seemed to work alright. The latte was tasty, sugary, and I was pleased with my purchase; it was, however, nothing in the realm of particularly special or unique, especially when compared with the places in downtown Rochester. Five dollars was a high price to pay for what I got. Keeping that all in mind, I still think it's a good place to go, especially because I haven't tried their food yet. Once I do I'll have a better picture. For Fairport village I think FairPour is worth it. read more
