This is a cozy place to spend a winter afternoon or evening. It's nice to have an establishment dedicated to cider when there are so many breweries around. I also hope that it sticks around after other breweries in the area have closed recently (RIP Oskar Blues, Circle Brewery, etc.) There is a food truck outside, Spicy Boys Chicken, that specializes in Korean Chicken. The menu is limited but I did find everything that we ordered to be very tasty. Back in the cidery, I loved that they had a wide variety of options to choose from including NA drinks, zero sugar drinks and other ones as well. It seemed like there was something for everyone. On Thursdays they host Geeks Who Drink Trivia which is pretty fun to participate in with a group. If you've played their version of trivia before, you'll know that its pretty entertaining even if you don't have the most trivia-inclined groups. Great cider options, vibes, and service! When we visited, the spicy boys food truck was parked here so we were able to enjoy amazing food and great cider at this really cute spot. They just came out with new Agua Fresca's that we got to try and I can't wait to buy a four-pack the next time we have a pool outing. There is a cider for everyone. It's very laid back, intimate, and relaxing with its clean aesthetic. Down in South Atx, we have Texas Keeper (awesome cidery, very different fireflies-on-the-porch and farmside vibes), so it was nice to see a completely different cidery with literally garage-space, elevated, and hipster vibes. We both got cider flights, and loved the diversity of selections. Their ciders are all hilariously named (Fuccboisen is my favorite...I should've ordered that). I enjoyed their Smell the Van and EZ Tea (it truly tastes like tea!). The EZ tea was so delicious. Quenches thirst, subtle, and very honey-like. Their ciders aren't sickeningly sweet, and the flights give you a great little taste of all of the ciders that you're curious about but are unsure about getting a whole pint of. Their inventory has a clean design too. Their tees are super adorable, as well as their BEVERAGES sweaters. Tempting. Service was wonderful. Our cider taptender was a wonderful man who was very sweet, knowledgeable and welcoming. The space is small, so it's not recommended you come here with a huge group (unless you plan on taking up the entire space. After having driven past this Cidery for years, my wife and I finally stopped in two Sundays ago. There is a ton of space inside, a ping pong table, and a coffee shop. Additional bonus, the Spicy Boys food truck is just out front. While there my wife and I tried three different ciders. The Cydersport was our favorite, very light, dry and refreshing. But, after some friends who are also beerdrinkers suggested this place and that it wasn't your typically overly-sweet cider (which is what I have the aversion to) suggested this place, I decided "why not?". The vibe here is super chill and the cider-barista was super nice and everyone there chimed in when I asked about the diff ciders they were offering. So I will say, while I am still not on the cider bandwagon (I mean beer will always be my first love), the ciders here were actually drinkable! First ACTUALLY dry cider I have had while in Texas. Please do yourself a favor and visit this tap room. It all started with a long wait for barbecue and a guy wearing a cidery shirt/hat. A quick google search later I dragged my family to this tap room so I could get a cider fix (having spent five years in the PNW it is a tough itch to scratch here in TX). The bartender/coowner was extremely friendly and ready to answer all questions. He was adorable and alone was reason enough for a follow up visit. My sister and I had a flight of their four ciders on tap. Currently: Common: base for all other cider, ACTUALLY DRY. In lurv Tejano dreams: green chile cider, bomb af. Strong pepper aroma and beautiful subtle Chile flavor. Nelson sauvin (I think).... very strong hop flavor forward with sweet cider finish. A good balance for people seeking hop flavor while trying to expand to cider. huell melon: hop flavor is SO subtle that it almost tastes like sour fruit flavor. I LOVED this cider. I really love Fairweather's concept and having a new addition to Metric Row that isn't another brewery! (Love to y'all breweries, though.) I came here the day after opening day with a few friends who love cider (I'm indifferent) to try out their brews. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! We each ordered a flight of their four ciders on tap. One was the Common, which is the base for all their ciders. Another was one of my favorites even though it involved a little heat from some peppers! The last two were hopped ciders, and the bartender/co-owner told us if we tried them first in different orders, we may like one over the other. He was right, both both were delightful. I want to give a five-star review to support a new business, but my only tiny complaint would be the fruit flies. Some kept buzzing about here and there, but you can only imagine they want to get a taste of this dry cider sweetness! If you're a beer person like me, you may have found a new hangout for your friends who don't love beer as much as you. If you like dry ciders, this place is for you. The Tejano Dreams is my favorite. They also have wine if you are not into cider. Place is a little small. You can get a flight or by the glass. If you are usually a beer drinker or new to ciders, they will definitely let you try a few so you can find your favorite. If you are hungry, there are usually food trucks at 4th tap and they let you bring food in. It is not officially dog friendly but sometimes they have a table outside when the garage is open. read more

So many good things to say. I first and foremost am not a cider guy. Came in here on a referral from a friend and was surprisingly impressed with the operation. The cider was good they had some crisp ciders that came off more like a beer if that's what you need. My favorite was the blood orange or the pear. Still a toss up between the two. Also this place has some crazy good wines. They are cheap for a much better quality compared to the ones you get in most stores. They had football running great AC for that Texas heat. Best of all they allow dogs! When I came in my novice skills when drinking wine and ciders were put aside by the owner who gave me a great understanding and tour of his selections. The staff are all super friendly too! There are no downsides to this place. Except for the hangovers. (Mostly self inflicted) I recommend Sundays. For your visit. There is a cool little coffee shop inside too. Nervous Charlie's was serving up brunch. Soo many good combinations outside of your regular mimosa routine. Do yourself a favor. This taproom has a very minimalistic and industrial aesthetic that makes it a perfect place to catch up with a friend. It's quite small, but there was ample seating when I was there. Their cider is different from most of the dry ones I've had before - my favorite was the common with citrus-y flavors. The Apple flavor wasn't as strong as I was expecting (or used to with other ciders), and maybe that's just the case with a "true" dry cider. Only minor downside worth noting is the parking lot is very small but there is street parking available. At my first visit I tried the flight so I could taste them all, and each one was better than the last! My favorite is the Tejano Dreams which is their ancho chili cider. Fairweather was a surprise find for me thanks to the wise owner of Sunrise Mini Mart. That guy knows SO much about all different types of distilled liquids, I wish I had a brain that could store that much knowledge. I digress, this review is about the awesome family who started Fairweather (super friendly and knowledgeable). I bought their cans of Common and was blown away. Cideries claim to have dry cider all the time, but it's not TRULY dry. Common though was legit. These guys are making a truly BONE DRY English style cider from apples sourced from the PNW. It's not perfect yet, but you can taste the potential. It reminds me of Shacksbury. The fun artwork on the can intrigued me to go check out this spot that was just a few minutes drive away. The tasting room is TINY! Start small and dream big! Kuddos to them for turning a cold warehouse space into a fun modern hipster community watering hole. On a Friday night, get here early to even find a spot to sit! I arrived around 5:30pm and sat at a high table outside and had no line. By 7pm, people were crowded elbow to elbow, with a long line. There also is very limited parking. Be prepared to take time to find a spot and walk. When they state they are pet friendly they mean it. Not only was my furry friend chilling with others, we were soon joined by a parrot! I had a great time. I had come by myself, but ended up having several great conversations with people I had never met before. Truly this place is only months old, and has quickly become a new neighborhood hang out. The ciders are all 6.5%. You can enjoy a flight of 4x4OZ for $10, enjoy a glass, or enjoy a guest cider or something from Austin Winery. I love the local support for other local liquid makers. There is a wide range of ciders to choose from. They have some fun experimental ciders that were not like anything I have tried before. It's hard to choose just four for a flight. Fairwheather cider was definitely a surprise and a hidden gem. It's a very small location but it is in the burnet brewing scene, as it's located right next to 4th tap. Their cider is so amazing with fusions with sweet tea, gin, wine and different fruits, it'll definitely give you a pleasant experience you may not have been expecting. They also have so many more flavor options than what they offer in the store so id go to the cider for more options. Honestly the best cider I've ever had. We popped in here after seeing it on the menu at a local restaurant and we were not disappointed. They have twelve ciders on tap so we got a flight and liked them all! Favorites were the Chinook and Tinto. Would 100% come again. The taproom is airy, bright, and clean. I hate to be the dissenting opinion here, but the cider isn't good. I'm from the part of the country that actually grows apples, I know what cider is supposed to taste like, and this isn't it. I give it two stars because the tasting room is laid back and dog friendly. The employee pouring the night we went was friendly and answered my questions like, where do the apples come from since you can't grown those in Texas (answer: Oregon). Well, he also informed me of the process. The orchard in Oregon makes a juice concentrate that they ship to Fairweather, who then adds water and ferments and adds flavors to it. They don't even press the apples fresh (yuck!). Every "variety" of cider they have is the exact same base, exact same apples, just with a flavor added. And they all basically taste the same. There is nothing complex or unique about this cider. Try a cider from New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, or Washington State where different varieties with in the same brand will mean different apples, fermenting processes, and different flavors.
