with COVID-19 happening, I have been trying various ways of still trying out different foods. Some through order and self pick-up. This time, we tried to use door-dash to get some falafel corner. There are a myriad of ways and this was what we just used today. I was really impressed with the package that came to us. We had ordered a wrap and also a combo plate. Both were very filling and delicious. It was freshly made. We were really impressed that all together it came out to be less than $20. I think next time we may think about getting a salad on the side, as the lettuce, tomato, and other fresh veggies were not as much as I was initially expecting. This was really delicious. I believe there are two of these in Sacramento..one in downtown and one in Natomas.. Halal-llelujah I have found a bomb restaurant that my boyfriend and I literally drive all the way from Davis for this food! In all seriousness it is one of our favorite restaurants to go to! The food is reasonably priced and the portions are large enough to satiate my boyfriend's black hole of a stomach. As he does not eat pork, Falafel Corner is halal and they even offer beef bacon. I'll repeat: BEEF BACON. And I might add that for someone who does eat pork bacon, their beef bacon is almost BETTER. I usually get the beef gyro and my boyfriend gets the plates of food. We're a couple who loves to talk and let me tell you that we sit in silence as we devour our food. Both are veggie filled and loaded with flavor! His plate comes with rice, pita, marinated onions, and hummus. He mostly gets the chicken and we order a side of bacon ($1 a slice). We also always order extra sauces (tzatziki and a spicy sauce). The creamy white tzatziki goes good on everything and that spicy sauce is so tasty but SPICY! You have been forewarned, but if you LOVE spicy, DO IT! My boyfriend eats three little jar fulls and I can barely finish one. This is my go to for fast Mediterranean food. I would say it is better than Halal Guys. I've been here twice already and have enjoyed their chicken gyro and chicken platter. They give you a generous portion size and everything is delicious and filling. The side dishes on the plate such as the rice, salad, tzatziki and hummus perfectly compliment the chicken. The hummus also did not taste as good as before. I did try the buffalo wings, and it was not bad. My sister's Greek salad with gyro meat was very lackluster, and was missing something. Firstly I want to say I love gyros. And I have tried all kinds from several different restaurant. This place was not a winner for me. I ordered 3 beef and lamb gyros with extra tzatziki. The minute I took a bite I knew this wasn't going to end well. The meat had a very strange taste. Not the typical flavorful, gyro meat you crave from a well season gyro. The more bites I took, the more I was turned off. And I was very disappointed that I brought 2 extra gyros home for my elderly parents, who didn't want anymore after one bite. What should I say! I forgot how big the amount of food per order in Falafel Corner. I have ordered two combo plates, one for me and one for my daughter. The amount of food we received was huge! My daughter said OMG! Fortunately, the combo plates were so delicious! Falafel Corner was very busy in the evening. I think they have hundreds of orders to go every night. Some times the customers have to wait for 15-20 minutes for their orders. The workers are super friendly and fast. The dining room is not very big. So time is hard to find a table if you're going to eat there. A lot of parking spaces available behind the restaurants' area. But only a very few parking in front of the restaurant shared by five to six restaurants there. The area is very safe I have no problem walking a little farther! read more

I had a date tonight. It was good. First time with a Turkish one, Lokum. It may have been two dates, but I don't know for sure. My date was surrounded by pistachios and coconuts. Too bad I put it all down the hatch and it's gone. Never to be seen again. See photo. My Turkish delight dessert, lokum, was the best part of my meal. And if you check in on Yelp, you too can have your choice of your dessert - baklava or Turkish delight! The gyro wrap was bountiful with lamb/beef. I didn't enjoy the meat as much as I hoped. Surprisingly, it was more oily and salty than I'd like. My onions and cucumbers weren't the freshest, but the tomato slices and iceberg lettuce were fresh. Pita bread was ok. The service was helpful and patient. The restaurant is popular with seating for about 25 inside and another 10-16 outside (no heaters). But it seems to work out. If you order falafel, be patient. The falafel takes about twice as long as meat. It takes guts to go against the grain and rate 3 stars when nearly everyone is rating 5 stars, but my gut and taste buds plead for my thumbs to be honest. So honesty is what you get. This place is so wonderful! It's affordable, has big portions, and yummy food. I always get either their gyro wrap or gyro Combo plate! I've also had their California burger and added an egg. Everything I've tried has been delicious. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. The combo plate has so much attention to detail and looks so good. The rice has shaves of carrot mixed in so it's really colorful. There's also hummus, pita bread, and salad. The plate is bigger than my face! I always have leftovers after eating here. I was told by the person working at the store they could not issue a refund without me speaking to the owner directly. I was given the wrong order. My girlfriend was given chicken nuggets instead of chicken wings and she did not check the order before she left the store. The chicken nuggets were dry on the inside and mushy on the outside. You can tell them your spice level or ask for their house made spicy red sauce on the sounds as well as some tzatziki sauce if you want to drizzle on more. For $12 the platter is jam packed with a salad, pita, rice, choice of meat or falafel plus hummus. You get a really filling portion for your buck. They have a Badmash burger too which seemed to be all the rage with what some of the other patrons around me were feasting on. There's some dessert options too with baklava and Turkish treats and if I had the room I would have tried those as well. Glad we found this little spot it's family owned. Came here on a Wednesday at 11:15am and I think I was the 1st order of the day. After my friends and I arrived, another customer walked in, and before we knew it, the entire restaurant was PACKED. It gets very crowded at lunch, but they serve quickly! I ordered the chicken platter and gyro platters and they were both delicious. Came with lettuce, onions, rice, hummus, etc. Lots of meat. I personally liked the gyro platter more than the chicken because I felt the chicken was slightly on the drier side, but it still tasted great. I asked for chili sauce and it was SPICY (but good!). Like I said, when I first got there it was completely empty, so the food came out fast and the cashier was helpful in answering some questions.
