First time at Falafel Corner. The staff here are so friendly and helpful on what to order. Told them that it was my first time here and they were so nice, they made up a small sample plate for me to try with there 3 delicious sauces. The owner said the sauces are all homemade... tzatziki, dill and spicy. Falafel Corner is located in a strip mall in Natomas. The restaurant has ample inside and outside seating. Also, it's clean, well lit and has a very welcoming environment. The employees here are so nice and have such great customer service. As you can see from the pictures, I ordered the Gyro Wrap. It was huge and loaded with Gyro. Very flavorful and so yummy! The tzakziki sauce on the Gyro was so delicious! Falafel Corner is just crazy good. This is a wonderful addition to Natomas and would make even the most devoted grid dweller venture to the suburbs. The small restaurant is located in the funky marketplace between Target and Best Buy in Natomas near the Truxel 80 interchange. Parking is decent, and it is a relatively easy detour off the interstate for those looking for something special. The overall look inside is an upscale diner with an open kitchen and counter service. There are a few tables inside and outside, but Falafel does a lot of take out and delivery service through Yelp and other vendors. Eating at home may be a good idea as the sheer amount of food will put even the most hardcore foodie into a wonderful coma. I was not prepared to be blown away by the food. Many places claim to have good Middle Eastern food, but Falafel Corner is on another level. First, the portions are MASSIVE with lots of rice, hummus, and pita. I ordered the combo platter which includes marinated chicken and lamb & beef gyro meat, both finished on the flattop for a nice crunch. Since they have falafel in their name, I ordered a side of three falafel too. The platter was literally overflowing. The gyro meat was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. My chicken was delicious, but did come in a close second to its competitor. Each bite was succulent, juicy, and very tender. The rice is hidden under the meat with a multi-color long grain which was a unique addition. The salad helped cleanse the palette, and the pita helped scoop up everything. You can also skip the meat altogther and focus on the wonderful falafel and hummus instead. My "side" was nearly a complete meal with three enormous falafel and a generous portion of velvety smooth hummus. The falafel are crisp and crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside providing a unique combination of textures. The hummus is delicious and very fresh to compliment everything. You will order too much here and not leave hungry. They also serve certified halal Harris Ranch beef burgers with beef bacon too. Falafel you always pass and never fail. Been to this location many times and personally for me and my coworkers we love this place. Tried it with family too but I think my kids tastebuds are still a little too young. I have tried their Badmash burger (In Indian/Pakistani language it means Naughty) and Chicken Gyro Wrap and they are awesome. Ask for the Hot Sauce and that takes the hotness level through the roof. Ask for white yogurt sauce which will calm things down if you add a little too much of red sauce. Besides many other items items that a typical Mediterranean restaurant offers they also serve Samosas and some Turkish Desserts. The staff is very friendly and wether it's your first or a regular, they will help you if you look confused or have any questions. Their owner is so down to earth and always happy to help. Few weeks ago, he offered us Chai which we was making for himself and his staff. While making the Chai he shared with us the secret of making a perfect cup of Chai, which he learned by observing his grandmother and then he researched on his own and experimented till he was happy with the Outcome. Best falafels! First time here and it didn't disappoint food wise! The dolma was also very delicious and paired well with the sauce. I would suggest to come early for the desserts as they were all out of Turkish delights by the time I got there :(. There is seating outside as well as inside. I wish they have the hot sauce and tahini sauce out in the open on the counter like the ketchup so I can help myself. On the positive side the meat, pita bread & Hummus were excellent. Service was pretty fast and the cashier was nice and prompt. Food was ready in about 5-7 minutes. There's plenty of parking and no traffic jams which that was great. I'ld like to try their gyros next or the burgers and on my next visit will bring my family along. After reading all of the positive reviews about Falafel Corner, we decided to try it for ourselves. We have been seeking Mediterranean food that parallels the delicious food we had in Belgium or the restaurants in Arden Arcade and it has not been easy. Falafel Corner is a small restaurant located in a strip mall in a northern suburb of Sacramento, so it was a drive for us south siders. The service was very friendly and patient despite the large crowd, and the tables and cooking area were fairly clean. Because I am pescatarian, when eating Mediterranean food, I usually have to settle for salad or falafel yet again, but was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the menu where salmon burgers, veggie burgers, and falafel all winked their eyes at me. I chose the falafel platter which had hummus, salad, rice, and falafel with home made tzatziki sauce for $10.99. Shy chose the gyro wrap for $6.99, although she was tempted to get the much touted hamburger. We topped it off with a bottle of Sprite. Our food was ready within about 10 minutes. My dish was large enough that Shy and I shared it. We both agreed that the falafel was a bit dry and flavorful "enough" to finish but not as flavorful as Mediterranean Bakery (Arden-Arcade) in our opinion. The sauce was very good and a welcome addition, as was the home made spicy sauce which packs a punch! The hummus was very good. I gave my plate 3.5 stars. Shy raved about the deliciousness and moisture of her beef-lamb gyro although she noticed that they had pre-sliced it and did not get it directly from the spitfire. She gave it 4 stars. First off, the food here is the real deal. Its delicious, the falafels taste of fresh herbs and spices, the gyros have a smokey and tender bite, and the baklava drizzled with honey has a lingering sweetness from the pistachios laced between the layers of thin sheeted filo dough. I was in the area for a work meeting and was looking for a new food joint to visit. So I found this place and decided to check it out. Yelp reviews were pretty positive and they had vegetarian options like falafel's, plus the prices were fairly reasonable. Normally I'm a carnivore but during Lent I give up meat so falafal's it is. The restaurant is quaint and seem fairly packed during lunch. I ordered the falafel platter at $7.99 and was informed by the cashier it will take 15 minutes to cook but it will be worth the wait. I just have to say the food was delicious and worth the wait! Crispy, flavorful and huge portions. Five large falafels with rice, salad, hummus and pita bread. So worth it. I had leftovers which I had for dinner. Can't wait to try the meat options when Lent is over. Definitely try it out! read more

This is actually the second time I have enjoyed a meal here. I believe I ordered the same meal both times and was equally delighted both times. I did try the meat on my friend's platter and it was well prepared. The amount of food purchased is generous and I had enough for two meals. I am certainly no expert on Mediterranean food so I do not know if things are made "properly" but I do know I enjoyed the meal offered. THIS IS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD EATING OUT IN A LONG TIME. We arrived around 7:30 on a Friday evening. The menu is straightforward - burgers, gyros, platters. We ordered a chicken platter ($9.99) and a gyro platter ($9.99). The food came out pretty quickly. These platters are HUGE; they're served with a salad, rice, pita, hummus and freshly made tzatziki. You can taste the love and passion in this food. The chicken was moist and had the perfect charred/grilled flavor. The pita came out warm and the hummus was on point!! The tzatziki was completely unique, and as the owner, Sajad, explained, it is made from Greek yogurt - giving it the proper thickness and flavor. You can taste the difference! I've never had tzatziki like this before. As we were eating we got to talking with Sajad, and learned the story behind his amazing food. He is so friendly and passionate about what he does! Be sure to chat and say hi when you visit. We were also served complimentary chai and falafel. Be sure to try the hot sauce they make - really spicy but goes with the platters wonderfully! Every item we tried was clearly made with love, care and the utmost pride. The chai is made from scratch with real milk, tea leaves and spices. The falafel is amazingly moist inside but super crispy on the outside. And it's such a bright green color inside! I'm not a huge falafel person, usually because they're dry and often flavorless. I think I'll probably order the falafel platter next time - these were THAT good. Guys, while I was eating my chicken platter, I declared that I would move to Natomas just for this food, that's how good it was. SEVERE FOOD POISONING!!! Please do not order from here. My fiancé and I are incredibly sick after eating the gyro wraps for dinner last night. I tried calling them all day because I'm too sick to drive over there but they don't answer. That's so irresponsible. I'm trying to tell them that their food gave us FOOD POISONING but they aren't answering the phone. I wish we would have read the recent reviews here before ordering as we are not the only ones that have gotten sick from this place. Came here because of all the raving reviews! No mistake there. We came for lunch and it seemed like this was the busiest place in the shopping center for food which is always a good sign. They had Abit 4 outdoor tables and indoor tables. We ordered the combo plate, a gyro and falafel balls. When the food came, my eyeballs popped out my socket lol. The portions were HUGE. You can definitely split the combo with another person or divide it into 2-3 meals. The chicken and lamb was pretty damn good. Cripsy and soft at the same time, just how I like it. Flavorful too. The rice went well with the meat and they give you some salad. The sauce was also muy bueno. As for the gyro, it's pretty much the combo platter (without chicken) in a pita. That was also pretty bombs. It was definitely a fully loaded gyro and was yummy. A bit hard to eat and had to eat it with a fork, but it's all good. The falafel balls were the softest I've ever had on the inside. Still crunchy on the outside. I like soft ones. I've been out of country for a whole year and this was the first place to try after coming back. I loved their cheeseburger. Their fries are thinly sliced and crispy. They are juicy and well seasoned. My mother loves their falafel plate. Their customer service is good. However, when you order through phone, they usually run late according to the time given to the customer. That's the only part I don't like hence the 4 stars. If you're sitting on the inside of the table, you have to constantly squeeze around between your table and the one next to you. Cups for tap water are absolutely tiny. I had to get up and push past the table behind me to re-fill 3 times, which I found kind of annoying being an average size person. At first, the water was out, so I had to sit down and wait for it to be re-filled. When they gyro arrived, it looked great and a good portion size. Unfortunately, it was just mediocre in my opinion. This is a reasonably priced gyro spot with a nice menu selection of other foods. I like the falafel here as well. The gyros come in either beef/lamb or chicken. They both are really good so you can't go wrong. They make good sauces as well including a garlic sauce, yogurt sauce and spicy hot sauce. I also like their Greek salad.
