Love this spot. I get the same thing every time. Gyro platter. This place just opened up a week ago and im so glad it did. When i first stepped in they were already closing up, just got out of work, they close the same time my work closes. I was about to leave but they were eager enough to take my order and serve me some food. Since then ive been coming back for more. I really cant get enough of their food. They have a pretty big menu and its not only limited to gyros and falafels. Im just glad theyre still willing to take my order even though they've already closed. It just shows how bad they want your business. That type of mindset is what sets apart a successful business and an unsuccessful one. Tonight my boyfriend and I were craving gyros for dinner...and we decided to check yelp for a nearby location with great reviews. Alas, we wound up here. The food was.....AMAZING!!! Although we both opted for platters the Quality and quantity was outstanding. Every detail: the perfectly seared and moist meat, the soft warm pita bread, the fluffy rice, crisp salad, fresh hummus and the sauce....oh my God get the sauces!! Homemade Tzatziki and a spicy pepper blend. Thank me later! We were able to meet the owner who also made our trip that much more enjoyable. I had won a gift card from the Natomas Association a while back so I decided to come here today and bring my husband. I ordered the combination plate and my husband ordered a gyro with bbq sauce on the side. When I went to pay, the boss or owner said my gift card was not legit so I had to use my own money to pay. It was very frustrating since I won it from a legitimate business but none the less we stayed. I had a very good meal. The hummus had little to no flavor but I can't complain because the chicken, beef and rice were quite tasty. Would I come back? Yes I would. My daughter says this place has the best hamburgers so next time I will get a burger....maybe. My husband ate all of his food so I'd say this place will be on our list if restaurants to visit. The food here was gross in my opinion, I should have known to just not get it after I sat there watching that gyro meat spin in open air exposed to whatever contaminants while they scrape pieces off, the machine and whole counter around it looked gross like it had not been wiped down at all. If the health department came in here I'm sure they would get cited for how dirty it was. I'm familiar with this type of food and how gyro is made. I don't know just looked like dog food here the way it was laying everywhere on counter and they touched it with bare hands. But the homemade baclava was to die for. This place is freakin delicious! I tried the falafel platter for the first time yesterday and got a philly gyro wrap for my husband. This is the best falafel place I've ever been to. We LOVED the food so much, we literally came back the very next day. Today I ordered the gyro platter and my husband got chicken philly wrap. The platters are large enough for leftovers the next day. My husband and I have eaten at Falafel Corner many times for the last few years and for the most part have been very happy with the food, service, & casual atmosphere. We like the tasty lamb/beef Gyros & how they crisp the meat & pitas a bit. However the last few times we've gone we've noticed they have been heavy on lettuce & light on meat & tomatoes. Last night we left feeling hungry afterwards & that wasn't the case in the past. Love their combo platter. Gyro meat has a great crust and the chicken is very flavorful. I always get a side of falafel which are crispy on the outside, soft and smooth on the inside. BEWARE OF THE HOT SAUCE. I don't eat at this place without putting a dab on each bite but this stuff is SPICY. It's the equivalent of Thai spicy maybe even spicier. Great gyros. They appear to be a standard Kronos shop, but I've seen other Kronos shops screw up gyros, so this is never a guarantee of anything. As everyone else mentions, the owner is very friendly. I felt the falafel was overdone, but maybe my taste is different from others'. I found this place during the pandemic. Greek/Mediterranean food is one of my favorites. And I was surprised to find this place! All the staff are nice, friendly, and understanding. I ordered a combination platter with a side order of falafel which is my go to meal at any Greek/Mediterranean style restaurant. It was also my boyfriend's first time trying a gyro wrap. Unfortunately our experience was interrupted by the plaza security to shut down the dine in service, when we had already began eating. This was the day the governor had announced a second lockdown.
