The food is outstanding, we have had the burgers, the phillys, and the wrap. The spicy double cheeseburger is right up my alley, it has a little kick to it and sets just right. The philly was not your regular philly but still tasted good. The bread was good, it's made out of gyro meat so it's not greasy like a normal cheesesteak but a little oily. My favorite thing on the menu is the hummus and pita. For 5 bucks you get a hummus and one pita and it's a dollar for a extra pita. Sooooo goood! Their wraps are terrific and we also love their fries. The owner is very cool, and a great cook! We come here about once a week or so. If I could add 10 stars I would. I've been coming here for only a few years but I dream of this food every waking moment. The owners are great cooks and great people, whenever I come in they treat you with such kindness, and a nice HUGE hot plate of food. Today I came in with a friend who had never tried Falafel town and because I work late I couldn't get there till 8:30. The 3 staff members up front were cleaning the restaurant, but more than happy to make my large order to go. They were fun and kind and happy to be there. The food was better than the best and it was 30 minutes to close! No where can compete with that. I'll never stop coming. Kathy and Kaldoun had a place we frequented in Dublin and the last time we looked for it out there were disappointed to see it was no longer there! Well it's because they relocated to Antioch! I recently went here and it was A ok. I feel like I should go again to give an accurate rating but 4 stars for now since my family seemed to like there orders a lot. I got a beef gyro combo and it was good but not as good as the gyros from Jerry's hot dogs in Antioch. We also ordered chicken kabob plate and a some other stuff. The rice was pretty good and the yogurt sauce is good! The bread seems fresh and soft so that's a plus. The baklava was so yummy! But the portion is teeny tiny! I selected this place expecting to have decent Mediterranean food, but what a disappointment it was from start to finish. I doubt I would have even eaten my food had it not been for my extreme hunger. This is one of those times where Yelp let me down - I am completely clueless how this place has such a high star rating. Allow me to elaborate below with the pros and cons. Pros: The employees are friendly and approachable. The place is pretty clean and well organized. It has all the charm of a hole in the wall. Cons: Their lamb tastes like a mixture of dog meat and spam. If it is truly halal, why do they need to put so much salt and pepper on it? What are they covering up? The prices do not justify the low quality. They use the cheapest ingredients and give you tiny portions, yet the prices are comparable to more fancy Mediterranean places. When you order a combo, they tell you you get a choice of a drink. Apparently, there's no option to upgrade to a lassi or sparkling water. I found this out afterwards and had to pay an extra $6 to order two more drinks, bringing my total of drinks up to more than I wanted them to. There's absolutely no air conditioning in the building and it is hotter than hell. It makes it pretty hard to enjoy your meal when you're sweating bullets. The bottom line: I find it hard to believe that this is the best Antioch has to offer in terms of Mediterranean food. Don't be fooled by the star ratings. Maybe this place used to be good, but it's definitely not anymore. I wouldn't feed my cat this food. read more

We haven't even gotten our food yet and are so completely irritated we have vowed never to return. We brought my 97 year old grandma out for lunch. We got her settled in at an available table and grabbed some menus. We sat down, made our meal choices and my husband went to the counter to order and pay. That's the only good thing I can report. Bad experience altogether. We won't be back. Delicious! I always get the spicy combo plate with lamb and chicken! The portions are huge and always last me 2 full meals. Lamb is crispy and moist, chicken is juicy, and the seasoning is fantastic. Lots of delicious warm spices and great flavor of coriander in the meats. The hummus and cucumber salad are great accompaniments. The hummus is perfectly smooth, acidic, and has the right amount of tahini. Dipping the lamb in the hummus and eating it with pita is The rice is a lil oily, but is cooked very well and super flavorful. The grains kept their integrity and aren't mushy or hard at all.
