I'm stuck between a 3.5/4... lets say the first time i came I thought I ordered chicken tikka masala apparently they don't even sell that and just gave me chicken tikka lol I was a bit confused but realized the misunderstanding. It was good but I felt waiting 15 minutes was a little long. Sitting there is not really a good idea if you are not comfortable around smoke. I smell smoke coming from somewhere and that just kind of ruined my meal. Another thing I noticed that made me do a double take was seeing a man put ice into his machine. He just used his bare hands to put the ice in and to me, its not sanitary. Came back just today to try their kahari gosht which is kinda like goat curry, excuse my poor explanation of what it is lol It is spicy and flavorful. I was not pleased with how they contained my meal. They used a paper lid to cover my meal which basically absorbed a bit of my sauce and also some of the sauce spilled out (this was at the station) I guess they thought it was ok since they used foil to wrap the container lol iuno i would just use plastic containers, to me, that makes everything more clean. But this was good and i will probably come back, only for take out though.

Okay let me just start off by telling you that I have been to tonsss of Indo/Pak restaurants and never came across one that is this good. I have been eating at this place for past 2 years now. Here's what you need to know: This family kitchen is located inside a Chevron Gas stations (TRUST ME DON'T GET TURNED off by that), it's located in awesome Sugar Land area with lots of lighting around. When you walk in, they have a nice small restaurant setup with Desi HDTV channels along with Gas station setting. It's kept very clean and very nice atmosphere. Now let's get back to the Food: I have friends in Clear Lake who travels all this way just to eat here because it's that damn good. Their Chicken Tikka Leg and Boti is to die for. I cannot stop containing myself from eating the Chicken Biryani. I eat it once every week. Their Kadahi Chicken is sooo good (little oily, but totally worth it), The bun kababs are awesome, the chicken kabab roll and seekh kabab rolls are really good. They also give their Dall rice combos with your choice of kababs such as seekh, chicken tikka boti, shami kabab etc. There's aloooot on their menu. Even if your not feeling Desi, they have authentic Mexican food made fresh for you, even if that's not what your in mood for, they've got really good fried chicken with biscuits/gravy etc. for you as well. BEST THING: They do not put any ARTIFICIAL flavors to their food, I hate those restaurants that puts those leafs and tons of masalas in their food to make it smell good but tastes like shit. This place doesn't do any of that, it's basically a home cooked meal by a professional with brilliant taste. Go try it yourself and see what I am talking about. Prices are also pretty good for the amount of food you get. You will not be disappointed.

Mexican style halal burger! Worth trying . Huge pattie!

She made the whole experience so enjoyable. The manager (Sophie?) was also very welcoming. We were also impressed with the woman with the long braid and shirt that said GURU. It looks like she has earned that nickname. Super speedy. I'm pretty sure she has 8 arms. Upon our next visit we will ask for Kennedy and hopefully we can be sat in the booth next to the kitchen. Thanks for such an awesome experience.

I walk in with a group of 5, ask for a gluten free menu, and the hostess happily got the menu and brought it with us to the table. Our server brought me GF soy sauce and told me he would make sure my food was safe even though it was on the GF menu. I got the calamari and Sugar Land sampler, and it was all great. The fish was fresh, the restaurant didn't have a concerning fishy smell, it was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of space for patrons so we weren't on top of each other. One of my guests ordered the wrong roll, and he was very patient and kind, and he talked through the different rolls to make sure the one she wanted was exactly what she was looking for. He made suggestions and took his time, and he treated her with respect and care. I was truly impressed! One could say that GF options are minimal, but for me, this menu had a little bit of everything for gluten allergies, and my server made me feel very safe eating there with my allergy. I will enthusiastically go back to Japaneiro any day, especially with this level of service!

Great Mexican restaurant!…read more We ordered the el molcajete, port carnitas tacos and steak and shrimp with a couple of margaritas and I have to say , I was very very pleased with our meals. Since moving here to Texas it has been quite difficult to find a restaurant that serves meals outside of Tex Mex . Something told us to explore the area a bit more and thankfully we did ! El fogon has been one of the most authentic Mexican restaurant we've had so far. In the month of May, my husband and I have ate here twice and every plate that we've ordered have been incredibly delicious. The meats are very tender & seasoned extremely well. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for dishes outside of the typical Tex mex. The menu has so many options and everything looks and smells so good. Their margaritas are made very well which is a bonus! I appreciate the assortment of seating (booths , patio ,tables & bar top ). I loved the decor and cleanliness. Our service each time has been top tier. The staff is friendly , fast and accommodating. Based on our experience both times, we are definitely returning and encouraging friends to try. I am ready to return already. Yum !

My ceviche was completely* tasteless, tough & uninteresting, more like Peruvian style but without any lime (nor flavor). The fish, shrimp and pulpo came straight out of a very frozen bag. Totally overpriced. Chips were pretty thanks to the amount of red & yellow dye added, went w the festive decor. The guacamole was very much too chunky ... They appeared to have real street Mexican tacos on the menu w corn tortillas. The atmosphere felt like entering a rancho joint in northern Mexico. The staff was very nice, accommodating and attentive when we went. The place was not very crowded. Parking was not a problem. I would not go back but it depends on what you're used to.

This mother-daughter team makes you feel like they welcomed you into their kitchen in their home. So warm and friendly. Salvadoran cuisine is a mixture of Spanish and Indigenous foods. It mixes Native American cuisine from Lencas, Pipil, Mayan, and Cacaopera Indians with traditional Spanish cuisine. Definitely try a pupusa. It is the national dish of El Salvador. Sooo good!! Pupusas are hand-made tortillas made of corn or rice flour filled with cheese, meats, beans, or Loroco (an edible flower). They are topped with homemade curtido (a sour cabbage salad) and tomato salsa. We had the Harina De Maiz Calabaza con Queso. The corn flour papusa filled with squash and cheese was so delicious topped with the cabbage salad. Next time, will try the loroco papusa. Papusas at $2.49 each for the corn flour and $2.99 for the rice flour. Do you like soup?? The Gallina Frita O En La Sopa was so flavorful. You can tell that the broth is homemade. Chicken soup with carrots, potatoes, squash, chayote and baby corn. So good. Served with fried chicken (dark or white meat), the most flavorful rice and salad with a fresh lime and soft cheese. Two thick tortillas accompanied the meal. A bargain at $14.99. Delicious! Thirsty? The Leche O Agua Fresas con Banana was an unexpected treat. The yummiest strawberry banana smoothie served in an oversized frosted cup with a spoon and a straw. This could have been split by two and served for dessert. So good and a bargain at $4.99. They also made a homemade lemonade for dad which he enjoyed. Loved trying the Salvadorian food at El Cafecito. Such a cute restaurant where you truly feel like you are being welcomed into someone's home. Thanks to Lorena and Julie for welcoming us into your family's kitchen for a delicious Sunday night family dinner.
