I arrived exactly 23 minutes after placing my takeout order. From 4:25 to 4:36 p.m., I stood at the pickup counter while no fewer than six employees, wearing their Famous Dave's server shirts, stood together at the end of the bar socializing. Several looked directly at me, yet not one person acknowledged my presence or even offered a simple, "We'll be with you shortly." The restaurant had only two occupied tables in the bar and in the restaurant, so it was difficult to understand the lack of attention. After waiting more than 10 minutes, the group disappeared from view, and the only employee I had not seen during that time emerged carrying orders for another customer. Once she asked for my name, however, she immediately went to the back and returned with my order, indicating it had apparently been ready. We used to stop by this location for takeout about once a month because we enjoy the food. Unfortunately, the consistently poor service has already reduced our visits to about once a quarter, and today's experience confirmed that the service issues have not improved. The food is suitable enough and keeps bringing us back occasionally, but the takeout experience continues to be disappointing. A simple acknowledgment of waiting customers would make a significant difference. read more

On the TO GO side, there's usually no one there to assist customers. It takes about 5-10 minutes before someone shows up. There was a puddle of water running on the floor from their dessert fridge. Came here for dinner at around 8:30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant only had about 2 other groups of people here. The restaurant is spacious and had plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Upon entering, we waited about 5 minutes before a waiter came to seat us. There were four of us so we were seated in a booth. There were about 4 waiter/ waitresses working while we were there. We felt a bit awkward because although it was 8:30pm, the restaurant was open until 10pm so we didn't think they would be in such a hurry to close up. Our waitress was kind and took our order, we ordered the Feast for 2, there were 4 of us but it was enough food for 4 people! We also ordered a side of bacon baked potato soup. The soup was brought out quickly. The bowl the soup came in was warm, but the soup was cold. Literally COLD. Like they just heated the soup up in the microwave. We brought it to the waitress' attention and she apologized for it. She brought out "another" bowl of soup but I'm sure she just reheated the soup for another 2 minutes. The soup was mediocre, we didn't bother to eat it. The food took about 25 minutes to arrive at our table. We were so excited and extremely hungry so I had high hopes for the food. The roasted chicken was good, a bit dry but the bbq sauce saved the dryness. The pork ribs are good, I liked the flavor and it was tender. The beef brisket was tasty and flavorful. I wanted to love the beans but I could tell it was reheated and not fresh. Same with the corn muffins and mojos. They were dry and seemed as if it was sitting out all day. The mojos even looked like it was the leftover bits. We ate the meats but didn't bother eating any of the side items it came. The waiters also acted like they wanted us to leave so they could close up and start cleaning. Because it's Vegas, I didn't expect nor do I understand why they would serve cold food at 8:30pm! Have to stand around and wait for a front facing employee to show up. Employee eventually arrives. I show her the email. The instructions on the email say to show the email OR give the code from the email if you order on the phone. Employee says they can't process the code from the email. You have to download the app. Downloaded the app. App wouldn't take my password so I clicked reset. No email to reset. Waited. Still no email. Asked the employee how long the reset email takes. She says she has no idea, she doesn't have the app. If the employees can't handle having the app, why are they forcing the customers to have the app? Decided there isn't a piece of cake in the universe that is worth the BS one has to go through at Famous Dave's. Employee couldn't have cared less. Zero customer service, and that's why they have zero customers. read more

My friend and I had dined in at your Famous Dave's location on Rainbow Blvd., and before leaving, I ordered the $8 wings special to take home. When I got home and opened the box, I realized the order was already wrong, I had specifically asked for plain wings with the sauce on the side. Instead, the wings were fully sauced, and there was no Buffalo sauce included at all. I was disappointed but decided to give them a try anyway. After taking a few bites, I noticed something odd on a few of the wings. Upon closer inspection, I saw that they still had FEATHERS on them. Yes, actual feathers, still attached to the wings. I immediately called and spoke with the general manager, Bobby. His response to me was, "That doesn't happen very often, I'm sorry. I'll make you another order of wings." I had to ask him to repeat himself. That's the resolution? A redo on a meal that should never have been sent out that way in the first place? "That doesn't happen very often" isn't reassuring at all, this shouldn't happen EVER!. I was (and still am) nauseated. I've thrown up three times just trying to write this letter. Whether it was the wings or just the shock of what I found, this experience turned my stomach and completely wrecked my trust in the restaurant. This isn't just about a wrong order, it's about basic food safety and quality control. This wasn't a simple mistake. It was a serious sanitation issue that was brushed off like nothing. Absolutely unacceptable.I genuinely hope your company, and especially the team at the rainbow blvd. location takes this seriously and puts measures in place to prevent something like this from happening again to anyone else. This experience has completely turned me off from your restaurant, and I'm still trying to process how this could've happened in the first place. But today I decided to write a review on an employee; Ashlyn; who I have seen there several times who is always working very hard and has a great attitude. Today I saw Ashlyn provide wonderful service even with a very difficult customer who was extremely rude to her and even answered her phone; very awkward situation. This is knock off BBQ restaurant. This place is literally the Chili's or Applebees of BBQ . Really not great. The fried pickles we ordered were bland and had a bunch of grease sitting at the bottom. We also saw a bunch of flies flying around the restaurant and a piece of food in the water I ordered. If you want BBQ do not come to Famous Dave's. My partner realized that we couldn't smell any BBQ being smoked or grilled entering the restaurant or inside of it. How can you claim to be "famous" and your food is mediocre at best? I just left here, we came to eat for Father's day to celebrate for my dad who recently passed away. WORST service i've ever had, i've worked in restaurants and I couldn't believe how these employees even got hired. We got sat no problem, we came right when they opened. We waited over an hour to receive our food and the server (Kaila) didn't come to check up on us ONCE and we kept trying to get someone's attention. We genuinely felt invisible, no one would even give us the attention at all. We were one of the first tables to be sat yet tables that came in 20 minutes after us got their food and finished before we got a checkup and our food. When we did get our food, everyone's drinks at the table we're empty, AGAIN no one checked on us or even asked to get us refills. We asked one of the food runners that ran our food to us with purple hair for refills, she asked what drinks we had, we told her and she just walked away with no response and she never came back. When we got our food, they brought no plates for us to even put the food on(we had a platter) AND it wasn't even hot. Mind you we were being respectful even though service was awful, we waited so long to get refills to the point we were already done with our meals. They ended up bringing refills as we were finishing but forgot a couple of lemonades and we asked another server which was the only respectful lady (with blue hair) if she could get our server and we mentioned we were missing 2 lemonades and we needed boxes. She replied professionally and she mentioned she would do it right away. Next thing you know, this other lady with glasses came with 8 lemonades....I look at her and i say, "oh i'm sorry, we only needed two" then she proceeds to put more on the table. I tell her, "no we don't need 8, we ONLY need 2" she looks at me and says, "well it's free". At this point me and my table are like ok whatever, obviously this lady doesn't understand we don't want 8 lemonades...? We get our check and pay and wait forever for the check to be taken. I don't even want to be that way but no one was in health code either..who knows what's going on in the kitchen.Seriously the worst service i've ever seen these people obviously don't know what they're doing and are an embarrassment to the company. I've never felt more disappointed and disrespected. Don't come here you'll be very disappointed and you'd be better off going to ANY other place. And to the owner or whomever reads the reviews, look into getting new servers immediately. read more

Famous Dave's on Rainbow is always one of our favorite "go-to" options for take-out BBQ mostly because they are consistent and we always know what to expect. We've tried other places but always come back to Dave's. Yesterday my Hubby picked up ribs, pulled pork, brisket and the essential sides: Wilber beans (the absolute best!), potato salad, corn & corn muffins and I must say, even reheated today, everything was exceptional! The brisket was the best it's ever been! I've never boasted about their brisket but it was sliced thick, lean and tender. Ribs and pulled pork were also "spot-on". I'm not sure if they have changed how they prepare or cook their meats but this order was probably the best we've had from Dave's. YUM! read more

I came here with my husband about a month ago, we sat at the bar and ordered a couple drinks and their appetizer platter. The male bartender was nice and attentive, and the food was very good as well. We were the only two people at the bar. Unfortunately, some of the other waitresses staff (4 different female servers) were extremely rude to me for absolutely no reason. I got up to go to the bathroom and when I passed two of them, they gave me the most god awful dirty looks, which I thought was odd because they weren't even our servers. When I came back from the bathroom, I overheard 3 of them talking about me, and quieting down as I approached. I told my husband that it was weird because the girls were talking about me and he said he could also hear them from the bar and was appalled. We continued to eat our food and a different girl came to the bar to get drinks for her table and once again, death stared right at me (I wasn't very far away, maybe 10 feet) for about 10 seconds, not even trying to hide it. I later overheard her say that she normally bartends, but it was her night off to just serve. Normally I would ignore behavior like this, but I felt so uncomfortable, it reminded me of sitting with means girls at high school and their poor behavior should be acknowledged. Definitely not something worth the money. Food was very dry, portions are big but the flavor isn't there. Brisket came out very gray with a small smoke ring. Baked potatoes was definitely microwaved (ends were super hard and not edible, had to eat around them. Georgia pork was extremely flaky and dry. Very disappointed for spending $100 (3 people) on this visit. Better off buying a smoker and making the food yourself, I'm 90% sure everything is just microwaved anyways.... this is was the worst meal I have ever eaten, unfortunately I ordered take out so I couldn't just return it. I got burnt ends and pulled pork, both of which were so insanely dry and salty I felt like I was eating jerky. The salt in the pulled pork was so ridiculous I almost spit it out on my first bite...I forced myself to finish it because it's 24 bucks an entree here now. The Mac and cheese was bland, cold, with a clumpy texture, the mashed potatoes also cold and salty but still better than anything else. They forgot one of my items but at this point I was tired of what felt like an episode of fear factor trying to finish this food. My husband and I did an online order for the first time here, and it was hands down one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I've ever had. The girl working takeout, MARIA, was beyond rude, snappy, and had the worst attitude. She acted like helping people was a personal inconvenience and treated every single customer like they were beneath her. From the moment I walked up, she was rolling her eyes, slamming things down, and speaking to people with so much attitude. A man came in before me, gave her his name for pickup, and she just tossed his bag to the side without saying a word. When he asked where it was, she snapped in a nasty tone, "It's right there!" and rolled her eyes so hard. He called her a name under his breath when he left -- and honestly, I don't blame him. I sat there patiently waiting for 15 minutes for my food. Then, after she remembered I was waiting, Maria raised her voice across the counter, "We don't have you here". I told her I had a confirmation number. She looked completely annoyed, checked again, and of course, my food was right there -- sitting out the whole time, cold. Instead of owning her mistake, she scoffed, rolled her eyes again, and handed me my food like I was an annoyance. No apology. No basic decency. All attitude. Then an elderly man came in asking about a sandwich special, and she spoke to him like he's an idiot -- "Ummmmm yeeeah... we have sandwiches...". Completely unnecessary and disrespectful. MARIA, you are the face of this restaurant's customer service, and you should be embarrassed. You spoke to every customer like they were trash. If you're that miserable, find another job -- one where you don't have to deal with people. No one deserves to be treated the way you talk to customers. Had a hankering for some ribs so stopped by for a fast dinner. My Spareribs were excellent. The sides were also good except I'm not sure why they call their green beans Firecracker Green beans. Not a hint of seasoning much less some heat. Service was fair although it took nearly 10 minutes to seat me and then they sat me in the bar. The price was right and portion size was plentiful enough for 2 meals as 2 ribs will fill a woman or child. I must say it was a good experience for me and the family. We tried the family sampler meal you can see from the picture it was quite a bit of pretty much what they have to offer. It was really good. The service was great very friendly and helpful with suggestions for feeding four people. The ambiance was your typical BBQ joint establishment style. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.
