Never say never. Lol. I decided to try it again today. I had the fried chicken platter that came with sweet corn, cornbread, and a side salad. I have to say going with chicken was bitter than the barbecue. The chicken was OK. It wasn't spectacular, but it was decent. The corn bed was good, I might try it again to see if we could get some good ribs. We will see.

I went to Famous Dave's with three other people. I thought the food was average for a chain restaurant. The restaurant appeared clean. At first, we were seated in the regular dining area and then we asked about happy hour so we moved to the bar area. Patricia J was the server. At first, I thought she was great. As time went on, I thought she was good and by the end of my time there, I don't think she needs to be in the service industry. I placed my order and was clear that I wanted traditional buffalo wings. As my party's food was coming out, I was told that the kitchen messed up and made my wings boneless instead of traditional. This means my party had their food and I got half my food and had a longer wait for the other half of my food. Additionally, Patricia kept forgetting to bring us the things we asked for such as bbq sauce to go and straws. She was slow at times. When I got my check, I noticed I was not charged for the wings and the receipt listed that I complained. I thought it was a nice gesture that they comped the wings because I had to wait. So I gave Patricia my credit card and when she brought me my receipt, I was charged $16 instead of the $7.50 that was on my receipt when she gave it to me. That's a bait and switch and I will never patronize any Famous Dave's again. The correct thing to do would have been to explain that she was going to charge me more before she did so. I was with other people so I didn't make a scene, but what Patricia did was dirty and if I was her manager, I'd fire her. I bet she didn't think I took a picture of the first receipt she gave me, but I always do this at restaurants in case of situations like this. Famous Dave's, do better.

I have been to this famous Dave's a few times, but not in the last 10 years. They did not disappoint. We came in at 9 o'clock and they were closing at 10, but we're still able to service and get us our food. I took pictures of the decorations around the restaurant. It's a fun place to sit and just check out what's on the walls. I always go for the burnt ends platter as it never disappoints with the sweet corn and mac & cheese. Hopefully, it's not another 10 years before I return.

My family and I come here from time to time whenever we're craving BBQ, and it never disappoints. The flavors are consistently on point, and I like that they offer bottles of sauce on the side so you can customize your plate. The chicken can be a little dry at times, but the seasoning makes up for it. The atmosphere has a laid-back, chill vibe, and the service is always quick and friendly.

Went to Portland and did a bit of shopping at cascade station before leaving to PDX. We were looking for somewhere to eat and found famous Dave's! We were excited that we had to try. I've only heard of Famous Dave's as the bbq sauce found in stores. Their food was delicious. When they say bbq is known here, they got it right. The table is set up with 3 their famous hot sauces. I would recommend the rich and sassy for the classic taste! Make sure you go during lunch hour to get a good deal. 12-4pm They only thing I was disappointed in was the server, she was pretty slow. We arrived at table and she took 15 minutes to take our order. We wanted the lunch special, gladly she came at 359. We also told her we had a flight, but she was very slow with our check. Other than the service being disappointing, the food is one to try if you're looking for chain type restaurants.

After shopping around at Cascade Station, we came here for an early dinner. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the host and seated quickly. Our server introduced herself (sorry, but I don't remember her name), and took our drink orders and she nicely explained some of the items on the menu. We asked if the Feast for Two, was enough for the four of us, as we were not very hungry. It certainly was more than filling. We even took leftovers home. The restaurant was aromatic, filled with smoked BBQ cologne : ). The decor was festive and fun. The food was tasty and savory. There are four BBQ sauces ( Rich & Sassy, Sweet & Zesty, Hot & Sassy, and Devil's Spit) available. Squeeze type bottles are left on the table for your selection. I enjoyed the coleslaw and ribs. The brisket was salty and not my favorite. Corn on the cob was perfectly cooked and the Jo Jo fries were nice and crispy. The honey cornbread was buttery and filling. The baked beans were sweet and savory. The country roasted chicken was on the dry side. There was way too much food. Drinks were refilled and dirty plates removed quickly from the table. TV's are playing near bar area. Bathrooms are available indoors. Free parking outside the establishment. Service: 5/5 stars Ambiance: 4/5 lively and fun Food: 3.5. Standard BBQ fare

Food is great! Highly recommend the greens and beans. The chopped pork was perfect and cornbread muffin on point. My server helped me rush to get everything boxed up when I got called in to work, Marlee I believe her name was. She is AWESOME! Laid back vibe with super nice staff. Will definitely be back!

This place brings a very great desirable location for good barbecue. The flavor was tremendous. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good priced barbecue restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and our food came out extremely quick as well. Will definitely be coming back.

    Texas brisket

Service was great, food came out within 5 min, the waitress was super nice and friendly and the place was clean. My issue was with the quality of food that was served. Everything was cooked well, but the BBQ Texas brisket, the reason this native Texan wanted to visit, was the worst brisket I had ever tasted. It was cooked through well and the presentation was nice. But the quality of meat was that of a sponge. No brisket should ever look like a sponge. Even gas station brisket (Rudy's or Buccee's) in Texas is leagues away from what I was served. I'll try and come back in a month to see if it's any better. Hopefully the GM or owner of the restaurant realizes the quality of meat that they're buying.

If you're a vegetarian This food is not worth the money do not come here. The macaroni and cheese is gross. The mashed potatoes are red mashed potatoes, but taste like they old and they just tried to heat them up and give them to you. The salmon is extra chewy like a frog legs. Thumbs down. Good for meat eaters only.

On November 9,2025 I sent my sister to get me a bbq brisket sandwich with the two pickles, she bought 3 sandwiches.. I ate mines because I was hungry and waited all day anyways I give it a 4 it was dry burnt and overcooked all over in one with bbq on the side.. people don't pay &15.99 per sandwich and it's made like this.I took a picture of her sandwich that looked way better than mines.. anyways I'm over it and I'll make my own brisket from here on out...

IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it! They are smoked and then fried. They got the crisp just right. Let's talk about sides! We got the collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. They were all FANTASTIC! The coleslaw is a vinegar coleslaw, which I love. It wasn't the sweet mayonnaise style that most people don't enjoy. It was so good! The collard greens were perfectly flavored and tender! I couldn't have done better myself. The beans were sweet but also savory. Not super sweet, which makes me happy. Very well balanced. The server was super friendly and nice. She explained everything to us and made sure we were happy. They have a bar with various beers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual but perfect for BBQ. Highly recommend you try this spot!

Why are they serving food on a plastic tray with a piece of waxed paper? Why am I paying $70 for two people to eat lunch, and they can't even give us plates? The building is a very casual place, as you walk in the friendly staff greet you and ask you to take a seat wherever you like. We decided to sit in the backside of the building it is a very peaceful section by the kitchen, you can smell the amazing smokey scent of the bbq from there. The walls are covered black and white cowboy pictures. As someone mention in their review, parking is a little challenging but we found parking in the neighborhood within 5 min. The Menu is simple and to the point, one page is drinks the other page is the BBQ, We shared the Pit Boss Platter, you will find that it feeds 2-3, you get a 1/4 pound of brisket and pulled pork, 2 pork ribs, 1 link (very good size) cornbread and your choice of 2 sides, we choose the collard greens and the the green chile mac and cheese. Everything was amazing. It was plenty for the two of us that shared it, we actually took some of it home, I also tied in the pickles, the are served with pickled onions and jalapeños (yummy). The BBQ flavor was amazing, nice and smoky , great smoke rings, they table drop in three different sauces, a vinegar oil, a surprisingly tasty mustard sauce and their house bbq sauce, they are all great tasting. My son ordered the 2 meat plate, he loved the Brisket and Ribs, he also tried the Pinto beans with Brisket, they were very tasty. Overall Podnah's lived up to the hype. Pictured is a "half pound of brisket" for $23.00 and 60%-70% of it is just inedible fat! What was edible (3.4 ounces), was honestly disgusting and looks nothing like the photos they show online, as you can see for yourself. $11.00 for a cup of sour smelling banana pudding that was immediately tossed in the trash. $4.00 for a "chicken breast" that was literally 2 bites... This is the second and last time we will ever order from them again. I have never been more disappointed in an order of food in my entire life. We spent over $70 for the brisket as shown, a small salad with 2 bites of chicken, soggy coleslaw and sour banana pudding. Beyond unacceptable! Never again and truly hope this saves someone else from the disappointment that Reverend's BBQ truly is. Complete waste of money! Edit: It has been about 45 minutes since I ate what little of the brisket that was actually meat and not just fat, and I am extremely nauseous. Not worth the money, disappointment or naseau. Just looking at the photo alone, I wonder why I even tried eating it. Absolutely disgusting.
