The plush pepperoni rolls sitting there perfectly crisp in the oven, allowing a nice gooey cheese and hearty pepperoni to make my taste buds want more! Joe himself knows my order, and gave me a wink and thumbs up when he acknowledged me as a regular, reciting my order from memory, which was pretty cool given his no nonsense personality he displays during a busy lunch rush. This review is based on 2 visits. First visit was a slice of meat lovers. The sausage nuggets weren't done enough for me so I wanted it cooked a little more. Before I could even explain he got defensive. I guess he thought I was gonna ask for a refund. The pizza was good that review was a 3. Today I got spaghetti...same rude big guy. The first couple of bites were okay and then I got a meat chunk and it was hard to chew. I've never eaten ground meat that tough before. I didn't know they served meat that tough in restaurants. The noodles had a texture I can't describe and they had no flavor. I ended up tossing the whole meal. 1 star visit. Awesome food! Tried a supreme pizza slice.. Stromboli and grilled chicken salad.. All on different days.. And they all tasted really good. I'm from New York and I can tell when I eat good pizza. Even the size and quantity is pretty large. I believe the guy behind the counter at the register is Joe himself.. And if you know who the soup natzi is, then let me tell you, Joe is the pizza natzi! I love Joes. Visit it frequently for lunch. Everyone seems to complain about the guy at the register. He's rather big and intimidating...but it's not even that. He just looks like a New Yorker. Hair slicked back. Accent. All that. Took me a few visits but I winked at him a few times and got him to smile. He's a good guy. Go easy on the reviews. He just runs a business...efficiently. I think his New Yorker type attitude makes the place even more authentic. The portions are large. I can't even get a lunch special with 2 slices because 1 is so large. I also love the chicken fettuccini alfredo. Can't go wrong. Gets pretty crowded around lunchtime but he gets the customers in and out. No complaints here. read more

I've been here a few times and it's been a pretty decent experience. However, today I ran over on my lunch to grab one of their lunch specials: Any slice, salad and a drink. I ordered my pizza and salad and it came out missing jalapenos as I ordered and with the wrong dressing. I simply let the guy work working the register, whom I sincerely hope isnt "joe" because you would have thought I asked for the world on a silver platter. He shouted back one slice and a tossed salad, I said yes, but its missing jalapenos, well throw them into a cup and give them to her he shouted. Seriously? You couldnt have put them on my pizza and placed them back into the oven. You had to make me feel rude for asking you to correct the order you messed up? Needless to say I will never come back again. I've been here several times for lunch and was enjoying it quite a bit...until today. I was standing in line and watched the big guy that works the ovens lean into a pizza and blow on it. He blew on it so hard that some of the toppings on the pizza board flew back onto the pizza. I decided to eat still, figuring it wasn't what I was ordering. It bothered me all day, so I called them on my way home. I told them that I saw the guy blowing topping onto the pizza and the guy on the phone told me that he's actually blowing flour under the pizzas right before they go in so that they don't stick. I find this to be gross and can't believe it's within health code. It's a shame because I was really liking the pizza and I won't be back. read more

I tried to place a pick up order with them close to 5-6 months ago, as their lines can be really long and food takes awhile to get picked up (nearly 20min if you walk in). When I went to place my order over the phone, the gentleman put me on hold and never picked the phone back up (I eventually hung up after noticing I was on hold for nearly 10min while working on a project). Today I decided to give them another try, and forgo trying to place a phone-in pick up order. Get there, and thankfully no long line. After placing my order (two slices and a side salad) and receiving it, I was leaving only to find out they never gave me my salad. Came back only to be told I didn't order one (what?) and that they only charged me for the two slices. So basically I got charged over $8 for two slices of not overly big pizza. For $8 I'd get a bigger whole pizza at Dominos. Think I'll stick to my original plan of avoiding this place like the plague and I suggest others do too. Oh and the pizza was cold, I had to nuke it in the microwave when I got back to work. read more

Very nice to find this place by my work. Since it's a pizza joint I didn't expect such a good chicken garden salad. Very good with great dressing. Had a spinach pinwheel - one of many baked Italian delicacies offered ready too go. Was very good. Saw the spaghetti with meat sauce and the chicken Alfredo and will be back to try both because they looked amazing. Stopped by for lunch for the first time today and I really like the ambiance! It's got a very comforting feel! The menu was a little overwhelming and I totally understand what everyone meant when they said no customer service, maybe i'm just used to cashiers who will walk me through if its my first time but instead I got a 'So what'll it be?' It didnt phase me too much and I actually LOVED the food I got the margharita pizza and I only bought one slice because it was huge and I am stuffed, probably couldn't have done a second slice if I tried!! Best pizza this side of town. Great New York pizza slices made fresh and full of toppings and cheese, you can even see fresh basil in the sauce. I haven't tried other entrees yet but it's safe to say I like this place a lot. There's not much by where I work and it's great here! Wings and Stromboli are pretty decent but the service is horrible! Big guy at the register is callous and rude! Will not correct an incorrect order even if it determined he made a mistake. Went there last Friday and on both of my lunch specials my salad wasn't included I called and nothing was done. Today, my co worker picks up our food and we got our salads this time but no drinks and I was given the incorrect food. I called and the guy was argumentative and RUDE! The whole company goes there at least 3 times a week and he just lost a lot of business being a jerk. read more
