Walking for a pick up for delivery manager tried to ignore me several times by taking orders from customers who just walked in behind. Mean was very, very rude. Acted like I was there wasting his time. Not delivering a big order if they do not want to take online orders or Uber the phone orders to be delivered. Then don't do that kind of business but don't take it out on the people who are scraping by doing deliveries. I'm trying to take care of their customers. II as a delivery person. Will no longer be delivering any food from any fantang restaurant until they can show that they can treat the delivery people with some respect instead of like dirt. To be ignored read more

Not bad, but I would change my order next time. I ordered the potstickers and a child's portion of the chicken fried rice based on another reviewers recommendation. I also added the egg drop soup. The potstickers were the best dish. They tasted fresh, and had a good scald on them. I liked the spicy chili sauce that they were served with. The fried rice was steamed rather than fried. It was just OK. The egg drop soup wasn't egg drop soup. That is a vegetable tofu soup with a little egg in it. It had a very strange taste, color, and texture to it. There were a ton of carrots in it. personally, I could not eat it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is wildly overpriced. A child's portion of chicken fried rice, a cup of soup and potstickers cost $30. There is no real ambience to speak of. The decorations seem very typical for an Asian restaurant in Albuquerque. read more

Fan Tang has been our go-to Chinese food for years, we are so excited there is a location near us now. The food is always fresh and never disappoints. I usually get a "child size" portion and that is plenty of food for a great price! read more

I walked in with a greeting from the front counter but again as someone who used to serve sometimes people have off days so I won't be judging the attitude I received, we are all human. The tone of the whole restaurant was what you'd expect about anywhere people having conversations and enjoying the time there. I think the only saving grace for this place was the beef rolls. Absolutely delicious. As for the beef pho I took about 3 bites just to give it a shot of redeeming itself but the noodles are thick for a pho and the entire leaks that were in there where not even bite size the whole dish was a waste of money, I went in with high hopes because a friend suggested it and I heard it was delicious. Maybe next time I'll have to try a different dish because I am open to seeing if this place can do better. read more

This place has AMAZING food! We loved being able to pay up front so we didn't have to worry about the check and after ordering we had our food in less than 10 minutes. Picking our own table was super convenient for two and lots of places to sit. This is going to be our new go to spot for Chinese! read more

Pretty disappointed, we loved the location in Nob hill, but it's a drive. So the new location has a friendly staff. What I don't like is 3 times thee has been cross contamination of gluten free items which makes one ill if your intolerant or have celiacs, this never happened at Nob Hill. Second I'm a very petit person and eat about 1500 calories a day and the portion are very small even for me. read more

Weird dynamic going on here. You have to order your own food at the counter even though you have a server. Didn't really like that, and made the experience kinda weird. The food was not great at all, they're trying to do too many different sub styles of Asian food instead of doing one thing well. Egg drop soup tasted like Campbells chicken noodle soup. Weird that they added tomatoes to this. Pho was disappointing, broth tased very watered down and nothing like it should. On a positive note the staff was great, very kind and helpful. We have been going to the location on central for at least 5 years so we were so excited when they opened one near our home and I am happy to say the food is just as good! Disappointed. Visit #1 I got the street noodles. Not a fan, noodles were flat/linguini-like, overcooked and although spicey, relatively tasteless. I thought it was just me, as everyone has different tastes. Visit #2 I got the Singapore noodles shown on their wall menu. It was almost identical to the street noodles...same mushy, flat linguini like noodles. Creamy spicey yet flavorless sauce (I don't know how it's possible, but they succeeded). Pork protein choice was super skimpy and tough little nuggets. Now the name "Singapore Noodle" usually means a curried rice noodle that is round and almost dry in any other Asian restaurant. When looking at a detailed menu it shows that the singapore noodles are in a "lobster sauce". Whatever it was I threw it all out and they said OK. read more

One of my go to take out spots. Spicy dumplings are my fav along with the general tso with white rice. The fried rice, isn't my favorite.

Crowded, noisy, cramped, but mostly the food was not up to par. I had the vegan Pho and the broth was not flavorful (as it is served in the original location on Central). If the Pho broth base is not flavorful, what have you got? The Seoul dumplings were good, but the vegan fried rice not up to the flavor standard we have become used to at the Central Avenue restaurant. So all in all, disappointing. The floor servers were pleasant. We wondered why they frequently bumped into the cloth doorway decor (to the kitchen) with their heads - going and coming with dishes and plates. Seems hazardous and unnecessary. I wanted to like everything, but in these times I especially don't wish to expend a good sum of money for food that was not delectable. read more

I've reviewed this restaurant before and they have had excellent food. This review is in response to the delivery side of the restaurant. The food (what we received was good). We ordered three items, no modifications, via Grub Hub. Upon receipt of the order we only received two items. I called the restaurant to determine what the problem was and was told that the rest of my order was sitting on the counter. They offered to make me a fresh item and I could come over and pick it up. What!! I'm unable to drive, that's why I ordered delivery! my guest is without food! They then offered to credit my order. Fine, in the meantime my guest doesn't get to eat. I'm incredibly embarrassed and disappointed! Perhaps some better attention to order fulfillment?? !! read more

Had dinner tonight and loved it! We have been to Nob Hill location before, but new location is very close to home. Being located in the old Blake's Lotaburger, they did a fantastic job of changing out the inside, so resembles nothing of the past. Service was spectacular and food was great! Fan Tang is a blessing to Albuquerque. It's fast, fresh and flavorful! A local Gem! I'm so happy to see they now have two locations. The service is always quick and friendly. They have gluten accommodations unlike most Chinese restaurants in Abq. My favorite is the Sichuan Streen noodles and the garlic beef. The coffee chicken is famous. Support local! read more

Delicious food. Best Chinese in Abq! Service was excellent as well. A little noisy but just a slight irritation to have such tasty food. I had Tea smoked beef with fried brown rice. Meat was very tender and had a very unique smoke flavor. Fried rice was very good as well. My wife had the Coffee chicken. Another delicious signature dish. I searched for the Fan Tang Montgomery website, which apparently does not exist. I ended up inadvertently logging on Grubhub while choosing 'pickup'. I ordered online and paid my $31, then went to Fan Tang about 10 minutes earlier than my appointed time. The host at Fan Tang told me 'we have no record of your order'. When I showed him my order page on my phone, he said 'you'll have to take that up with Grubhub.' So I left. I did not find out if my food was ultimately delivered, instead I filed a Dispute with my Credit Card company. I learned the hard way that 1) there is no reason to involve a third-party when ordering food for pickup at a restaurant, and 2) for low income-per-customer places like Fan Tang, there is no customer service and no recourse if your food order goes south. So I will avoid both Grubhub and Fan Tang in the future. read more
