I love Thai food and this hit the spot. Will be returning for this! The hot & sour soup is subpar. Too salty, too much tofu, and not enough vegetables. Tried this place 10 times already and each time it has been spot on! Food is fresh, high quality and delicious plus the sushi is phenomenal. There are not many places I trust enough to order sushi at but Fancy Lee has the freshest most delicious sushi around. We ordered the Ganga roll this past visit yum and then the Chilean Seabass and the Peppered Beef Cubes. Both fulfill of fresh veggies and the sauces were great. Sweet orange for the fish and smooth brown for the beef. The beef was tender and so flavorful. New decor, large menu, great value makes this place out new favorite spot in Babylon. Some other Japanese and Chinese places are very expensive and overcrowded. The tables in Fancy Lee are spaced out nicely and there is plenty of seating. Appetizers choices are great, we usually go for the Rock Shrimp App which has a spicy mayo dressing. We have had Chinese, Thai, and Japanese items from the menu and been happy with all of them. Lunch special are a great buy too! read more

We had dinner on Xmas Day. I was jonesin for Thai and was dissapointed, there's a better one in West Babylon. This is a little quirky I know, but here goes; I asked for a non-alcoholic beer and they had none. Believe it - I carry one for this very circumstance. If they don't have it I ask if I may open mine, their response was No. I even suggested that they charge me a cork charge and they refused, saying something like their liquor liscense doesn't permit it, sounds like B@#$%^&T doesn't it? I was hoping for a nice Chinese place versus a take-out place and while this place had Chinese food on the menu, as well as Thai, it seemed that the prominent cuisine was sushi and Japanese. I had a tuna roll which was quite tasty but I was wishing I had ordered the spicy tuna instead. My husband ordered that, along with the Pad Thai. The spiny tuna was delicious and has a little crispy texture which was different from other spicy tuna rolls I've had. The Pad Thai was not the BEST Pad Thai I've ever had but it was fine. So we asked if she could fix the order..Not in a mean way. She attacked us as if we were less then. I have never been treated this way with rude comments and side remarks. After her rude comments, attitude and treating us like peasants she CHASED US from the restaurant and said "that's it?" because she didn't like her tip..... what did she expect ? After that type of service. It just shows who she is as a person chasing customers in the parking lot. I honestly should have recorded her so you guys could have seen the audacity she had after all that. Said we clearly don't come here meanwhile my friend always does and so do all our friends they all live around the block..... She is just not a friendly person to be working at this facility. I don't think any of us will be coming back if she is there. I have to go out of my way to write about this I have never experienced a situation like this. I've had dinner here a few times and the food was excellent every time. Decent amount of vegan choices, especially by Long Island standards. I've eaten the gyoza, thai style vegetable spring roll, vegetable pineapple fried rice, tofu pad thai noodle, tofu with tropical mango sauce and the malaysian style red curry with vegetables and tofu. The spicy dishes are relatively mild and they will adjust it by request. Prices are reasonable, especially when you order veggie and/or tofu dishes instead of meat or fish. The staff is always friendly, attentive and accommodating. The restaurant is always packed out, especially during dinner hours. As a result, wait times can be long and noise levels can be quite loud. The quality of the food completely negates the drawbacks. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will continue to eat there myself. read more

In the heart of Babylon village in an old diner you'll find some delicious sushi. The edamame was perfectly salted, with a dip in spicy mayo-mmmm. The sauce on the rock shrimp was very good. The naruto roll was just the right amount of cucumber and filled with a large piece of fish. Spicy scallop roll was very good. They were great with service and bringing the check at the right time. The only thing I realized is we never got refills on the water but we still had some, not like we were parched. Parking is not terrible early on a Friday but I could see it being very difficult the later the evening goes on in Babylon village. I am officially changing my review. Something changed I don't know what. But after several years of coming here since it opened I had a sub par meal. The rock shrimp tempura was changed. It used to be fresh. It came with frozen shrimp. The calamari appetizer was different too. Frozen cake calamari. The worst part of my meal was the pad Thai, which I have gotten many times here. I struggle with Asian food in this country. I spent about 5 years living in Asia, and when you go to the best Japanese resturants in Japan, it is really hard to find a restaurant that comes even close. Oh and don't get me started with this whole "fusion" thing. Look, Japanese food has a really distinct flavor profile from Thai food, and there are like a billion different kinds of "Chinese" food. Not that you cant blend different cuisines but it is not easy to pull off. I drive by Fancy Lee all the time, but honestly, I can't be bothered to deal with parking in Babylon village so I have never stopped in till today. I thought it was an upscale Chinese restaurant but cracking the menu open, i did not have high hopes for a good dinner. We finally settled on Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, and a "Sweet Roll". The shrimp dish was solid. The texture was right, there were maybe a dozen plump perfectly cooked shrimp and a little noodle action going on in the broth. Now the Sweet Roll. Getting a special roll is unusual for me. I am so often disappointed that i tend to stick to the basics. This roll had shrimp tempura, avocado and i think tuna. It was surprisingly tasty. See, its the little things that asian restaurants fail at here in the states. Like rice. Chinese rice is different from Japanese rice, which is different from sushi rice, which is different from thai rice, you get the picture. Now, no resturant is going to make 5 different kinds of rice, they figure you won't notice. And that extends to things like wasabi and ginger. The rice with the shrimp dish was ok, pretty much what you expect but the wasabi and the ginger were great. The wasabi had the right texture and wasnt gritty and the pickled ginger was the best i had in a long time, spicy, sour, with just the right amout of heat. Pickled ginger is supposed to be a palet cleanser to wake up your taste buds and settle your stomach, and the ginger can ruin sushi for me. All in all, my first time here was a solid experience.
