Fanoos scores a 4.5 stars from me. First off, Navi and the guys in the kitchen are great. Navi is very personable and did a great job making me feel welcome (I was referred to Fanoos by Ray of Zayna Flaming Grille). Service great. Ambiance is comfortable for a small restaurant, not lavish but you come for the food anyway. Oh, my reviews will come from a pescatarian standpoint as I've been out of the meat business for a long time. Shirazi salad is fresh and helps you feel like you are eating your veggies. The traditional hummus was ho-hum and I will try the roasted pepper hummus next time. The Fanoos Fries are something to write home about - the feta, parsley, paprika and house salad dressing over the fries made it a delight. Not heavy on the dressing but enough so you are satisfied. For the main, I asked for a shrimp gyro (had to check with the kitchen) and it was great. You receive two modestly sized gyros with a salad so you can have some today and some the next day. My coworkers and I ordered off the online 3rd party . we had 2 orders of the kabob combo. The sides were missing and they had placed both orders in one box. They were rude to the person that picked up the order. When we called the restaurant about our missing sides they blamed the online 3rd party. Instead of offering to fulfill the order or any kind of correction to the mistake. He was so rude on the phone. We usually liked ordering from here but the service has deeply declined. My rice had maybe 3 lima beans and they were heavy handed with the dill. Whats funny is the cashier claimed that they do not give you any pita nor onion nor butter or usual condiments that normally come with Persian Food...even if I did spend $50. We have been to this place a few times. Among all entrees, the chicken kobideh is better than beef kobideh. It is slightly juicier and not as dry. The salad comes with all entrees and the dressing is more on spicier side. read more

Delicious food and amazing service. Amir was super attentive to our party of 9 and a baby. The food is made to order and it's brought out hot not warm. Their beef and chicken koobidehs and chicken kabobs are very juicy. And I never stray away from those 3 lol. Their eggplant appetizer is creamy and caramelized onion is the perfect consistency. Long story - I placed a delivery order through grubhub. I was going through the menu, picking items I wanted. I was looking to edit the items I didn't want and inadvertently clicked to submit the order. I panicked. I ended up ordering more food than I needed. I called customer service and they wouldn't help me. Even told me they called the restaurant, and the restaurant refused to remove the items I didn't want. I was upset. I then decided to call the restaurant myself and spoke to the lovely owner of the restaurant. I explained the situation, and he said that he told customer service to cancel the order and have me reorder what I wanted. I told him that wasn't what I was told. He went ahead and canceled the order. I placed an order directly with him. I called customer service, again, to make sure the order was canceled, and it was. Best Persian food in Torrance! I find myself craving their juicy, flavorful meats on a weekly basis. Luckily they have a delivery service until 10pm, aiding my goal of being a 24/7 fatty. On days when I'm not lazy AF, I like to dine in as the servers are very warm and friendly. Most recently I came here with my boyfriend for a post workout meal (we rationalized the calories...). We ordered: Kashke Bademjan: this stuff is seriously like crack. If I had no shame I would slurp up this whole bowl myself in a few monstrous spoonfuls. The warm, creamy eggplant topped with the sweet onion jam is instantly comforting. I would be happy ordering only this. Combo #1: this comes with a strip each of chicken and beef koobideh. Bursting with meaty juicy goodness, the koobideh falls apart with a fork alone. They also give you a mountain of rice, veggies and a side salad. This is easily enough for 2 meals. Ghormeh Sabzi: this stew is addicting, with an interesting palette from the herbs, lime and kidney beans. The chicken is super tender and falls apart like nothing. As much as I liked this, I think I still prefer the Fesenjan as my go-to stew. I will admit that the prices here are high, but the portions are so gigantic that I always have leftovers. When I'm feeling particularly sloth-like I'll order a Combo #8 (serves 4) and eat it all week long. Can't wait to come back for more Persian yumminess! read more

So let me start by saying I've been coming here for years! My family and I love the food but this last experience may have been our last meal here! I made an online order about 3 weeks ago. That night I went in to pick up about 20 minutes after placing the order, which was the quoted time. When I arrived they said they had just received my order a few minutes prior to my arrival. They said they have been having issues with the computer ordering system. Personally I would have not taken any online orders and only allowed phone and in-person but I guess they weren't worried about it. They said they would rush my order as I was in a time crunch to pick up my daughter from cheer practice. Once my order was ready I grabbed it and ran out the door. Got home and realized my order was missing the rice and chicken. My order was very much incomplete. I called immediately and was told I would get a call back from management/ owner since nobody there could do anything to help me. I call again the filling day and was told to expect a return call...nothing and then I called 3 or 4 days later and still nobody there for me to talk to and no return call. Each time I confirmed my phone number so I know they had the correct contact. I'm writing this about 3 weeks after it happen because I'm still so mad and disappointed that I cannot go back here because I refuse to support this business by the way I was treated. The beef koobideh combo is one of my many go-to menu items here. Everything it comes with is on point- the saffron rice is flavorful and perfectly cooked. The salad is always fresh and comes with a really good thousand island -like dressing. Another item that I love to order is the salad olivieh- similar to a potato salad wrap. This is our favorite Persian Restaurant in the Southbay. What a small hidden gem in the Rolling Hills plaza. Crenshaw and PCH.. try the chicken Koobideh plate and or the beef koobideh. Both come with very generous portions of fresh meat, tasty, seasoned w the finest spices .. includes a large salad with a really tasty light dressing , heaping portion of basmati rice (delicious!), grilled tomato, chili pepper and pita bread. I have been coming here pretty often over the last year during Covid 19. The last lime I came to Fanoos restaurant is on April 15, 2021 at 1:45om. I can definitely say that the food remains as great when you dine in or get take out. I have try their Beef Shish Kabob, their Lamb Shank and it is very tasty. After meeting with with an old friend, we decided to come here for dinner. I've heard of this place before, but haven't had the chance to stop by. Well, the other evening I finally got to try the food here. This place is located in a sizable shopping plaza in south Torrance. Parking was not issue, as there was plenty of it. My buddy, his wife, and I walked in during a moderately busy place. I perused their colorful menu and decided to order the filet mignon (surprise surprise). I forewent my usual zereshk polo and stuck with the bastami rice. We ordered some hummus as an appetizer, and I stuck with water. My buddy and his wife ordered doogh each, and they told me it was delicious. My place was huge, and the food was pretty good. It left me stuffed, but not too groggy afterwards. Since we were planning to have chai at my buddy's place, we didn't get it here. The staff here is super friendly, the place is clean, and the patrons are locals of the south bay.
