I mostly had good experiences coming here. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries multiple times. Also ordered their chili cheese fries with no issues. Everything tasted great! Then one day, I ordered my usual through the drive thru (bacon cheeseburger with fries). Paid for the meal and the second they handed me my food, my car smelled like a men's restroom that recently had some kids dropped off at the pool. It was disgusting. I pulled into a parking spot and checked the food to see if there was mold or if anything was wrong, but it looked fine (delicious looking actually). So I drove home. The smell only intensified. Got home and again looked through the bag, burger, fries, checked the outside, napkins- nothing. Took a bite and just could not get over the bathroom smell it was putting off. I've been eating at Fantasy since 2006 back when they used to be on State College. I don't know why it took me this long to write a review but here goes! Their food is the definition of flavor. The portions are beyond generous. The wait time is non existent. There has not been a single time in which I have been displeased or wronged in any way whatsoever over the course of a decade and a half. Must try items from the menu: Breakfast Burrito (Choose all three meats and ask for extra sauce) Tuna melt Chicken Teriyaki Plate Fantasy Burger (Ask for the fries to be well done and buy one or two ranch) Chili Cheese Fries (Ask for extra cheese) Since this is so close to Pepes, you'd think it's a hard choice between the two but I assure you (I've been eating at Pepe's since 2001), Fantasy is better hands down. 9.5/10 read more

There was one car in the drive-thru, but there might as well have been 5 with the amount of time I waited behind this one car. I almost got out of my car and went inside. I ordered one of the burger meals and yes, it was good. A few days later, I went inside and tried their pancakes for lunch and received faster, better service and the pancakes were amazing! 8am during COVID and what's the breakfast of champions? Burgers! Craving burgers and my dad told me about a decent mom-pop diner in Placentia. Located across a dental building and a few minutes from the freeway it is in a strip mall with a juice store. There is nothing special on the menu and very standard. Ordered a Sourdough Burger, Bacon Cheeseburger, side of chili, and hash brown with bacon. The food came out quickly while I waited in drive-thru. Most likely because there weren't many patrons in the morning. The quality was pretty good and if I was in the area and needed a bite to eat I would come back. And yes they make burgers all day! This became a hot spot for me after my first time trying it a while back. But since then it seems the food quality has suffered little by little with each visit. Currently, I would say they have fast food quality meals at a premium price.. They have a pretty decent sized menu (some of my original favorites were any of their burgers, the teriyaki chicken bowls, and the grilled cheese). The food, while not perfect, is still very edible.. Most important, stay away from the drive-thru unless you have nothing going on in life. You may be waiting 20+ minutes for their mediocre food, and that line can get long... With all that said, the employees are all very friendly. While I may not be 100% with their food quality, the service is excellent. read more

I've been coming to fantasy burger since I was in high school back in 2010 and there's a reason I keep coming back. Everything is top tier. You want yummy food and attentive staff? COME HERE. Their breakfast burrito is to this day, my favorite go-to breakfast burrito. I've tried many other places breakfast burritos to find a replacement because I no longer live close to Fantasy Burger. But when I'm in fullerton I always get my breakfast burrito fix here. And they are still my favorite. I used to go to their old location years ago, given I was raised in the area this place is one of my favorites. Granted I usually get the same things it never fails to satisfy!! Their breakfast burritos are the best I always stick to the bacon for breakfast. For lunch their fantasy burger is huge and can def feed two people, aside from that their teriyaki is bomb and can also feed two people. This review is about their famous teriyaki. Its the best. Hands down. Charbroiled perfection and not swimming in sauce, like some other burger places. Every table you see has at least one teriyaki plate. It comes with salad and rice, however I get mine without rice. I try and eat most meals low carb, because ive been maintaining a 25lb weight loss since 2016. Even without the rice, I often cannot finish the plate. Its that big. I was at CSU Fullerton and I found this place a few blocks away. I was hoping to get a good burger. The place had a family-run feel to it and I prefer the family run joints rather than national chains. Fantasy Burger serves breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, and Mexican food. It was a bit warm - temperature wise - in the dining area, not too bad but definitely warmer than I like it to be. There were no ceiling fans and it did not feel like the AC was running. If it was, it was definitely set to too high a temperature. The restaurant was clean and based upon what I saw other customers being served, it looks like the portions are on the larger side. Their Teriyaki Chicken platter over rice was huge! I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger (no onion) with Fries and my food arrived in a timely manner, was correct and hot! The burger tasted great. The burger patty was on the thin side but reached the sides of the bun and beyond! Lettuce, pickle and tomato were fresh and good tasting. The bun was fresh! The burger was, in fact, exactly what I was hoping for! These Mom and Pop places know how to cook a burger in my opinion. 4/5 stars for Fantasy Burger. My family has been coming here for the past 5 years or so. It's quality food, we order from them at least once a week. Teriyaki chicken is awesome. The chili cheese fries are my daughter's favorite. Just one advice for everyone, make sure your food is fresh. Last time, it was the teriyaki chicken, it was reheated and served to us. You can tell the difference. This time, it was the chili cheese fries. It was microwaved and it didn't taste the same. My daughter hardly ate it. I mentioned it to the cashier and I asked for my money back and she kind of ignored me. Food is awesome, just make sure it's fresh.
