I usually don't leave reviews on fast food establishments or anything chain like really. But, this is some very good and fulfilling food! We had so much leftovers for the dog. We were all super stuffed. We were extremely impressed with the portions, the fried zucchini was a meal in its own. Definitely going to try this place a second time. read more

RESPONSE- NO THANKS- I never what to even hear of you again! I'm so disgusted- I really don't expect you to last long in Lodi- you've already gotten a terrible reputation and the line greatly diminished! UPDATE-I HAVE NOW BEEN 5 times, and 4 of those times were serious screw ups- WHEN I ASKED IN FRUSTRATION, what the problem was- the girl at the window slammed it shut in my face. Hint- they can not cope when you purchase 2 of the same things- they will mess this up every time. Also by now we have tried enough overpriced ( for what you get) items and there is NOTHING fresh - I've had real farm to table, this is not it! AND it takes 3 minutes to get here- and a total of 45 minutes to get through the drive through. With that investment of time and money- I could just go to a sit down restaurant- I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE TO YHIS PLACE, I am DONE. I ordered a California BLT- they had signs advertising their hand mashed Haas avocados- I ordered the sandwich with small fries- $10 and outrageous sum for what you get- AND MY SANDWICH had ZERO avocados on it just a salty wad of bacon in the middle- dry toast, no mayo- with lettuce and a tomato- It's unbelievable you would have the gall to serve this for that price! AND with all the bragging signs everywhere- that you are worth the wait and that you take such care- I would be ashamed to post those signs and serve something like this! I love this place! When they first opened, all I tried were the burgers and sandwiches. They were so good I figured the rest of the menu had to be equally as tasty and I was right. My main go-to for lunch or dinner is the All Natural burger or the Cobb salad. I get breakfast a couple times a month and I always get the Country Chicken Bowl... Try this! Their orange juice is fresh squeezed which surprised me. My only gripe, I downloaded their VIP app and recieved a free entree for my bday that expired because I had the flu and could not redeem it in time. I'd never heard of this franchise before this location opened, but it has quickly become my fav spot. Quality food and comparable prices make Farmer Boys a automatic pick for me. read more

OMG, I have been waiting 6 mos. to get to Lodi to try the new Farmer Bros. restaurant- and what a disappointment!! They are said to specialize in fresh burgers and good breakfasts, so they had my attention. I went for the first time today, and found the place cutely decorated and full of people ordering a plethora of salads, sandwiches, breakfasts, burgers, shakes, fries and the like. I ordered a basic cheeseburger called the Big Cheese- that it. However I asked the cashier of I could change the type of cheese on it, she said no prob. I paid about 5.00 for it. ala carte. ( the meals run 10.00), Kind of a lot for a fast food joint. Anyway, they give you a number (ala carls jr) and bring it out to you. As I'm waiting, I look at my receipt and see that she charged me 50 cents for such a change, which she failed to tell me. I wasn't happy sine the burger already was kinda high priced. Anyway, after waiting 10min, I went uo to the counter and asked if i've been overlooked, and was told flat out that there were still 5 orders ahead of mine- I said "What?? I've been waiting 10 min" and she just pointed me to the computer screen showing orders...I thought to myself I cant care less about there screen, its just a single burger- what gives?? She said in passing to me that " We are a first come first served restaurant" um.....ok, so where the beef??? I complained about the 50 cent charge for jack cheese, which she handed me back the 50 for. ok. She then remarked that " she cant override the system" referring to modifications, and I agreed but told she could 'Pass this on to Mgmt. to fix" and she rudely replied that she WAS a Mgr." LOL . Well, when you have 22 yr old running a place folks, this is what happens. I retreat back to my table, and immediately she appeared with a burger in a to go container, and a bag. well thanks but I was hoping to eat here, Freudian move telling me to BE Gone with Myself?? Hmmm. So I am appreciative to just get some food finally, and then disappointment that the dang thing is COLD!! Im serious, bun, meat, and the cheese wasn't even melted due to the temp. My instincts were to return it, but by then I was so hungry I'd eat a horse......so down it went- every dry , tasteless bite. I wil never return. For the same price, I can go across the street to IN N Out and get a whole hot meal!!!!!!! Stay Away from here, please. read more

My supervisor took me to this location last week, after hearing how much I missed Farmer Boys in SoCal. Not too many up here in NorCal and he wanted to give me as nice a lunch as he could on our company's budget for such things. It was his first time, and mine as well for NorCal. Well, the food was excellent! And the woman who took our order was Mary, and she was just amazing! Well, fast forward a week, and I was in town today and wanted the sandwich he had last week, looked so good! So, I walked in and Mary remembered me, and my name too! Since I already knew what I wanted, the order was easy, but she suggested a couple of things I did not know I could ask for to make it better - and it WAS!!! It was a stressfull day work-wise, but a nice lunch, and a super sweet person making it better just kind of made the day so much nicer than it was starting out to be. I hope they appreciate her, because of her - every time I am in Lodi, I will eat here. The business is hospitality - and many seem to forget that. Isn't hard to be kind - yes, the food is good, but the extra touch is the welcome you get when you walk in the door. Lose that, and you lose customers. Lots of places to eat in Lodi. read more

After two visits, these impressions stand out: 1. Diverse menu, a step beyond the average fast food outlet. 2. Very courteous staff. 3. Plenty of seating room inside, even during peak hours. 4, Superb burgers--recommend the "Natural Cheeseburger." The wife says it's 5 stars alone. The optional deep fried zucchini sticks on the side were large and tasty. 5. Giant salad bowels with plenty of ingredients; you do well to finish one. The wife recommends the Southwest Chicken salad: "fabulous." 6. Three choices of omelets: Denver, California, and Farmer Boys. A Denver omelet is pretty standard, but ask about the content of the others before ordering. Based on experience elsewhere, I didn't expect bacon in my "California" omelet, but that's all that was inside, and a lot of it. Cheese and avocado on the outside. Okay if you love bacon; I don't. I should have asked. 7. Our second visit was at a maximum peak time, noon on Sunday. The place was full; the staff was swamped but trying hard. We waited over 20 minutes for our food, and by the time it arrived, my omelet, toast, and hash browns had cooled down. They'd obviously sat on the service shelf too long before being picked up. (But as mentioned above, the wife had the Natural Cheeseburger with the zucchini, and she said both were outstanding.) 8. Bottom line: the food is good to excellent, but be sure to get an explanation on anything that isn't obvious. Expect a lengthy wait for your food during peak hours. read more

Went for lunch with a friend. Pretty quick service, especially for having just opened. Had a salad and a burger, both were decent, nothing too special but still satisfying. A little too expensive for what you get though. You can go to a full service restaurant for around the same price. (Was $25 for a burger, salad, fries and 2 drinks). read more

Everybody who has made a negative comment must be BROKE and MISERABLE. The food is delicious no restaurant will ever be perfect but I see them inside hustling and if there are mistakes they fix them. They are a brand new store give them a chance people. They still have loose strings to tie up. Went and tried this place out was disappointed, first the lady taking orders at the drive thru couldn't get what we were telling her she kept repeating back the wrong orders was like pulling teeth with this person then we get to the window she forgets to give us the other drink that we ordered so we had to ask for it, then I look in the window the cook scooped fries into the fry bag and I guess he thought there was too many in the fry bag so he started leveling them down with his fingers he took a good amount out then put a few back in with his bare hands no gloves in which I thought was weird and gross, then we get home fries were half way filled & soggy, the avocado burger we ordered had no avocado & looked like a kindergartner made it, the sandwich I ordered was a mess.. and to top it off when we looked at the receipt at home we noticed we were over charged for everything. First time visitor, Rest. was busy..Still we were able to place our order quickly and it was served Fast...People kept coming by asking how it was...could they do anything....which was great...Bacon Cheese Burger was a freaking half a pound of meat . Because of this...cheese was lost, couldn't tell if it was a Cheese burger or not...I also discovered you can order other cheeses...although there is a upcharge for the Jack cheese...I tried the Onion Ring Zuke Squash....both were huge and really yummy...just to much freaking food...Only real complaint is they had regular Dr. Pepper...and they need tocarry Diet Dr. Pepper...then again I am glad they don't...as I would then be there a couple times a week...and BTW Burger King, and quite a few other burger/sandwich shops do...Butcher Block, drive in on corner of kettleman and West Lane...(gone blank on name...) SO PLEASE BRING IN THE DIET DR. PEPPER...and at the end of the day....MY WIFE RANG THE BELL....which is what you do when you like them...kinda fun really read more

Underwhelming as well as overpriced. First problem is they advertised that the food is cooked to order. I find fast food french fries almost universally undercooked so I order then crispy. I was told Farmer Boys doesn't do that, but the fries are great. NOT. They were just past raw undercooked greasy slivers of limp potatoes. Perhaps the worst ever and that takes some doing considering Wendy's and In-n-Out which both badly undercook their fries. My wife had a veggie burger which she said was pretty ordinary and I had a bacon avacado burger combo (thus the fries I couldn't eat). It was OK, BUT the total price for a veggie burger and a burger combo meal was nearly $20. Right across the parking lot is Applebees with its 2 full meals for $20.00 menu and one of those choices is a really good burger with fries cooked thoroughly or any way you want them. I probably won't visit Farmer Bous again and I advise others that if they want a fast food burger, drive a quarter mile west and eat at In-n-Out and ask for your fries crispy - better food, edible fries, and just over half the price. read more
