If this place is known for it's fried chicken, slap me and call me Susan. I didn't want to spend alot of money here so I looked for the most reasonable item I could find. I decided on the kids menu and got the chicken box. A chicken box includes sliced, fried chicken breast and corn bread with their "honey" butter. The chicken was nearly burnt and flavorless with the thick coating falling off the chicken. The cornbread was dry as hell and would fall apart when I would pick it up. I mostly ate it with a fork because it became crumbs. The "honey" butter should be renamed sodium butter. It comes in a little plastic container in two little balls that will send your blood pressure off the charts. Why they call it honey is beyond me. Service was non existent. As soon as my server took my order, she asked me if she could close me out right after. Short staffed maybe? Whatever, I was rushed but didn't really care since I needed to get to my gate for my flight. Next time I'm back, I'll make sure to bring something in so I don't have to eat here. Stay away. The cashier / bartender here does not now the manners of how to deal with customers. The restaurant closes at 1030. I wanted to order a dish at 10:11. When I asked if I could order a dish, his response was "No, the kitchen is closed." coldly. This is not how customer service rep should talk to customers. "Sorry, the kitchen is closed" is what is expected at the very least. People who have been wary of travel at an airport deserve some warmth and respect from service people. This is actually the worst food I've ever had.....not just at an airport but ever. One server who hated her life and didn't want to take anyones orders, one order of terribly undercooked raw chicken wings with the worst "hot sauce" ever made. There aren't many different options for eating at terminal 1 so we stumbled upon this place with mediocre expectations and Farmerbrown's did not meet them by any means. I got the scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes and fruit. Seems pretty basic right? Well how do u mess that up? All logical questions and I promise that the answers are taste and quality of this food. I couldn't even finish the eggs. Tasted like they were cooked a week prior and maybe frozen then heated in the microwave then served. After 3 bites I realized that this was a bad decision. The potato's were ok and edible so that's pretty much the only thing I ate off my plate. The fruit did not look fresh so I didn't even bother trying it. This was pretty much the only option in the airport before flying back home. The menu sounded promising but the food and service were very mediocre. I had the Po Boy and it was about the furthest thing from a Po Boy as you can get. My wife had the fried chicken and it was just okay. The cornbread was very dry so I would skip that. The greens were lacking flavor. I guess it may be expecting too much for an airport place in SF to be able to capture southern style food very well. I am glad I made the decision to stop here and grab before my flight out of Cali. This place is very good! It is small and there probably usually is a wait, however the chicken and waffles were worth it! Not a whole lot of food for $18, but for airport food and portions it's decent. Being a southern gentleman, the chicken was very good! Well seasoned and fresh and the waffles were light and reminded me of a beignet. Airport good is not usually great but Farmerbrown hit the spot with a Po'Boy burger (regular cheeseburger basically). Good meat, good brioche. French friees were served cold and soggy, too bad! The remoulade slaw was spicy and crunchy and a good side option to the burger. Service was super fast (burger came out in less than 5min) which is great for speedy travelers. Only two tables have outlets which is a miss, but overall friendly service and good-ish stop in a terminal with few dining options. read more

Great new spot at SFO! I've now been here twice...once for an early morning breakfast and once for dinner. Had a great experience both times! For breakfast I ordered the Farmer's Plate (2 eggs any style, biscuit, house potatoes and bacon or maple sausage). I swapped out the meat for some fruit and it was deliiiish!! I was in the unfortunate position of a delayed plane...by 5 hours. How pleasantly surprised I was by this delicious meal and drink I got at Farmer Brown. A kale salad with edamame, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, and a delicious vinegarette dressing. The aperol spritz was generously poured, and I truly enjoyed the playlist. So I am flying delta! You must turn right from gate d gates and all my known restaurants! As I head to the c section I am sure I must turn around, but I know it is all mediocre ate best in the Alaska or gate d section. I walk with fear because I am early! Then I find Farmer Brown . Pointed out an mismatch in their marking of dietary restrictions for items on their menu vs the sign outside - It was misleading for me as I walked in thinking I had options on the menu to eat and sat down to find the opposite, I explained this to the waitstaff and requested them to let the manager know about the issue so they can change it for future customers. I was shocked to receive the response "honey you know thats not gonna change" and refusal to let the manager know. Gave the restaurant the benefit of doubt and thought it was just one wait staff who was rude. Addressed the same issue to another who refused to acknowledge the issue until customers around started getting annoyed with the waitstaff being ignorant of the issue which finally forced them to say "maybe I'll tell the manager". They have a great quality of service and delicious foods. Let me share with you all. The service for taking my table is Kenny C. He is a great service because he is so patiently to tell us the most popular foods and the ingredients in each dish. The second restaurant is the Food and drink find the Russian river pliny the elder in AirPort. They are amazing. I order southern fried chicken with Mac chess, and vegetable the chicken is so good!! Plus the seasonal vegetable is so delicious and healthy. Last, the price is acceptable because its average for air port price Definitely recommend and will be back to these restaurants! read more

I stopped in for dinner when I was flying out on October 28th. I had a Pliney the Elder, and for dinner the southern fried chicken with the jalapeño coleslaw and the macaroni and cheese as sides. They weren't very busy so I was a little surprised at how slow the service was. I waited for a while wondering when the server was going to come over and greet me. I looked at my watch after what I estimated to be about five minutes, and it took another five minutes after that. My server was very friendly, once he got over to the table and took my order. I'm from Sonoma County, so I've had a lot of Pliney and their beer just didn't quite taste right out of their tap. I can't quite put my finger on it but it definitely tasted a little off. When the food came out it all looked really good. The fried chicken was hot but tasted a little mealy. The macaroni and cheese was absolutely fantastic, it was hot, creamy and delicious. The coleslaw had a nice crunch but it just tasted kind of bland. I added a little of the Crystal hot sauce that was sitting on the table to the coleslaw and it pepped it up quite a bit. With the hot sauce added it was actually quite good. Overall if it was a freestanding place, I probably wouldn't go back other than maybe for the mac & cheese. But because it's pretty much the only place to get hot food in terminal one at SFO, there really isn't another choice. My advice is if you're going to eat here go pretty basic, like pulled pork or something because anything beyond basic isn't going to be great. read more

I was excited about a new restaurant coming into this airport because some years I fly here a lot. The previous restaurant wasn't bad. However, I left disappointed. I thought chicken and waffles would have been a slam dunk. Maybe I'm spoiled by a locally owned business back home. The waffle had no substance, it was primarily fly air that was hard to taste or even eat with the chicken. Forget putting the cold hard butter they serve with it on there because the waffle comes out cold. I did not care for the chicken either. Not sure if it was the oil or seasoning or breading or all of the above. In comes the spoiled part, I'm accustomed to great gravy on the side so I only use maple syrup on a few bites. But no gravy. No gravy and airy is how my day went. That said, nice decor, beautiful presentation. I will try an omelet next time. read more
