Ok let me be honest I never expect airport food to be good and this was no different. The plus side was the service was quick and courteous. I ordered the wedge salad with blue cheese and the fried chicken. The corn muffin and Mac n cheese were out of stock so I was offered what was in stock. Fries and jalapeño coke slaw. Both plates came out in 1 minute. Normally I expect 1 at a time but no biggie. The salad looked ok, but is what bathing in dressing. The coke slaw was jalapeño and only heat. No mayo, no vinegar just heat. Awful. The chicken for $22 was 1 leg and 1 drumstick. I asked if that's all I got for $22. I was told there is an option for white meat on the menu. Nope there isn't. The food is just as good although it was disappointing that they don't include the catfish nuggets here. Be prepared to wait in line but it is well worth it. First off, the food is good & everything was cooked & seasoned as it should be. The bar for that at airports is usually low, but this isn't a problem here. The service is amazing. A host who was clearly on her break noticed our drinks were sat at the bar, & she checked on us anyway & brought them (a young woman w cute baby hair that was laid super good). I was a bonehead & forgot my backpack, which the server brought to me at my gate (I think his name is Alfredo). If more people were like that, the world would be a better place! My husband and I were here yesterday. We had an absolutely horrible 4.5 hour drive from St. Helena to SFO, and our only saving grace was that our flight had been delayed almost 90 minutes, so we had a bit of extra time to get something to eat. This was around 12:30 p.m., so I expected a long wait, but we were surprised to be seated so quickly. Unfortunately we sat for about 10 minutes without anyone serving us, so I asked the hostess if she could send our server as we did need to get in and out in order to catch our flight. A couple of minutes later a young man came and took our order, and right after that another young man came up and apologized profusely. He said that he was unaware this was his table & that's why he didn't initially greet us. From that point forward everything went very smoothly. Our drinks came out quickly, and the food not too long after that. We decided to just split a cheeseburger, but after it came I wished I'd ordered a whole one for myself. It was delicious! It was definitely one of the best meals I've ever had at an airport. If I find myself back at SFO, I would definitely make a return visit. read more

I was excited about this place as I heard it was similar to gottsroadside (which I couldn't make to because I was in a different terminal) after I got here I order their signature burger with medium rare and for some reason my food came out within 5 mins after putting the order in. (I'm a southerner, it does not take 2 hours to make cornbread.) Bartender said she would provide bread instead. She brought me a hamburger bun. i'm surprised to see so many negative reviews about staff, i guess we just got lucky with a very nice waiter. He was very attentive and we got our food quickly. This location used to be a Perry's or something like that. I've eaten at Farmerbrown in the city a few years ago and it was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised to see them in this location. I ordered a cup of coffee and the vegetarian omelette. Both came out in a reasonable amount of time. One weird thing - they do NOT have toast. Nope. Biscuit, yes. Toast, no. But my server informed me the only bread they have was on the sandwich item on the menu. So if you have bread.... you can't figure out how to toast it? The food was decent. Uninspired, but not bad. So why the two stars? Because the service can make up for meh food. Or make things worse. I asked for some hot sauce with my eggs, and the server brought me Crystal, which is a Louisiana hot sauce - it's very good. The hostess seated a man and a woman two tables from me. They ordered coffee and eggs. The runner, same guy that brought out my food, delivers their coffee, walks over to my table, and without a word takes the hot sauce away from me and puts it on their table. I hadn't even gotten to open it yet. "So you're just going to take my hot sauce, hey?" " Oh, sorry" he mumbled. But he didn't bring it back. I started laughing about how stupid a moment this was. "But not so sorry, apparently, that you're going to bring it back, hey? Is there only one bottle in the entire restaurant?" He slowly brought the bottle back to my table, disappeared into the kitchen, and returned with what must be the only other bottle of hot sauce in the joint. "Sorry 'bout that", he offered. Spilling coffee on somebody, or dropping a plate, I can see apologizing for those things. Those are accidents/mistakes. But deliberately taking something off my table to give to another guest, without as much as a "Hey, are you done with this?" does not qualify. I get that serving is a difficult job at times, and I really do cut servers a ton of slack, as my son waits tables as he works his way through college. This seemed surreal though. The couple at the other table exchanged a "WTF?" look with me so I offered them my cup of coffee. You know, in case there was only the one. So, service was slow and inattentive (my server was around the corner BSing with coworkers and checking her phone rather than tending her section) and just weird. I guess if you have no other option and you are really hungry - this will do. But be sure to keep a firm grip on your hot sauce until you are done with it. That stuff is in high demand. read more

My wife's and my experience was so different than many reviews here. I travel almost every other week for many years. First time here. Service was friendly and engaging. Price much better than many airports (rule that prices are no more Than 20% higher than outside airport). Fried chicken with Mac cheese and cornbread was hot and excellent. Caesar salad with chicken as good as any. $6 beers and some good drafts. Ate at bar, so maybe a factor. Bartender asked each customer about their destination. If you pay $15 for a sandwich you shouldn't find yourself searching for its contents - even at the airport. This was at the walk-up, there is an $18 version in the sit-down area that might be more hearty. Mac and cheese was good, nothing to write home about. They put unmelted cheddar on top. Worst food ever. Cold corn bread with honey butter spread on it then refrigerated and served cold. You can have your eggs any way you want them as long as they are scrambled and come from a chafing dish. Cajun potatoes were a joke. You get 4 pieces of potato the size of a quarter. The turkey sausage was cold. There were a few pieces of fresh fruit on the plate, which looked promising but the bite of cantaloupe had hair on it, the orange slice looked pre-squeezed from someone's drink and the half of a strawberry had dirt under the leaves. Even the coffee wasn't worth the lovely mug it was served in. A cup of coffee and the above breakfast was $22.40. What a disappointment after waiting months for this restaurant to open. read more

I ordered a jambalaya and it looked sad. Someone just scoop a pre-made, barely warm, scatter across to make it fill up edge to edge with no garnishing whatsoever bowl of Jambalaya. It definitely did not have any garnishing that their other restaurants have. I ate it because it cost $30 after tax and tip. I didn't want to board a flight with an empty stomach. If I'd seen what it looked like before ordering, you'd have to pay me to eat it. On a positive note, it wasn't busy and the service was fast (since the food was pre-made). They have the only TVs in the terminal and there is playoff football on both, but he wouldn't turn the volume on for "noise pollution". The bartenders would, but he made them turn it off. This place has some amazing chicken and waffles. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Juicy on the inside and a nice golden crisp on the out. The waffles were light and fluffy.
