This was the worst papaya salad I have ever had in my life. It was so salty I had to spit it out and it was not edible, unfortunately. I was excited to try this food truck as I had a craving for papaya salad to pair with some other food I got from another food truck nearby. The food came out in 10 minutes after I placed my order. I got the Thai coffee, summer rolls, and the lime juice. All were really good. They give you plenty of food portions in the summer rolls. Definitely bring bug spray if you go in the evening, the mosquitoes in the area are not the best. Definitely worth going to and eating at. Highly recommend! Service was fast and they have a few benches you can eat at. The whole area is food trucks which is cool! I stopped at a few other food trucks along my journey! read more

I love having this yummy spot so close but, especially considering Kaneohe's limited Thai options. Their menu is not big but they make food well. They are so nice, you feel like family. My 1st time eating here and the food was amazing. Reason for my visit was because I wanted to eat "mango sticky rice". It definitely did not disappoint. It was very ono! I also tried their "pineapple curry with shrimp", omg that was delicious! The service was quicker than I thought it would be. Their wagon sat in the corner but it was clean and it has a few tables with benches to sit and enjoy your food. Very friendly people. I returned 2 more times after that day and plan to return often. I met a retired couple that 1st time I ate there and learned they have been eating here for 10 yrs. They live in Aiea which is far away from Kahuku, but said whenever he has a craving for Thai food he makes that drive just for his favorite dish, the "house special". Of course on my next visit I did order the "house special" and learned very quickly why that gentleman loved this dish. Besides being very tasty, that plate was packed. I couldn't finish it all. I was so full. But my husband finished his entire plate in a flash. He loved it, and said he'll be ordering that again. I highly recommend. Oh I forgot, we also tried the spring AND summer rolls. If you're craving Asian food while in North Shore, give Fassay Thai a try! [Location] It is located close to the Sugar Mill alongside other food trucks in Kahuku. Plenty of free parking. The truck is blue, if that helps! There were three park style tables with benches. [Phone Order] I called to place my order to give them ample time to cook the food, as they cook to order. It was easy! Friendly staff! [Food] I ordered the Pad See Yew with Shrimp ($13) and my boyfriend got the Thai Basil Chicken ($12). Reasonably priced! I believe they have a $6 card minimum. Normally when I order anything with shrimp, I get 3 measly pieces. Fassay Thai gave me maybe triple that amount! The rice noodles were thicker than I'd like but tasty. Broccoli was well-cooked. Personally I would've loved more of a kick, or more flavor--but it was tasty nonetheless. I'd give my fish a 4.5/5. I added some fish sauce and sriracha to liven things up. The basil chicken was amazing! Thai basil flavor really comes out. Chicken and veggies well-cooked. Rice was good too! You know a place by how it cooks the rice. Pad se ew 4/5 - flavor was good but it's different than what I'm used to in CA. flavor was a little more mild and not as flavorful. The noodles here are also a lot thicker but that could just be due to the limited ingredients on the island. Stopped to get a snack with my friend. Spring rolls were okay not enough lettuce leaves for the order no mint and had to tear tiny lettuce in half and still none to go on last one. Summer rolls were fine peanut sauce was pretty good. Ordered 2 lime drinks and only got one. When we asked where the other drink was girl working was kinda rude. Instead of trying to fix it she just waved the credit card receipt at us saying we only paid for one! No I'm sorry I'll ring you up for another. Don't think I'll go back. I ordered the Pad Si Ew (shrimp), spring rolls, and Pad Thai (chicken). The Pas Si Ew WAS EW smelled and tasted rotten! Every part of it broccoli, shrimp, noodles everything. Other than the rotten taste there was nothing else to this dish. The pad Thai smelled fine but also tasted horrible. I can't believe this truck! Amazing Thai food! We ordered 8 dishes to share-- family-style and everything was delicious! Pad thai, mango sticky rice, fried rice, spring rolls, eggplant, a soup, papaya salad, and yellow chicken curry-- ALL were so tasty! Great open-air seating on picnic bench. Food came fast, and place was clean. The person taking the order was so nice and accommodating to our group. Highly recommend! Lots of parking (lunchtime on a weekday). I live locally to this Thai Wagon and it's basically the only food truck that I go to on a regular basis. The steak salad is phenomenal, spring rolls and the summer rolls are always delicious. We ordered the spring rolls, which were small and overcooked. The Penang chicken curry sauce was tasty, but there were only a few small pieces of chicken and a lot of potatoes. I would not recommend the spring rolls, and if ordering chicken dishes, make sure they add the meat. read more

We came here randomly because we saw some food trucks off the side of the road. I wasn't sure which to choose from, because you never really know with food trucks. A nice lady in one of the art shops mentioned that the Thai Wagon is one of her favorite trucks, so we had to check it out. The food came out quickly, was steaming hot, and tasted delicious. If I can fully enjoy a HOT off the pan meal that also has a little kick of spice while already sweating from the Hawaii heat, it must be something special! Pad see ew with shrimp - 5 stars, medium spice level (not for the spice sensitive though), huge portion for sharing Mango sticky rice - 5 stars, comes out hot, mango perfectly ripe, perfect sweet treat, also great for sharing My only negative is that their card machine wasn't working when we were there, so bring cash! read more

While driving around the island we stopped at this food truck area. I've had Thai food so I begrudgingly came here when my friend wanted to order food. To my surprise, the food was much better than what we have at home. I have to give kudos to the fantastic cook here. It was really amazing. The spring rolls stayed crisp all day while we explored the island. The papaya salad was perfect!! I've become particular with how papaya salad is made. This one is one of the best. It also wasn't heavily doused in seasoning like I seen in other cities. It was like this flavor was made effortlessly. My friend also ordered kao peak and it was amazing. Definitely a good option. This is one of my favorite choices when stopping at the Kahuku food trucks. While everyone else waits in line for shrimp, I make my way over for a tasty Thai treat. My favorite is the Tom Kha soup but sometimes it is a bit too warm for a bowl of soup. On my most recent visit, I decided to branch out and try the Pad Kee Mao. I love the flat noodles and there was plenty of chicken and bits of broccoli throughout. Too often I've experienced Thai food that has an underlying burnt taste, possibly from pans that have been used for many years. I don't get any of this from Fasay and can enjoy the fresh blend of flavors in every dish. Sorry - no food pix! I was too hungry and it looked too delicious. Next time!! read more

Delicious. Authentic. Highly recommend and I've been to Thailand. Beware spice level, we did medium for our green papaya salad and we handle Thai chilis well and we could barely eat it lol. Prob had 6 chilis in it. Stick with mild even if you handle spice well. Do medium if you wanna sweat lol. Added updated menu pics as I couldn't find any decent ones on Yelp. Enjoy! Food was AMAZING. The peanut sauce for their summer rolls was perfect! It wasn't too thick or overly spiced. I also ordered mango sticky rice and they served it warm! I've never had it warm before but I can't complain because it was so delicious! The mango was ripe and the coconut sauce had the perfect amount of sweetness. This establishment never disappoints. I work in Kailua and by the time I'm get back home it's almost 6ish this is my go to when I can't make up my mind. We're there so often aunty knows ours orders already. We've ordered pad Thai chicken, pad Thai shrimp. Made to order and we always choose medium spice. My cousin on the other hand get the mango rice. She loves it! Our food always comes out hot and ready. Especially those egg rolls. It's amazing to see small business thrive off of locals (including myself) & tourist. Honestly, 9 out of 10 shrimp places back home in Southern California make a better plate. To make things worse, the two ladies managing the truck were rude. My wife asked for extra napkins, not realizing some were already in the bag. The worker snapped back, "Are those not enough?" and made her feel super awkward. We also asked for a cup of ice to go with our canned sodas. They flatly refused and told us to ask another truck nearby. Luckily, the other truck owners were much nicer and gave us the ice. Save your time and money. There are much better, friendlier options out there.

For the poke bowls and salad you can get either a regulah (1 choice poke) or mayjah (2 choices of poke). It comes with the cucumber namasu but be sure to add on a scoop of their crab salad! Their garlic wave and lao style poke were two or my faves. The Lao style has a kick with Thai chili peppers and loved the fried garlic bits! If you're trying poke for the first time, you gotta try the sweet ginger shoyu. The poke nachos here are next level, it's like a beautiful mess with all the right flavors and textures. I got the #9 plate, which is kalua pork, huli chicken, and I got mac salad. The kalua pork meat itself was fine. Not gristly and not too fatty. However, barely any smoke taste to it and was fairly bland. The huli chicken didn't have crispy skin. It seemed lukewarm like it had been cooked a while earlier and was just sitting. The sauce is amazing and I do think it's delicious with the sauce. Rice was just rice. Meh. Even adding shoyu didn't add much flavor to it, to be honest. The mac salad is extremely bland. I don't know if they need to add some acid to the mayonnaise or more salt, but it was pasty and no flavor. I would honestly skip getting the mac salad next time and get regular salad! That's how bad this mac salad was. Two slices of pineapple on the plate were fresh and flavorful. I did enjoy these. Service was okay. I had asked if they still honored kama'aina discount and was told no. That's fine; I understand not all places offer discounts. I don't know when kama'aina discount stopped being offered, but back in the day I used to receive it when asking. I did notice though that two guys who ordered before me got a "mahalo, braddah" in a friendly tone but I got a terse "thanks." Guess haole girls don't get mahalos even if local. It's just uncomfortable when certain people get friendly, effusive mahalos and others get terse thanks, like I didn't want to be serving you food today. Maybe cause it was Mother's Day and they didn't want to be there? Sure didn't feel like 'ohana today. So many flies around, it made eating uncomfortable. A few fly fans on tables but not at the one where I was seated, so it was basically like constantly shooing away flies and trying to take a bite of food super fast before they came back on my food. Probably I should have taken my food away and gone to the beer garden nearby with fewer flies. Meh. I used to really like Mike's but I will stick to Da Bald Guy and Seven Brothers when I visit the sugar mill in the future.
