Fried cheesecake

Went here twice. Both on a trip back and forth on a train. It's right next to the train station. It's not bad. The buger (and the foid on general) wasn't overly flavorful. The first time I went I stood in the lobby for like 15 minutes before a person came out. Which wasn't a huge deal because i ordered online, but it felt weird that no one came out. Eventually they did and placed a bell on the counter and then within a few moments I had my food. The big theme is "late night food" I'm sure if it's was late I might feel different but overall it felt like someone who really like Jack in the box decided to open a bar. It wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination but not mind blowing either.

It's embarrassing that I can be this confident that the jalapeño poppers are from the exact same supplier as Jack in the Box, but I've had way too many late night orders from Jack's over the years and a bitch knows. Sorry. But Jack's are cheaper and their ranch is better. Munchie Madness Platter was pretty disappointing for $20. It would be way less sad-looking if you maybe throw in a couple more pieces, or toss in a cheap filler like french fries or something, or make your own sauces/dressings instead of using Ken's brand packets (they're gross; I just throw them out unopened). Maybe these are not remotely realistic suggestions...I'm definitely no expert, so don't mind me.

When you're craving something healthy you don't go to a place called Fat Shack. But if you are looking for a cheat meal with something fried, cheesy and gooey this is your spot. The burgers were well seasoned and cooked, the onion rings fried to a nice golden crisp and chicken wings were juicy with right bite off the bone. The staff was friendly and got us our food quickly. They also got some sandwiches that were packed with the ingredients but that's something to be tackled on the next cheat day.

I'm so glad Fat Shack was here! I had a little time to get a meal before jumping on my train and a burger was in order. I got the Classic meal. The fries were fantastic! Crispy and well seasoned. The burger was nice and simple, overcooked just a fuzz, with a little too much pepper. It was a good sized meal for a great price! I'll definitely be back! Good food, great location, good service!

This place is just fine. For some reason, I was expecting it to be a fast food place, not a table service bar/restaurant. Prices were a lot more expensive than I thought and the venue had a lot of different menu items, beer options, and seating like a sit-down bar/restaurant would offer. I came here on a weekday lunch and it was completely dead. But then again, this whole area seems to be dead after the pandemic (quite sad actually). Maybe this place gets busier in the evening and late nights but I am not sure what keeps this place going. Perhaps game days/nights around the stadiums but even that, there are other options that are within closer proximity. The food was good! I ordered the Single Burger and a small size of fries. Total came to $16 including tax and tip. The burger was very very well made visually and the fries were fried to near perfection. If you like extra crispy fries, you will love them here. The venue is a lot cleaner than how it looks from the outside and the official food safety rating is "Excellent". That's really about it. Maybe I will give them another visit before or after one of the sporting events nearby. But here is the thing (circulating back to how I started the review) - if we are talking about a proper sit-down bar/restaurant (like this place is claiming to be), I am just not sure if this place is competitive enough in terms of its appeals. As mentioned, the place is clean, the food is good, service is okay, etc. but it just needs ...a little something more. And of course, this is just my opinion. Many would disagree.

Food was fresh, first time here and it was good. Everybody loved the food. Signed up for rewards adding my number and automatically earned points that got me free dessert.

FUQ, why is this so damn good? Fat Shack will make you fat. Do not eat here. Because when you try it, you will love it; thus, you will continue to go and get fat. Do not eat here. I visited Fat Shack for lunch one day because this eatery is supppper close to where I work, so it's convenient AF. Also, I learned that Fat Shack was featured on Shark Tank and Travel Channel, so decided to see what the fuss was all about. On a weekday during the lunch hour, the place was pretty busy. So I recommend if you're in a hurry, like on a lunch break, order ahead of time because the food is made as it's ordered. That's always a good sign. But if you want something fast then this isn't that. Fat Shack is known for their fat sandwiches. They're all fat because they're filled with food you should not be eating like chicken strips, french fries, bacon, cheese sticks, anything you'd have a hankering for when you're wasted, etc. There's also different sizes, based off the inches of the bread it's on. The regular size is nine inches, the large is a foot long and a small size is six inches. I ordered a regular gorbies sandwich with a side of fries. My order took about half an hour to get, so again, order ahead if you're in a hurry. The gorbies sandwich was so freaking good though! My sandwich came with chicken strips, bacon, fries, cheddar cheese, lettuce and ranch. And the freaking bread was perfect, with a soft dense texture inside yet with a crispy exterior, for that bite. How the heck did they manage that? The sandwich was delicious. Everything was very tasty, but you really can't go wrong with chicken strips and bacon and fries and cheese and lettuce and ranch. I mean, really. SO, SO good. It just kills me that this and any of the food here at Fat Shack is not good for you. You will eat your suggested calories for the day in one item here, seriously. And the fries were double dipped, so had that extra crunch on them. NOMS. I'm glad I tried Fat Shack, which is exactly the kind of place that would be featured on Travel Channel since there's a lot to love here. Should I even mention the DEEP FRIED OREOS OR TWINKIE here? Yeah, this is food that should not be eaten on the daily or weekly or monthly. Maybe like, twice a year. But it's so damn good...SEE YOU THERE SOON!

This was a really solid choice after a couple of drinks out and about. It's a sandwich full of comfort food! They are also very customizable with the options so I could easily make one of the options vegetarian. They did take more time to make the order than others, but it was super well packaged! Nothing leaked or tipped over with how it was double wrapped and bagged. Can't speak to ambiance as we got take out. I'd definitely order late night noms again!

If you are in the mood for some not so good for you but utterly satisfying food, Fat Shack is the place to go. They are open late til 3am and offer burgers, wings, cheesesteak, fat stuffed sandwiches with sides including fries, onion rings and cheese fries. If you are in the mood for something sweet they offer deep fried Oreos, deep fried funnel cake and deep fried cheesecake. It is a low key eatery with good service.

It is a small spot (sorta) so you kind of get in where you fit in. We ended up at the bar and honestly it worked out perfectly. Our bartender was friendly, engaging and just made us feel right at home. Another staff member came through at some point and was equally as kind. The service all around was great. Now let me talk about the food because that cabbage had no business being that good. I know that sounds random but it was my favorite thing and I did not see that coming. The mac and cheese was delicious, the fried chicken was really good, and my husband was all about the rice and black eyed peas (surprisingly). I also ordered a non alcoholic drink and even though I cannot remember the name it was really good too. The only minor thing was that one of the items, I think it was the hush puppies or cornbread, came out a little lukewarm. They mentioned it can be hard to keep that particular item hot, and flavor wise it was YUM so it was not a dealbreaker. Everything else comes out fresh as it's cooked so just know timing can vary by dish. It did get crowded toward the end and they politely let us know people were waiting outside. They handled it with so much grace it did not feel uncomfortable at all. I will definitely be back. Already curious about what will be on the menu next time.

This was hands down my favorite meal of my weekend trip. I found this spot through TikTok, and it…read morecame highly recommended. We didn't have a reservation, but after about a 10-minute wait, we were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. The seating seems intentionally designed to bring people together, and you could see it in the mix of large groups, couples, and even solo diners. Like the name, it had a "communal" energy that made the space feel alive and intimate. The hostess, bartenders, and our waitress were all phenomenal. They were attentive and easy to talk to. Also, the playlist was good. It really added to the overall experience. We started with the sweet potato hoe cakes, and they were absolutely amazing. I loved the texture. They were soft, pillowy, and balanced. They weren't too sweet, even with the honey butter. I wish I'd ordered more to go because I haven't stopped thinking about them. I'll have to try recreating them at home. For my entree, I ordered the stuffed trout, and this is where things really took off. It's a whole fried trout stuffed with a seafood dressing (shrimp, catfish and oysters), and it immediately caught my eye on the menu. I'm not used to eating whole fish, and I don't think I'd even had trout before, but this dish was mouthwateringly good. The fish was crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The béarnaise sauce really set it off. There were so many layers of flavor and texture, and everything just worked together perfectly. On top of that, the presentation was stunning. I posted it on my Instagram story and immediately had people asking where my food was as from. This meal was very memorable. I have zero notes. The ambiance, food, music, and service were all top-tier. Side note: There is a 5% "communal" surcharge added to every bill. The money is used to support staff benefits, the support staff, and the line cooks. This is separate from the gratuity. This surcharge is clearly explained on the menu, and I really love and appreciate the transparency and that they care about the employees. But yeah. Super good. We love a good meal and we damn near left there skipping.

This is not a review I ever expected to write…read more For a long time, I genuinely enjoyed Vindicktive. I brought friends, family members, colleagues, employees, and business associates here on a regular basis--sometimes multiple times per week. The food, especially the wings, is excellent and one of the main reasons we kept coming back. Unfortunately, the customer service experience became impossible to ignore. What started as an occasional issue eventually became a consistent pattern of feeling unappreciated as customers. The more we supported the business, the more it seemed that basic hospitality, professionalism, and conflict resolution were lacking. Instead of feeling welcomed, many of us began leaving with the impression that our presence was tolerated rather than valued. What is most disappointing is that this isn't based on a single bad interaction. It is the accumulation of experiences over time, involving multiple visits and multiple people from my circle who reached the same conclusion independently. I believe every business has difficult days. Every employee can have an off moment. What separates great businesses from average ones is how they respond when concerns are raised. In my experience, there appears to be very little interest in understanding customer concerns or resolving issues in a way that leaves people feeling respected. As a Seattle business owner myself, I understand how difficult it is to operate in today's economy. That is precisely why customer relationships matter so much. Every customer chooses where to spend their hard-earned money, and every business has a responsibility to make people feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected. The unfortunate reality is that Vindicktive currently feels less like a professionally managed business and more like an environment where personal dynamics often overshadow customer experience. Whether intentional or not, that perception has caused many people in my circle to stop visiting altogether. I take no pleasure in leaving this review. In fact, I delayed writing it for quite some time because I hoped things would improve. The food remains very good, and I genuinely wanted to continue supporting this establishment. My hope is that ownership reads this, not as an attack, but as an opportunity. Great food can bring people through the door, but great service is what keeps them coming back. Until meaningful changes are made, I can no longer recommend Vindicktive to friends, family, colleagues, clients, fellow downtown residents or visitors from abroad visiting for the 2026 World Cup or any other occasion that our great city host in the foreseeable future. 1 Star Review I am an Official Elite Yelper. Feel free to reach out to me directly for great options in Seattle and additional feedback!

It also only had 2 kinds of Vietnamese cold cut meats, which I didn't mind, but it needed more in there. There's a super thin layer of mayo and pate I think. Bread was very fresh! I give 3/5 Kimchi fried rice had good kimchi flavor. Portion size was large. 10 piece fried chicken (wings) was good. The skin was way fattier than I would've liked and it could've been fried longer to help melt some of the fat out and make it crunchier. It was super hot, fresh, and juicy though. Radish was free. It came with sauce but only on the side. Personally, I would want to try other korean fried chicken places to compare before coming back here again Waffle fries come with either ranch or ketchup. Large portion sizes! For all we ordered, it was around $55. Great price for the portions and variety imo. Service was outstanding as I mentioned. One older woman worker felt like she was my auntie. Flavor wise, it leaned more toward the sweeter side and was not very spicy. We ordered the full-size fried chicken, which allows you to choose two flavors. You can add a third flavor for $1, while the half order comes with only one flavor. We chose Golden Honey, a savory sweet sauce, and the Kalbi sauce, which has a Korean BBQ profile with a sweet soy flavor. For my taste, both sauces were slightly on the salty side. The server was very friendly and checked in on us regularly. They also let us know that we could ask for more pickled radish at any time, which was a nice touch. Also not going to lie, I don't know how it feel for a restaurant specializing in Korean Fried Chicken and is also selling Vietnamese Banh Mi. It made me question the quality of the fried chicken.
