Came in during COVID times. Got a custom fat burger fat fries and a drink. Also got 2 other meals including chili cheese fries and a shake. The burger was alright. Not super juicy but has a charbroiled kind of taste. Reminded me of Burger King. The fat fries were hot but too soft. They needed more crunch. The chili in the fries taste like it was Hormel from the can. There was not enough cheese on the fries. The banana milkshake was good. This has been a go-to joint for my family for many years and has a throwback interior theme (circa 1960?), jukebox included. The burgers themselves are quite unique, overall quite good. They come in several different sizes, ranging from medium to XXXL (I think there even used to be a "baby fat" size, which was smaller than medium). It's hard to describe them, but I would characterize them as being somewhere between a traditional greasy fast food burger and some of the gourmet burgers you might find at like a Five Guys or Umami Burger. Just moved here from the east coast. And it was my first time having Fatburger in 10 years when I had it in Vegas for my friend's bachelor party. With that said I don't remember it being this good. I ordered a half pound burger with bacon and ameican cheese online for pickup. When I arrived I was greeted by Oscar. The ETA for the order was still 10 minutes away but Oscar said it would only be a couple of minutes. Oscar made the experience much better. He was polite, friendly, and attentive. The burger itself came out about 3 minutes later. It was hot, fresh, and juicy. Not to mention huge. It filled me up more than a In-N-Out 3x3. While I like both, I thought fatburger was the better burger when you feel like you want a heavier burger. Something more robust with bacon. Nice juicy patties and ingredients makes the burger burst with flavor! Plus the fat fries are super addicting! Paired with an Arnold Palmer you can make yourself at the drink fountain and ready, set and happily dig in! I had forgotten how DELICIOUS these burgers are. Only down side, the bread kind of fell apart a little bit when I got back to my place to eat, probably from the BBQ sauce seeping into the buns but nonetheless, I was VERY satisfied with my meal. My husband loves this place simply for the size options on these burgers and fries. They are massive and they are a good price. It's a cute little old school vibe going on in there, you can see the kitchen preparing food which is pleasing. I personally don't find the burgers to be extraordinary unless you start adding all the extra items like bacon avocado etc which defeats the ability to say the burgers alone are great. If you come in on Tuesday they have a happy hour time I can't remember but it's before 8 and you can buy one burger combo and get another free which is a great deal!! So you order at the counter and add your toppings to a variety of sized burgers from small to XXL and pay the cashier and they give you a table number. I usually get the medium. Im pretty boring, I like American cheese, shredded lettuce, onions and pickles. I add my own ketchup, if I add any at all and I order it on a what bun. Since I always order it well done there is no sign of pink in sight. The burger is gone within 5 minutes. And honestly I can eat 2. Fountain drinks are available, including iced flavored teas, milk shakes or water. I stick to water. Its kind of expensive for fast food. 1 medium cheeseburger and 1 Boca cheese burger with bacon and avocado cost about $12 and some change. Lots of other toppings for the adventurous types. Like avocado, bacon, egg, ect. Turkey and Boca veggie burgers are available. Fries and onion rings are optional with self serve ketchup to dip in. I'm giving it 3 stars. Its always consistent when I come here, and I will always have a love for fat Burger. They offer a XXL large burger, where they take your picture and post it on the wall if you finish it. read more

The only reason we stopped in here was for the chili on the burger, we order, and $31.00 later, they are out of chili and I sit down to an absolutely filthy restaurant. Absolutely disgusting. I'm only here for my guy. I haven't even eaten a bite yet but the experience here is horrible. I do remember the cashier saying this was a franchise and not a corporate location. I am not in any hurry to revisit. Too many health code violations to count!! Oh wait, make that $32.20 for our meal as they charged an extra $1.20 for 2 BBQ sauces that are NOT included in the chicken strip order!!! And they messed up our burger order as it was made without mustard when it was requested. Really infuriating. Despite the unappetizing dining area, the crispy chicken sandwich I selected was pretty good. Their onion rings were good, too. In all these years I'd never gone to a Fatburger until today. The interior was clean but rough around the edges; it looks like it has been quite a few years since it's been painted or given some care. The workers seem to be there to put their time in - no smiles, they just seemed as if they'd rather be anywhere else. I got a large burger with everything except onions (plus cheese) and a chocolate milkshake. The burger was enormous. You could have played frisbee golf with it. The meat was thin and cooked well done & dry (I much prefer to have some juiciness to it). The milkshake was yummy-delicious. An excellent shake. Both were priced a bit high, I think. I love Fat burger! It's staple of the southern California burgers, and culture of LA. Grilled to order and all the outlandish toppings you can think of on a burger. I've been to plenty of Fat Burgers from Redondo and across state lines all the way to Las Vegas. This little one in Buena Park always does it right they're always friendly and professional. And the food always comes out perfect. I don't think I've ever had an issue with an order here and I've never had something undercooked or overcooked. I understand it's nothing that difficult but you'd be surprised how many places I've tried Fat Burger and it does happen. They do close very early which is understandable due to the location.
