This gives you two half-pound burgers with double patties. Now take off the top patties - this gives you two quarter-pound burgers and two extra patties. You can put the extra patties on English muffins (I call these "special burgers"), or crumble them up and use them in spaghetti, curry or tacos. I really enjoy coming to this Fatburger. I feel the burgers are always fantastic, (and you can customize your burger however you like) and the fries (I prefer the fat fries, but the skinny fries are nice too.) are good as well. The employees are nice, and the service is wonderful. The restaurant is always clean, if you want to dine in, that's nice. They are open late, and that's really a plus I enjoy, especially in this part of Palms/Mar Vista. I can see why In & Out refuses to sell franchises... they don't want anyone screwing their name and quality up! The burger buns were STALE. The lettuce wasn't fresh. The patty was DRY. The bbq sauces was sour and the ranch and thousand island were insipid. The attitude of the guy that gave me the sauce was terrible. The milkshakes don't come with whipped cream unless you ask for them... We bought 4 burgers, one order of onion rings, an order of fries and 2 milkshakes. Oh yeah only one size is available when ordering milkshakes. Onion rings and steak fries were ok. $60 down the toilet. I should've known this place was a dump just from the exterior. I would've rather gone to shake shack, five guys, in and out, burger lounge, the counter, or smash burger and spend $60. The impossible burger with impossible cheese (5/5) The patty tastes like the patty from a McDonalds big mac. Proof that there was never meat in those BigMacs in the first place. Just kidding. The patty was a little tougher than the McDonalds patty, consistently tougher, like meat that has been cooked too long, but definitely didn't taste that way. I actually very much enjoyed it, and given how the burger is lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, bun, and patty, I don't think it'd taste much different anywhere else. For hardiness you might want to double stack it, but for taste, just a single patty is enough. I think this is the cheapest place you can try the impossible burger at, and this is easily the most meat tasting vegan burger I've ever had. The place is basically empty, one person is eating nearby and the staff clearly didn't have a lineup of orders, Auuusto took my order, she was very polite and friendly but completely punched in my order incorrectly.
