Come on!!! It's FATBURGER!!!! Been going since I arrived in LA! 1983! BOY the after club burger was soooo delicious, back in the day!!! LOL! We would go to the original location (no more, sadly) on La Cienega after a night, helped with the hangovers, lololol. Speed up to today, we have had to take a break from each other for years and then we would get back together, lol! Seriously, now my hubby and I treat ourselves every few months and like the location on Venice the best!!! Always greeted with a hello! The customer service is always spot on at this location! Customers talk to each other (or not, no one is offended). The wall of the XXXX burger is fun to look at and who knows, you may recognize a person or two! We were there when 2 female Missionaries saw one of their missionary buddy's on the wall!!! You never know! It was their first time and they were AMAZED at the deliciousness of the fatburger! Will never come here again. It took them 30 minutes to make me my plain turkey burger and I was the ONLY one in line. Their excuse was they "lost my ticket." They couldn't even ask why I was standing there so long? I also told them five times no sauce. When I finally got the burger; low & behold it was burned and full of sauce. The customer service here is hideous and the cleanliness leaves some to be desired as well. Also the prices; $9 plus tax for not even a combo. The first time I heard of this place was in The Fast and The Furious and I thought it was a made-up fast food joint. Lo-and-behold, I moved to Socal and have lived next to one for the last 11 years. In the best sense of the term, these taste like burgers you'd have at a backyard grill party. Simple ingredients, cooked well. I had a turkey burger that I gave special instructions ask for extra mustard which was not provided on my burger but overall burger was good. I dine in the music station was great but the condiments needed a refilling they was out of ketchup which goes Amazing on fries but if you need to use the restroom their is not one. The ordering was seamless and make sure you know what type of fries you want. They have skinny fries and fat fries which are thicker boardwalk style fries. They also have onion rings too. I orderes the Oreo milkshake and it was delicious. They put real ice cream and oreos that made the milkshake thick and sweet! I hope to actually order their burgers next time, but do try out their milkshakes!! Saturday 15 June at 1am I was assigned to pick up food delivery orders from Uber. I have arrived at the place and very unusually couple of the guys who respond to the delivery drivers were DRUNK and were not able to hear me or pay attention. They were just smiling with a sleepy face and already messing up customers orders who were dining over their. I have been picking up food at this location for 2yrs and I have never seen this happening. After waiting for 10mints I have asked them again regarding the orders and still the same.. drunk smiles and sleepy faces ... unbelievable to see.. I just left the place and asked one of the guy who was coming from outside throwing the trash.. were they drunk? He replied I think everyone is drunk, they acting drunk and slow... Been a while that wrote a review. I normally don't post a review until I visit the same place twice or the place is extremely good the first time. I ordered Fatburger medium size meal set. I highly anticipated a high quality burger; it turned out to be pretty average. I made comparison to In-n-out and Shake Shack and I would say Fatburger takes the last place. The only thing that made me remember about the burger was the mustard. It reminded me of true American home BBQ, charbroiled burger. However, it also made me think about the mediocre quality overall. The bread wasn't chewy as what's from shake shack and the price wasn't as outstandingly cheap as in n out. Two meal sets would allow four meal sets from in n out. I hope people realize what Fatburger offers is pretty darn average. I think you can find better places to dine. The meat quality is so-so and both fat and skinny fries are also okay but I don't think the burger itself can beat in n out and shake shack. It's definitely pricier than what I thought and if you are expecting something of quality for the buck you are paying, you are at the wrong spot. I should have complained to them but I don't like to cause problems. I didn't even get to order because I was shooed away by the man on the register because I politely asked two questions before ordering "are the turkey and impossible patties cooked on the same grill as everything else and do you guys have juice" because this was my first time coming here, I have a pork allergy and my fiancé doesn't eat read meat. I have to say this was a good first time experience. Definitely a burger with a challenge (XXL) that you can enjoy. The cashier and staff were great at guiding you through the process of ordering your burger. I took on the (XXL) which was satisfying lol. One of the best Fatburgers around. They have a charbroiler to cook the burger properly. The chain went down hill when Magic bought it and made them over cook the burgers.
