This moving company is excellent - I reached out to several and Robert contacted me immediately and gave a fair price estimate for our move. Kakimbek and Raimbek were our movers and both are FANTASTIC. They are personable and charming and made sure they were getting everything done according to our needs. We were impressed by their professionalism and care for our items. If you want a stress free move hire them!!

We are deeply disappointed in the poor quality of service and customer support we received during our move from California to Texas. From the very beginning of the job we had issues: * The Father & Sons representative that came to our home on 9/6/24 (Daniel) was COMPLETELY unprofessional and disorganized, blaming Colonial for the problems. Towards the end of the day he began threatening to double or triple our final weight at the truck scales if we didn't Venmo him a tip!! * We were told that our belongings were going to be picked-up and transported on an 18-wheeler, but a small U-Haul truck arrived instead. * We were never informed that our belongings were going to be unloaded and reloaded onto different vehicles multiple times during transit, or that our belongings would be left in a storage locker for over a week. * We were told 3 different times that our belongings were being delivered on a specific date, took days off work, and guaranteed that the delivery would arrive no later than 9/20/24. We were told there would be 3 people unloading the truck and reassembling our furniture but only 2 men did the work, which seriously slowed down the process, and we ended up doing a lot of the work ourselves because the driver slept in the truck the entire time and left as soon as the items were finished being unloaded. * The movers did not have the keys to the lock on the back of the truck and we had to give them a crowbar to open the doors. * There was no consistent communication between Colonial, Father& Sons, and us. It was obvious that Colonial was not aware of the location or schedule of Father & Sons vehicle. Colonial customer service called us multiple times asking if the delivery had occurred yet. * We were told multiple times that the truck was in a different location than it actually was despite having our GPS tracker in the shipment. We have multiple screenshots showing the trucks route. * The truck was not stored in secure areas during the shipping process. At one point it was parked for over 12-hours in a Home Depot parking lot while Father & Dons dispatch repeatedly told us it was "on the way." * We were FORCED to sign a revised contract and pay for the move before anything was unloaded from the truck despite our belongings obviously being damaged. * Ultimately the truck arrived at 4:30pm and the movers did not leave our home until after 2:30am on 9/22/24 and our belongings were damaged and left unassembled. When the van was opened our belongings were obviously damaged and thrown around the interior by being moved multiple times. * All the furniture that was picked-up our 8' x 10' storage unit was not wrapped by the movers, despite the fact they assured us everything would be: o Vintage dining table legs are broken o Brand new baby crib is damaged (not wrapped by movers) o Packing boxes broken open o Leather La-Z-Boy recliner damaged (not wrapped by movers) o Nightstand doors broken o Broken laundry hamper o Broken lamps o Damaged chaise lounge cushion (not wrapped by movers) o Wooden headboard damaged o Damaged side table o Wooden dresser drawers damaged o Black entertainment center damaged o Shattered picture frames and broken glass o Ripped baby changing mat (not wrapped by movers) o Custom wood coffee table damaged (not wrapped by movers) o We have not unpacked ALL boxes to see if additional items are broken We have called repeatedly during this ordeal and tried to be as patient and respectful as possible but no one has taken any action to resolve this situation. No one has offered any form of compensation despite consistently documenting these problems. At this point we filed complaints with the BBB and Capital One.

Update. It's been nearly a month since my move and these guys have been harassing me to delete my reviews weekly. They tried to pay me to delete everything. They sent $200 and I realized I couldn't delete the thumbtack review, I removed the google (which I feel awful about because people need to know what these guys are like. Especially allowing them in your home". I blocked their number and I'm still getting text from other numbers. Beware. This isn't even a fraction of the text. They keep asking to call and saying they fired that guy then saying if I WANT him fired they will? Like what? Why put that on me? They tried guilting me about his family. Like this is all insane to me. BEWARE. I'm honestly scared to even post this because they have my address .....

I hired Father & Sons moving for a short haul move and i was incredibly impressed and happy with the fast and efficient service. Not only did they help me move all of my things over, they rebuilt my bed frames and sectional couch all within 3 hours. I had forgotten to pull cash out and was too frantic to rush out and do it while they were moving my things so i had to pay by card, thankfully they accept card, cash and Venmo. I'm very thankful for their services and if i ever have to move again, I'll definitely be using them again.

I have been burned by movers in the past with extra fees, tagged on at the very end of the move right before settling up, so I was wary at first. I spoke with Adam and continued communication with him right up until moving day. He was reliable, and he confirmed twice before the move. He was also very courteous and reassuring that the move would go smoothly even though I told him I had a LOT of stuff. On the day of the move, the three guys I had hired were running late, so I got worried. I was quickly reassured I would not have anything to fear when these three young men arrived. Duman, Vitali, and Didar were absolutely WONDERFUL. They were so incredibly careful with all of my furniture and boxes, were courteous, polite, and just all very sweet. They took special care in avoiding brushing, or banging up against walls, corners, etc., and we're finished in record time. Especially for the amount of stuff I had. I highly recommend this moving company as there were no surprise fees at all. Exactly as the contract read, just an extremely pleasant experience. Moving is stressful enough and father and sons, moving company, relieved any other stresses that may have come up. Can't say enough kind words about this company. Will definitely use them again in the future. ‼

Chose this company due to high reviews and price. I regret my decision. They showed up 2 hours after scheduled time which caused the move to go uncomfortably late into the night. They scratched the wood floor, leaned a not very well wrapped mattress into bushes, and broke my bed since they could not properly disassemble it. The movers were nice enough but that does not outweigh the quality of service. I do not recommend this company and I will check the bad reviews of highly rated companies moving forward. read more

I used father and sons moving to relocate a pool table from Laguna Hills to Huntington Beach gym was the hat for men on the job and he was also with Kim his crew . They did an amazing job and moved everything in a timely matter and took the time to wrap my pool table and make sure nothing was damaged during the delivery and installation. Talo & Jake were fabulous! They four hours within being called, and brought the appropriate size truck, and Materials to do the job. They were polite, professional, and never complained. It was a difficult move with a very heavy or moi that needed to be lifted through a window out of the basement. They went to multiple sites, ending at my parents to drop off a washer and dryer. And we're very polite with them even at 10 o'clock at night. I would highly recommend. Do you be aware of the extra charges for cash and four double time on driving more than 10 miles. It does add up. read more

The positives 2/3 movers were pleasant and had a noticeably higher work ethic than the 3rd who was on his phone a considerable amount of time during the move. I have never worked more during a move I carried chairs, lights, lamps, downstairs and packed a considerable amount of things in my own car to save time because I could tell even an hour in the move was poorly paced and felt pressure to hop in myself. I moved from a 3br townhouse which had only 1 bedroom set, 1 office and the 3rd room contained a peloton and some coats, 2 egg chars and some boxes from the garage. My move took about 10 hours and I was changed an additional 2.5 hrs of overtime!! I have moved 6x and the average move have taken has been about 6 hrs. I booked them because their rate was competitive 130 for 3 movers but I would gladly pay more for more efficient movers as the net cost would have been $500+ less. I paid 1500 after an $80 discount due to how dissatisfied I was. I couldn't even say goodbye to the movers and they let themselves out because I was in tears. I didn't even allow them to clear all of the wrapping paper that they left and made seven trips to the bin myself I just wanted them gone so the clock could stop. The day was so long and stressful I unfortunately would not book again. Don't bargain hunt you'll pay in overtime. read more

Kim and the gang were a pleasure to work with. They are hard working, honest, and helpful. We had a lot of furniture that we were worried about moving, but I was amazed at how quickly they protected it all with blankets and plastic wrap before transport. My boyfriend and I hired this company for the first time to assist us with moving his 1 bedroom apartment into a storage unit ... our movers were Alen and Oleg. The rates were pretty reasonable compared to the other companies we called.. they quoted us $99 per hour with a 3 hour minimum and additional fuel fee .: which was not too bad at all ...They were not only professional , but extremely nice and punctual .. they got started right away with packing things as soon as they got there .. most movers bs around to kill Time and make more money but not these guys they were quick and didn't go over the 3 hours they quoted us .. I would definitely recommend them again and look forward to using them when my boyfriend and I move into our house next year ! Thanks again guys read more

I needed furniture moved from one room to another on a specific dates and time cause my floors had to be changed. Guys showed up on the days and time I needed and did an amazing job. They were very patient with me deciding what will go where and then performing the work I needed. I used Father & Sons Moving company today for a local move. What I thought would be a fairly simple local move turned out to be a lot more tedious! The team of four young men that they sent over to help with the move were fantastic. Not only were they professional, but they were all extremely polite ans good natured. While I was ready to breakdown with all the stuff that I have, they went about doing their job with no complaints, despite the warm weather. Great attitudes, great work ethic. There were repeated loud crashes and heavy impacts strong enough to shake parts of the building, making it hard not to notice how rough everything sounded. At several points, belongings and equipment also appeared to be left unattended in common areas for extended periods, creating clutter. Moving is already stressful enough without adding unnecessary noise, confusion, and disruption to everyone around. The entire operation came across as rushed and poorly managed, and it definitely did not leave a positive impression. Afterward, I decided to look further into the company, and several things raised additional concerns for me. The company markets itself heavily in places like California and New York, yet official records list the business as being based in Carrollton, Texas. Another thing that caught my attention was the company's presentation of experience. We did a long distance move across the country, with lots of furniture, boxes, and fragile items. Luckily Alex & Abzal did a wonderful job from start to finish. The thing I appreciated the most was how thorough they were and that they were especially careful with our fragile items. My computer monitor and very thin TV in particular were tricky to load, travel, then unload. Both still work just fine and they weren't damaged. Nothing else was damaged too. They gave very precise time estimates for when they would arrive to pack everything, and for when they would arrive to unload everything. The apartment we were moving out of had a very difficult parking situation, but they were still able to park the truck safely, as close to our front door as they could, and avoiding inconveniencing anyone else in our apartment. Another difficult part they handled well was getting our very heavy mattress up to the bedroom in our new place. It has no handles to make it easier to carry, but they still made it work and set it on our bed frame for us. Alex & Abzal were very friendly and professional. The 3 men showed up 8am as promised and were highly experienced. Nothing was broken or damaged. They treated me like I was their own mother. They worked a long 16 hours. I enjoyed their help on my move especially because it was my birthday. The last time I used this company was 50 years ago when I bought my first house and now that I sold my last house. Excellent experience both times. I recommended this company to over 1000 people and they raved every time. They will never forget my home made oatmeal cookies and the homemade dinner my daughter made for us. I will never forget their faces and utter kindness. Great moving company! Oleg, Max, and Esen moved our 2 bed 2 bath from Granada Hills to Mid City. They arrived on time and took great care of all of our belongings. They took the time to pack and wrap everything with care and precision, including our couch, large ikea table, king size bed, outdoor glass table, and oversized mirror.
