New to the area and was looking for a reliable Mexican spot. Probably would have given 3.5-4 stars based on my initial meal, but my left overs grossed me out. I ordered two chicken quesadillas, a side of chips and a side of spicy salsa. When it first was delivered, it was a pretty large portion and the chips and salsa were great. The salsa was pretty spicy so if you don't like spicy, you should get regular heat. The quesadillas tasted good, nothing amazing, but good solid quesadilla. When I went to eat my leftovers the next day, I bit into a HUGE piece of bone. The bone was probably the length of my pinky finger. It grossed me out and I couldn't finish the rest of my leftovers after that. I don't want to have to worry about having bones in my chicken so I'm not sure if I would order from here again :-( Maybe I will stay away from anything that may potentially have bones in it because the prices were reasonable and the portions were big. read more

It is a good taco. Is it amazing? No it is not. Will you get a smile? Definitely. They make good tacos here. And for Brooklyn they are good. For California, they would be ok. I actually liked here the grilled fish tacos. First time I prefer it over the steak or the chicken. Flour tortilla is a must, and a touch of spice and lemon. Guy at the counter was on his phone, didn't look up. I said "Hello", he half-heartedly wrote down my order and then went back to texting... I had my credit card out to pay and he still texted... I said "Hello? Do I need to pay? What should I do now?" and he snapped back that I don't need to pay until after I get my food but fiiiiiiiine he'll ring me up now. I could not have been more of a burden on this dude as he searched for the perfect emoji to text whoever. How was I supposed to know the "rules"? I was standing there like a normal person doing a normal thing: trying to pay for my food and he disappeared me. He was a snappy emo bro who seemed like he despised the entire situation. His coworker was doing most of the heavy lifting of handing out orders while he texted more, head down. Quesadilla was fine, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Oh what's not to like! Great taco. Chill atmosphere. Fair prices and nice staff. I like both their tacos and burritos. Go with tacos if you want more variety, and have a burrito when you just want to fall into a food coma afterwards. Admit it, you have those days too. :) My favorite here is the steak. Steak tacos, steak burritos. Both amazing. Be sure to grab extra hot sauce if you are doing takeout. They would ask if you wanted any hot sauce and then only give you one pack per taco. It's not their fault really. Apparently there are humans among us who wouldn't have hot sauce with their tacos. I was shocked and lost for speech when I heard it. Anyway, because of that, if you are a hot sauce fan like me, just ask for extras. Back to the food. Everything is great about it. Fresh. Delicious. Be sure to squeeze that lime juice on your tacos. Had to tell the guy at the counter my order about 4 times, and he wasn't especially nice about it. I think there were issues with the register or something. Anyway, food itself was fine. I ordered a side of rice and it was just plain white rice, not mexican rice, which is what I had expected. Prices are okay. Had a couple of tacos--fish and al pastor. Both were pretty good and service was quick. Cashiers were super nice and they accept cards. Not as good as Burrito Deli, but hey, it's in my neighborhood and is a billion times better than the now-defunct OMG Taco. I'd go back, definitely. Update: This place has gone downhill since my first review. I can only assume the owner handed the operations over to a Burger King manager. The food has gotten downright nasty at times and the staff (which is constantly turning over) is disinterested and somewhat rude at times. No longer worth a visit -- too many better options in the area. Mmmmmm. The chicken quesadilla has the perfect amount of spice and flavor and big chicken chunks to feed both me and my son. I was so excited to try fatty daddy but I was sadly let down after trying it. First of all is wasn't cheap, a burrito is close to 9 bucks and guacamole and a small bag of chips was close to 7 dollars (!). The people who worked there were nice however and the guacamole was certainly the star of the show (I think it's the best thing they have there). But the burritos were gross. In particular the long grain white rice had no flavor and just didn't taste right in a burrito. And the burrito was large but only because they put soooo much rice in it. I might as well have ordered a rice burrito bc there was a complete lack of other items in the burrito. All in all, I won't go back as there are so many better burrito options in the area, that are cheaper and have flavor. read more

They really fill up your taco or burrito! There's a lot of flavor in the food and it blends together really well. Me and my friends ordered takeout and all the containers and bags were so neat! Our food didn't turn over nor did our drinks because they package it in a very organized manner and also tight as well. The tacos are a regular size btw, but very stuffed. read more

This place is ok enough, it's pretty basic. The chips and salsa tasted like they just came from the grocery store and the black beans tasted like they just came out of the can with no seasoning or anything. It wasn't bad, it just tasted like something I could make myself easily at home with ingredients from Trader Joes. With Dos Toros, Buddy's Burritos and Lobo nearby I wouldn't find myself here again. Yum! This place is so good. Simple, fresh Mexican food. The portions are huge- so huge sometimes I don't order from here if I'm trying to be portion control conscious. I try not to gush too much on reviews. As in my opinion it shows a lack of refined tonality and taste when it comes to good eating. I have tried this new taco joint on Smith Street, and will hold off on further comments till I've had a few turns at the wheel. I will say, they make a nice guac and the beans are seasoned, a rarity in these cut rate Mex restaurants that typically cheapen the cuisine to the basest common denominator and expect the populace to feed on their trash. read more
