I ordered DoorDash, 2 beef taco plate, a tamale, and a chile relleno. I have ordered her before and it's been mid, but ok for the price. This time when I ordered, the bag wasn't tied, no utensils, no salsa, napkins, just poorly wrapped food. The beef tacos were full of meat, but had store bought Mexican cheese, hardly any lettuce, and zero queso cheese. I had to throw out the tamale and chile, bc they tasted horribly of some sort of chemical. I'm not sure if the red sauce was accidentally mixed in cleaning detergent or what. The refried beans, basically canned and microwaved with bad cheese. The rice, no flavor, nothing, inedible. While waiting, I watched one of the workers greet every single person who walked in like they were family. People clearly knew him -- they lit up when they saw him, and he gave each customer his full attention, like they were the only one in the room. He was so present, kind, and genuinely happy to take care of everyone. You could feel the love and respect he had for the people who come in, and the energy was honestly beautiful. It made me appreciate this place so much more. I loved the fact that they had the carrots and jalapenos bagged up on ice, and you can just grab a bag of the carrots and jalapenos. Also they had already filled with the sauces. I feel their chorizo is cooked with a spice that I can't pinpoint. Like a cinnamon stick or allspice? This is not a traditional Mexican restaurant. Similar concept to Taco Bell. Very salty, my burrito had 2 wraps and too much shredded cheese. The rollos are frozen, this are Similar to flautas but definitely not fresh. There is a flavor that tells me this is not made in the restaurant. Customer service is a great kind server. The lobby is clean, and the bathroom has a funky smell. This is a place for non-mexicans. It's the Mexican American side. He felt it was lacking on the cheese and had a lot of egg. I thought it was less oily compared to a lot of breakfast burritos I've had in the past and didn't mind that. Since it was not as oily I felt it was lacking on flavor. The sauces definitely made it so much better. Arrived here around 2 o'clock in the afternoon today to an almost empty dining room. I ordered two specials five rolled tacos with drink and taco chicken salad with drink. Total cost $23, great deal! The portions were big and the cashier was very friendly and efficient. The meal was for my husband and my teenage son and we were all full, however both my husband and son and I did not care for the rolled tacos but the Carne Asada was delicious and the taco salad was great!
